Description
The Hoyer HPL402 is Joerns' electric homecare floor lift. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Joerns prints a safe working load of 400 lb (181 kg) on the current HPL402 spec sheet.
The boom is electric. The legs are manual. Joerns reverse-mounts the actuator for knee clearance and adds a mechanical down-release for a power cut. Leg guards and caster bumpers are standard. It is the electric sibling of the hydraulic HML400, not the folding Advance.
Who this lift is for
This lift is for a home that wants a 400 lb electric boom without a powered base. If you want a folding Hoyer, see the Hoyer Advance. If you need a 500 lb full-body floor lift we already stock, see the Span F500P. Browse the full family on our patient lifts hub.
- Full-body transfers at or under 400 lb
- A 5.5 in base clearance on Joerns' spec sheet for rolling under a bed or chair
- Manual down if the battery is empty

How to buy, delivery and setup
The price is the lift. HST is extra. A Hoyer sling is sold separately. Westin's own team delivers and sets it up across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the controls and the emergency functions before we leave.
You are welcome to visit our Brampton showroom at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive if you would rather see a lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service. Purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Floor and stand-aid lifts are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the lift is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund patient lifts, slings, or other lifting devices. ADP funds, on purchase only, at 75% of the approved price: manual and power wheelchairs, approved scooters, seating, and wheeled walkers for adults. OHIP does not reimburse these purchases.
Routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: Ontario Health atHome (call 310-2222), March of Dimes Canada for low-income applicants, ODSP, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and hardship programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 before you buy.
Which slings this lift fits
The HPL402 uses a Hoyer sling attachment. Stay inside 400 lb on both the lift and the sling, and never exceed the lowest rating of the two. Shop Westin's sling styles: full-body slings, universal slings, toileting slings, and divided-leg slings. We will confirm a sling Joerns accepts on this lift.
Warranty
When something on the lift needs work, you call the shop that set it up. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.
Joerns Hoyer Classics manufacturer warranty
Joerns' Hoyer Classics warranty (6160008 Rev E) covers the original purchaser in Canada and the USA: 1 year on the lift structure (base, mast, boom, suspension cradle), 1 year on the hydraulic pump or the electronic control box and actuator, 90 days on wear parts such as rubber, plastic, paint, batteries, and casters, and 1 year on the pendant. That PDF names HML400, HPL402, and C-HLA (and variations).
