Description

The Spex High Profile Cushion is a reused Westin row for a historic Spex cushion name. On 15 August 2026 the live Canadian Spex cushion index lists Standard Contour, Flex, High Contour, and SuperHigh Contour. High Profile is not on that index. The guessed CA and US High Profile URLs return 404. Spex Seating Global's cushion list also has no High Profile model.

If you already use a High Profile, we can still talk through leftover stock and a current path. The current CA Spex cushion for extra pelvic and hip immersion is the Spex High Contour Cushion. Height, weight, and capacity for High Profile are omitted because no current Sunrise Canada spec table exists.

Who this cushion is for

New assessments should start on High Contour or SuperHigh Contour unless leftover High Profile stock is confirmed. A seating therapist should confirm any replacement. This page does not give clinical positioning advice.

  • Not on the current sunrisemedical.ca Spex cushion index
  • Successor on CA: Spex High Contour
  • Leftover Seat Width and Seat Depth choices: 16, 18, or 20 inches

What is current instead

The Spex High Contour Cushion is the live CA extra-immersion Spex cushion, 2 to 3 inches (5 to 8 cm) high, widths 10 to 20 inches, depths 10 to 22 inches, 200 / 300 lb (90 / 136 kg) on the CA card. The Spex SuperHigh Contour Cushion is the deeper stepped contour. The Spex Standard Contour Cushion is the milder start.

Spex High Profile Cushion specifications

No current Sunrise Canada spec table exists for High Profile, so height, product weight, and capacity are omitted. Leftover Seat Width and Seat Depth choices are 16, 18, and 20 inches. SKU SE0001638 is on the Westin row and is not decoded on a current Spex CA card.

Which Spex wheelchair cushion

Do not plan a new High Profile order around this name. Use the Spex High Contour Cushion or the Spex SuperHigh Contour Cushion after a seating assessment.

Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario

This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers this wheelchair cushion across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, check it against the wheelchair, and show you the cover and any hardware before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a sample first. For a scheduled in-home drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased seating is delivered on a scheduled date after the assessment and quote.

If the order is going outside the GTA, ask us for a shipping quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty

When something on the seating needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Sunrise Medical Spex warranty

There is no current High Profile owner's-manual term on the live CA card. Current Spex cushions use a 24 month cushion term in the shared Spex cushion manual. We will confirm any leftover High Profile unit against the paperwork that ships with it.

Frequently asked questions

Is The Spex High Profile Cushion Still Current?

The Spex High Profile Cushion is not on the live Canadian Spex cushion index as of 15 August 2026. The current extra-immersion Spex cushion is High Contour.

What Replaces The Spex High Profile Cushion?

The Spex High Contour Cushion is the current CA Spex cushion for extra pelvic and hip immersion. SuperHigh Contour is the deeper stepped option.

What Size Wheelchair Cushion Do I Need?

A seating therapist measures hip width in sitting and matches the wheelchair seat. Spex CA cards for Standard, High, and SuperHigh Contour print widths 10 to 20 inches (25 to 50 cm) and depths 10 to 22 inches (25 to 56 cm). Ride Java prints discrete widths and depths from 14 to 20 inches.

Does ADP Cover Wheelchair Cushions?

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program can help with a wheelchair cushion or back support after an ADP-registered therapist assessment with an eligible mobility device. Eligibility depends on the person. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.

Do I Order This Off The Shelf?

This is a quote-only seating product. Westin configures it after a seating assessment with an occupational therapist or physiotherapist. There is no add-to-cart delivery of a custom or made-to-order seat.

How Do I Choose Between Gel, Foam, And Air Cushions?

Spex and Ride Designs cushions in this family are foam or custom foam, not a JAY Flow fluid pad and not an air-cell cushion. A seating therapist picks the medium. If the assessment points to fluid or air, ask us about current JAY or ROHO options instead.

What Sizes Are On This High Profile Row?

The reused Spex High Profile Cushion row still has Seat Width and Seat Depth choices of 16, 18, and 20 inches. Those leftover choices are not proof of a current model.

Can I See This Seating In Brampton?

Westin Healthcare can show Spex, Ride Designs, and Whitmyer samples in the Brampton and Toronto stores when they are on the floor, and can quote a configured product after a seating assessment. Call (905) 451-7743.
