What is the Drive 15019 mattress?
It is a latex-free therapeutic foam mattress, 36 inches wide and 80 inches long. Drive cuts the foam horizontally into five zones so pressure is spread differently from head to heel. The sheet says this cross-cut foam reduces shear and friction, and that the foam holds up with fewer service calls than an innerspring. A non-skid bottom keeps it on the bed. Drive rates it to 350 lb.
What is the cover?
The cover is removable polyurethane stretch. Drive describes it as fluid resistant, low shear, and vapour permeable. It meets flammability standards CFR 1632 and CFR 1633. The mattress warranty is 3 years. The cover warranty is 1 year. A cover-only spare, item 15019C, is not included.
Who is a foam zone mattress for?
It is for a standard homecare bed that needs a foam surface rather than an air pump. If the person needs powered alternating pressure, look at the air systems on the alternating pressure page, such as the Salute RDX. This 15019 has no pump and no electricity.

How do you clean it?
Drive's user manual says to clean and disinfect the mattress between patients, with the person off the bed. Do not open the zipper during cleaning or during use. Do not launder or autoclave the cover. Staff should wear protective equipment and follow the disinfectant maker's mix instructions. Wipe soiled areas. Do not soak the foam.
How does it compare?
