Description
The Power Plus Super Tilt Plus (STP) is a Category 5 manual tilt wheelchair built in Canada by Power Plus Mobility. Westin Healthcare configures it in Brampton after an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist writes the prescription. The Ontario Assistive Devices Program lists this frame as WM0001040. It is built to order, not pulled off a shelf the same day.
Power Plus calls the STP its standard higher-tilt frame. The official spec table prints 0 to 55 degrees of tilt, a trigger on the stroller handle, a 16 to 24 inch seat width, a 14 to 36 inch seat depth, a 12.25 to 18.25 inch seat-to-floor range, a chair of about 60 lbs, and a 26 inch standard back. Standard occupant rating is 250 lbs, with heavier builds available. This is the STP, not the Extreme (WM0001041).
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who needs a manual dynamic tilt frame because seating parts alone do not keep them upright, and whose therapist has placed them in ADP Category 5. Families usually call us when they want more tilt than the Extreme's 25 degrees, a trigger the caregiver can reach on the stroller handle, and a low seat that can still reach the wheels.
If the person needs the 0 to 25 degree Extreme instead, use the Power Plus Extreme. If they need a 45 degree Maple Leaf steel frame, see the Maple Leaf SuperTilt. A transport chair with small rear wheels is a different product.
- A prescribed Category 5 tilt on the STP frame
- ADP code WM0001040
- Trigger tilt and a 26 inch standard back
Design and build
The STP is a depth-adjustable tilt frame with dual gas cylinders and a two-way locking strut. A trigger on the stroller handle (or another mount the therapist picks) releases the tilt. Power Plus prints lockout collars and a standard 26 inch back with adjustable stroller handles. Seat-belt holes are pre-drilled. Anti-tippers adjust without extra tools.
Arms come off and move up or down with a trigger. Front hangers latch and swing in or out, which helps in a tight room. Brakes can be aluminum or steel, push-to-lock or pull-to-lock, with 3, 6, or 9 inch extensions. The rear axle can move forward for a tighter turn or back for a taller, more stable setup. Power Plus still paints black and silver as the standard colours and will paint a custom colour when the order allows time.

Power Plus Super Tilt Plus specifications
These figures are for Westin SKU WM0001040. The specification tab holds the stored values. Use the Power Plus STP sheet, not Extreme 0-25 degree lines.
Seat width 16 to 24 inches. Seat depth 14 to 36 inches. Seat height 12.25 to 18.25 inches. Spec-table tilt 0 to 55 degrees (the product page also writes 50 degrees in the intro). Back angle 0, 5, 10, or 15 degrees. Stroller handle 0 to 180 degrees. Standard back height 26 inches. Chair about 60 lbs. Standard occupant 250 lbs; Power Plus writes that larger cylinders can take the chair to 400 lbs, and the spec table prints up to 600 lbs.
Owner-manual warranty for the original purchaser: two years on workmanship and materials, five years on the frame and cross-braces. Tires, tubes, arm pads, and upholstery are wear items and sit outside that term.
Colour, seat width, and seat depth
Use Color to set black, silver, blue, or burgundy. Power Plus still treats black and silver as the standard pair and paints other colours on request. Use Seat Width for 16 to 24 inches and Seat Depth for 16 to 24 inches. Manufacturer depth also lists 14 and 15 inches and goes out to 36 inches; those extra depths are written on the order if the therapist needs them.
This chair is built after the assessment. Westin does not ship a default STP the same day you call.
ADP funding for a Category 5 wheelchair in Ontario
This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, set the prescribed seat and tilt, and show you the tilt trigger, the wheel locks, and the anti-tippers before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a tilt chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date after the chair is built.
If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions
What does Category 5 mean on this wheelchair?
Category 5 is Ontario ADP's adult manual dynamic tilt class. It is for a person who needs the seat to tilt because seating parts alone do not keep them upright. The STP is listed on that table as WM0001040 (SuperTilt Plus).
How is the STP different from the Extreme?
The STP is the higher-tilt Power Plus frame with a trigger on the stroller handle. The Extreme is WM0001041 and stops at 25 degrees while holding front seat-to-floor height. They are two ADP codes.
Who qualifies for ADP on a Category 5 chair?
You must be an Ontario resident with a valid health card and a disability that needs a mobility aid for six months or longer. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess you before the application. Westin cannot promise that a named person will be approved.
How does the 75 / 25 split work?
For an eligible client, ADP pays 75 percent of the approved price and the person pays 25 percent. Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD can open 100 percent of the approved price. Extra items that ADP does not list are the person's cost. Do not buy the chair before approval if you want that funding.
What is the assessment process?
You see an ADP-registered OT or PT. They confirm the need and the category, then write the STP configuration with Westin. We help complete the application and submit it. Ontario says it aims to review a mobility application within eight weeks.
Can I try an STP before it is built?
Come into a Brampton or Toronto store and we will show you a tilt chair on the floor if one is there. A floor chair is rarely the exact seat and colour on your order. The therapist may also arrange a trial through the clinic.
What seat width do I need?
The therapist measures seated hip width. Power Plus lists 16 to 24 inches wide and 14 to 36 inches deep on the STP. Use Seat Width and Seat Depth to record the prescribed size.
Who pushes the STP?
A caregiver can push from the stroller handle and fire the tilt trigger there. If the rear wheels and seat height allow, the person in the chair can also reach back and self-propel. Power Plus writes that they can hold a 12.25 inch seat and still reach the wheels.
What is the weight capacity?
Standard is 250 lbs. Power Plus writes that larger cylinders can take 400 lbs, and the spec table prints up to 600 lbs. Stay at or under the rating written on your chair.
What is the warranty?
Two years on workmanship and materials, five years on the frame and cross-braces for the original purchaser. Wear items are excluded. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
What happens if ADP declines the application?
Ontario will send a letter with the reason and the appeal path. Do not take delivery against an ADP promise until that letter is in. We can talk through a private-pay order or another frame. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page.
What is included with the STP?
You get the prescribed Super Tilt Plus frame (ADP WM0001040) with the seat, wheels, arms, hangers, and anti-tippers written on the order. A headrest such as the MAHF is included only if the therapist writes it. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets the chair up across Brampton and the GTA.
