Description
The NuProdx MC4000 is a mobile shower commode chair for barrier-free showers. Westin Healthcare quotes it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It rolls over the toilet and into a roll-in shower so you are not doing a second bathroom transfer. It is not a tub slider.
The base MC4000 is 22 in wide, 28 lb (13 kg), rated at 300 lb (136 kg), with locking casters and a 17 x 17 in seat (optional 17 x 20 in). The MC4200 is the 400 lb, 25 in, 32 lb chair with 6 in casters. Tilt, 20 in / 24 in self-propel, and a 24 lb travel TX sit on the same series.
Who this shower commode is for
This chair is for a person with a roll-in or barrier-free shower who wants one transfer, then a roll over the toilet and into the shower. Families usually call us when a tub slider is the wrong tool because there is no tub wall.
If there is a tub to cross, start with the MC6000. If the user transfers independently onto a stationary chair, see the MC3000. For a child, see the MC4000 Pediatric. Among shower commodes we already stock, see the Raz AP and the Raz SP.
- Caster chairs for caregiver-pushed use
- 20 in or 24 in self-propel wheels on the 4020 / 4024 family
- A 24 lb MC4000 TX for travel
Wheels and transfers
Caster models roll into the shower and lock. Self-propel models use oversized handrims on 20 in or 24 in wheels, rear-mounted or reverse (RX) for a larger toilet tank. Flip-up locking cantilever arms clear for a transfer. Sunrise says the base promotes safe transfers outside the bathroom. We still measure doorways. The 4020 / 4220 family is 27-27.5 in wide.
This chair does not cross a tub wall. If the shower has a curb or a tub, look at the MC6000 or the MC5000.

Funding help for bathroom safety equipment in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund bathroom safety equipment, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada's Home and Vehicle Modification Program, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this shower commode across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, set the height, and show you the locks and the arms before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather talk through a measure first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Purchased chairs are delivered on a scheduled date after we confirm the measures.
If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
