Description
The Future Mobility Orion II is a Category 5 manual tilt-in-space wheelchair. Westin Healthcare configures it in Brampton after an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist writes the prescription. The Ontario Assistive Devices Program lists this frame as WMA5FM005. It is built to order. It is not a folding transport chair and it is not sitting in a box for same-day pickup.
Future Mobility's current Orion II sheet lists 45 degrees of tilt, a steel tilt-in-space frame, seat widths from 15 to 24 inches, seat depths from 15 to 24 inches, and a seat-to-floor range from 13.25 to 20 inches. The brochure chair weight is 65 lbs. Rear wheels come in 12, 20, 22, or 24 inch. This is the standard Orion II, not the Orion II 500 and not the Orion III.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who needs a manual dynamic tilt frame because seating parts alone do not keep them upright, and whose therapist has placed them in ADP Category 5. Families usually call us when a standard folding wheelchair cannot reposition the seat, or when they need a low seat-to-floor height and a tilt that the caregiver or the user can lock.
If the person needs the later Orion III growable frame and the WM0001195 code, use the Future Mobility Orion III. If they need a Power Plus 0 to 25 degree dynamic tilt instead, see the Power Plus Extreme. If they only need a companion-pushed chair with small rear wheels, a transport chair is a different product and is not this Category 5 frame.
- A prescribed Category 5 tilt, not an off-the-shelf folder
- A Future Mobility Orion II with ADP code WMA5FM005
- Someone who may self-propel or be pushed, once the wheel size is set on the order
Design and build
The Orion II is a steel tilt-in-space frame. The seat tilts as one unit so the person's hip and knee angles stay put while their orientation changes. Future Mobility's brochure calls out 45 degrees of tilt and an optional recline. A Posi-Lock under the chair lets the tilt stop and hold.
Anti-tippers ship on the chair. Arms are T-style, pin-release, or flip-back, and they come off for a side transfer. Front hangers are pin, swing-away, dual swing-away, or elevating, set on the order. Rear wheels are composite urethane in 12, 20, 22, or 24 inch. Casters are 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 inch. The back canes can fold down for a car. That is a fold-down back, not a 12 inch suitcase fold.

Future Mobility Orion II specifications
These figures are for Westin SKU WMA5FM005, the standard Orion II. The specification tab holds the stored values. Use Future Mobility's current Orion II brochure and the June 2026 order form, not the older aluminum / 40 lb / 300 lb / 12 by 31 folded lines if those still appear on the tab.
Seat width 15 to 24 inches. Seat depth 15 to 24 inches. Seat to floor 13.25 to 20 inches. Overall width is the seat width plus 9.5 inches. Chair weight 65 lbs on the July 2025 brochure. The June 2026 order form lists a 250 lb limit on the standard frame and a 350 lb limit on the heavy-duty option. Rear wheels 12, 20, 22, or 24 inch composite urethane. Casters 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 inch urethane. Back angles -7, 0, 7, 14, or 21 degrees.
Warranty for the original purchaser, from the July 2025 brochure and the June 2026 order form: one year on materials and workmanship, lifetime on the frame, 90 days on upholstery. If a power-tilt kit is on the order, Future Mobility warrants those batteries for six months and the control box, charger, actuator, and hand control for one year.
Colour, seat size, and wheel choices
Use Color to set the frame colour. Future Mobility's current colour row includes black, silver, blue, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow. Use Seat Width and Seat Depth for the prescribed seat. Width and Depth repeat those same axes. Wheel Size is only one 8 inch front / 12 inch rear pair; the therapist still picks the real rear wheel and caster from Future Mobility's matrix when the order is written.
This chair is built after the assessment. Westin does not ship a default Orion II the same day you call.
ADP funding for a Category 5 wheelchair in Ontario
This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, set the prescribed seat and tilt, and show you the tilt lock, the wheel locks, and the anti-tippers before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a tilt chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date after the chair is built.
If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Future Mobility manufacturer warranty
Future Mobility Healthcare warrants the Orion II to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. The frame is warranted for the lifetime of the original purchaser or user. Upholstery is 90 days. Wear, misuse, and unauthorized changes sit outside that term. We handle the claim with you.
Frequently asked questions
What does Category 5 mean on this wheelchair?
Category 5 is Ontario ADP's adult manual dynamic tilt class. It is for a person who needs the seat to tilt because seating parts alone do not keep them upright. The Orion II is listed on that table as WMA5FM005.
Who qualifies for ADP on a Category 5 chair?
You must be an Ontario resident with a valid health card and a disability that needs a mobility aid for six months or longer. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess you before the application. Income is not the test. Westin cannot promise that a named person will be approved.
How does the 75 / 25 split work?
For an eligible client, ADP pays 75 percent of the approved price and the person pays 25 percent. If the person is on Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD, ADP can pay 100 percent of the approved price. Extra items that ADP does not list are the person's cost. Do not buy the chair before approval if you want that funding.
What is the assessment process?
You see an ADP-registered OT or PT. They confirm the need and the category, then write the Orion II configuration with Westin. We help complete the application and submit it. Ontario says it aims to review a mobility application within eight weeks.
How long until the chair arrives?
The chair is built after the prescription and, when you are using ADP, after the funding path is clear. There is no same-day carton for this frame. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will give you the current build and delivery window for your order.
Can I try an Orion II before it is built?
Come into a Brampton or Toronto store and we will show you a tilt chair on the floor if one is there. A floor chair is rarely the exact seat, colour, and wheel set on your order. The therapist may also arrange a trial through the clinic.
What seat width do I need?
The therapist measures seated hip width and leaves a little room on each side. Future Mobility lists 15 to 24 inches wide and 15 to 24 inches deep on the Orion II. Use Seat Width and Seat Depth to record the prescribed size. Do not guess from a clothing size.
Is the Orion II a folding wheelchair?
No. It is a steel tilt-in-space frame. The back canes can fold down for a vehicle. It does not collapse to a 12 inch package the way a transport chair does.
Who pushes the Orion II?
Either person can, once the wheel size is set. Larger rear wheels and handrims let the user self-propel. Smaller rears and a stroller bar are for a caregiver. The therapist picks that on the order.
What is the warranty?
One year on materials and workmanship, lifetime on the frame for the original purchaser or user, 90 days on upholstery. Westin Healthcare processes the claim. Details are on our service and repairs page.
What happens if ADP declines the application?
Ontario will send a letter with the reason and the appeal path. Do not take delivery against an ADP promise until that letter is in. We can talk through a private-pay order, another category, or a different frame. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page.
What is included with the Orion II?
You get the prescribed Orion II tilt-in-space frame with the seat, wheels, arms, hangers, and anti-tippers written on the order. Cushions and backs are chosen with the therapist. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets the chair up across Brampton and the GTA.
