Westin Healthcare quotes it, delivers it, and places it on the crib, isolette, warmer, or mattress for families and care sites in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This page is the Span America Delta Pediatric Overlay only. Span cuts a series of 5-sided cells into the middle layer so the body can immerse into the pad while the top stays flat. Span writes that this flat surface may assist in eliminating breathing interference when the person lies prone. Span designed the overlay to alleviate head and scapular pressures that arise because infants' heads are large and babies tend to lie on their backs for long periods. Span writes that it provides low interface pressures over the head and body of the infant. The line is for patients less than 70 lb. If a clinician has named Geo-Matt, Geo-Mattress, or a PressureGuard surface, ask us for that Span product. Those are separate surfaces.
Who this overlay is for
This overlay is for an infant or child whose weight is below Span's 70 lb rating and whose clinician has asked for a pediatric foam overlay for skin management. Span writes it for home or hospital pediatric settings. It sits on the existing isolette, warmer, crib, or mattress. It does not replace that surface.
Families and directors of care usually call us when the care team has asked for a Span Delta overlay in a crib, isolette, warmer, or 32 or 34 inch by 75 inch size. If the child is over 70 lb, or the team has asked for a full mattress or air therapy, we already stock Span PressureGuard Custom Care and Span-Care surfaces and will quote those instead.

Construction and how it works
The Delta Pediatric Overlay is a non-powered foam overlay. Span cuts unique 5-sided cells into the middle layer. The body can immerse into those cells while the person still feels a flat surface. Span writes that this may assist in eliminating breathing interference in the prone position, and that the design gives high conformance to body contours.
Span lists the overlay as safe, non-toxic, heat-resistant, and comfortable. Every Delta foam overlay includes Soft Skin. There is no pump and no air hose.

Span lists a line weight limit of less than 70 lb. Heights are 2.75 in on the crib, 3.5 in on the 32 and 34 inch overlays, 1.75 in on the isolette, and 2.25 in on the warmer. The overlay is non-powered. Span's catalog primary use is skin management in infants and children. Soft Skin is included on all five sizes.

Span does not publish a 35, 36, or 80 inch Delta size. If the deck is a 35 inch Span America Advantage or a 36 to 42 inch Span America Encore, ask us for a Span mattress in that width.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this overlay across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, place it on the crib, isolette, warmer, or mattress, and show you the Soft Skin cover before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see an overlay first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased overlays are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This overlay ships smaller than a full mattress, but we still treat it as a scheduled medical delivery inside the GTA. If it is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Span publishes five Delta sizes and names the surface each one is for. Use the size that matches the isolette, warmer, crib, or mattress already in the room. The surface underneath is sold separately.

No. The Delta Pediatric Overlay is non-powered. There is no pump to plug in or to hear at night.
