The Whitmyer PLUSH Head Support is Sunrise Medical's basic posterior wheelchair head support for Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Sunrise writes the single contoured pad for tilt or recline, with a cupping shape.

The Whitmyer PLUSH Head Support fits a person whose seating therapist wants a simple posterior pad that can later take facial laterals or an anterior strap. A seating therapist should confirm the pad width. This page does not give clinical positioning advice.

Pad, covers, and mount hardware

The Whitmyer PLUSH Head Support is a single contoured pad. Covers are Lycra (4-way stretch, water-resistant), Fleece (washable lambswool), or Dartex Reversed (anti-allergenic, waterproof, 2-way stretch). Laterals and anterior supports are add-ons. Six Whitmyer hardware families are printed on the adult cards: Axys, Onyx, Linx, Pro, Cobra Xtra, and Cobra Xtra Flip Back. The pad and the hardware are separate order lines. We measure the back before we pick a stem. We do not invent a cane diameter. The PLUSH body text also names Linx2; the spec table does not. We will confirm Linx2 on the order form if the therapist wants that stem.

Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario

This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin's own team delivers this head support across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, check it against the wheelchair, and show you the cover and any hardware before we leave.

Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased seating is delivered on a scheduled date after the assessment and quote.
