Description
The Future Mobility Orion III is a Category 5 manual tilt-in-space wheelchair. Westin Healthcare configures it in Brampton after an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist writes the prescription. The Ontario Assistive Devices Program lists this frame as WM0001195. It is built to order, not pulled off a shelf the same day.
Future Mobility's Orion III sheet lists 3 to 45 degrees of tilt, an optional recline, a growable steel frame, seat widths from 16 to 24 inches, seat depths from 15 to 24 inches, a 13 to 20 inch seat-to-floor range, a 57 lb chair, and a 300 lb limit. Dual gas cylinders sit under the seat. This is the Orion III, not the Orion II (WMA5FM005) and not the Orion II 500.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who needs a manual dynamic tilt frame because seating parts alone do not keep them upright, and whose therapist has placed them in ADP Category 5. Families usually call us when they need a growable tilt frame, a low seat for foot propulsion, and a chair that can be pushed or self-propelled once the rear wheels are set.
If the person needs the earlier Orion II and code WMA5FM005, use the Future Mobility Orion II. If they need a Power Plus higher-tilt frame, see the Power Plus Super Tilt Plus. A transport chair with small rear wheels is a different product.
- A prescribed Category 5 tilt on the Orion III frame
- ADP code WM0001195
- Hand or foot propulsion, once the front opening and wheels are set on the order
Design and build
The Orion III is a steel tilt-in-space frame with a growable seat and dual cross gas cylinders under the chair. Future Mobility prints 3 to 45 degrees of tilt and an optional -9 to +33 degree recline. The front opening is cut for foot propulsion. The rear axle has more than one mount so the therapist can trade stability for a tighter turn.
Anti-tippers are quick flip-up. Arms are full-length T-style, pin-release T-style, or flip-back, with gel or vinyl pads. Rear wheels come off and run 12, 16, 20, 22, or 24 inch composite urethane. Casters are 4, 5, 6, or 8 inch. The back can fold down on release pins. That is a fold-down back, not a compact folding frame.

Future Mobility Orion III specifications
These figures are for Westin SKU WM0001195. The specification tab holds the stored values. Use Future Mobility's Orion III sheet, not leftover Orion II numbers.
Seat width 16 to 24 inches. Seat depth 15 to 24 inches. Overall width is the seat plus 9.5 inches on the narrow setup, or plus 10.0 inches handrim to handrim on the regular setup. Seat to floor 13 to 20 inches. Rear wheels 12, 16, 20, 22, or 24 inch composite urethane. Casters 4, 5, 6, or 8 inch urethane. Orion back 16, 18, or 20 inches high. Back angles -7, 0, 7, 14, or 21 degrees. Chair weight 57 lbs. Weight capacity 300 lbs. Frame steel.
Owner-manual warranty for the original purchaser: lifetime on the frame and cross-brace, two years on the back and cushions excluding upholstery, one year on other components, 90 days on cushion and back upholstery. Tires, tubes, caster wheels, push-handles, and grips sit outside that term. If a power-tilt kit is on the order, Future Mobility's spec sheet warrants those batteries for six months and the control box, charger, actuator, and hand control for one year.
Frame, seat, and seating choices
Use Frame Type to set regular tilt, tilt assist, or the power-tilt option. Use Frame Finish for the manufacturer colour names. Color is a second colour axis on the same chair. Use Seat Width (Options) and Seat Depth for the prescribed seat. Width and Depth repeat those axes. Rear Wheel Options, Caster Options, Arm Type, Back Options, Seat Options, Front Rigging, and the headrest rows are filled from the therapist's order, not guessed at checkout.
This chair is built after the assessment. Westin does not ship a default Orion III the same day you call.
ADP funding for a Category 5 wheelchair in Ontario
This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, set the prescribed seat and tilt, and show you the tilt release, the wheel locks, and the flip-up anti-tippers before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a tilt chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date after the chair is built.
If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions
What does Category 5 mean on this wheelchair?
Category 5 is Ontario ADP's adult manual dynamic tilt class. It is for a person who needs the seat to tilt because seating parts alone do not keep them upright. The Orion III is listed on that table as WM0001195.
How is the Orion III different from the Orion II?
The Orion III is the later growable frame with dual cross gas cylinders, a 16 to 24 inch seat start, a 57 lb chair, and a 300 lb limit. The Orion II is WMA5FM005, starts at 15 inches, and uses the 250 / 350 lb split on Future Mobility's June 2026 form. They are two ADP codes, not two names for one chair.
Who qualifies for ADP on a Category 5 chair?
You must be an Ontario resident with a valid health card and a disability that needs a mobility aid for six months or longer. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess you before the application. Westin cannot promise that a named person will be approved.
How does the 75 / 25 split work?
For an eligible client, ADP pays 75 percent of the approved price and the person pays 25 percent. Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD can open 100 percent of the approved price. Extra items that ADP does not list are the person's cost. Do not buy the chair before approval if you want that funding.
What is the assessment process?
You see an ADP-registered OT or PT. They confirm the need and the category, then write the Orion III configuration with Westin. We help complete the application and submit it. Ontario says it aims to review a mobility application within eight weeks.
Can I try an Orion III before it is built?
Come into a Brampton or Toronto store and we will show you a tilt chair on the floor if one is there. A floor chair is rarely the exact seat and wheel set on your order. The therapist may also arrange a trial through the clinic.
What seat width do I need?
The therapist measures seated hip width. Future Mobility lists 16 to 24 inches wide and 15 to 24 inches deep. Use Seat Width (Options) and Seat Depth to record the prescribed size.
Who pushes the Orion III?
Future Mobility writes that the Orion III can be moved by hand or by foot. Larger rear wheels and handrims let the user self-propel. A caregiver can push from the canes or the stroller bar. Engage both wheel locks before sitting or standing.
Will the Orion III fold into a car trunk?
The back can fold down on the release pins. The steel tilt frame does not collapse to a transport-chair package. Two people and a larger hatch make the lift easier. We can show you the back fold at delivery.
What is the warranty?
Lifetime frame and cross-brace for the original purchaser, two years on the back and cushions excluding upholstery, one year on other components, 90 days on upholstery. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
What happens if ADP declines the application?
Ontario will send a letter with the reason and the appeal path. Do not take delivery against an ADP promise until that letter is in. We can talk through a private-pay order or another frame. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page.
What is included with the Orion III?
You get the prescribed Orion III tilt-in-space frame with the seat, wheels, arms, hangers, anti-tippers, and seating written on the order. Frame Type, Rear Wheel Options, Back Options, and Seat Options record those choices. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets the chair up across Brampton and the GTA.
