Description
The K Care Air Comfort Chair is a 180 kg (397 lb) tilt-in-space comfort and therapy chair. K Care Healthcare Solutions manufactures it. Savaria Patient Care distributes it. Westin Healthcare quotes it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes and care rooms in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is the Standard chair, code AC59111. The seat is 470 mm (18.5 in) wide. Four air cells sit under the back, the lumbar, the seat, and the legs. Gas-strut levers set the back recline, the seat tilt, and the raising leg rest. If the person needs a bed for night rest, start with the Span America Encore. If they need a sit-to-stand aid to get into the chair, start with the Handicare ReTurn.
Who it is for
This chair is for a person who sits for long periods in a home or a long-term care room and needs pressure redistribution plus tilt positioning. K Care designed it for infirm or elderly people, with an attendant. Stay inside 180 kg (397 lb). The Standard chair is sized for a person about 1620-1880 mm (63.8-74.0 in) tall.
- Homes and care rooms that asked for a tilt-in-space comfort chair, not a shower commode
- People inside 180 kg (397 lb) who need air-cell seating for long sits
- Rooms that already use a Span America Encore or a Span America Advantage as the night bed
- Transfers that can use a Handicare Universal sling or a ReTurn sit-to-stand
What you get
The frame is mild steel with an epoxy powdercoat. Four 125 mm (4.9 in) PU castors carry the chair. Three have a red total-lock lever. One has a green directional lock for straight tracking. Lock the three red levers whenever the chair is still. The covers are VersoTela Fusion and Osguard PU. They wipe with a mild disinfectant wipe. The covers come off on hook-and-loop for a deeper clean. Do not bleach them, pressure-wash the chair, or put it in an autoclave.
The Airgonomic seat uses four TPU air bladders in high- and low-density foam: one in the backrest, one at the lumbar, one in the seat, and one in the leg rest. Each cell ships at a factory volume. The push handles have a foam grip. Pull the backrest lever or the seat lever to set the angle, then release to lock. The leg rest swings through its range on its own lever. Drop the arms and open the wings for a side transfer. The headrest lifts off and straps back on at the neck.
- Standard chair AC59111, 180 kg (397 lb)
- Four air cells: back, lumbar, seat, and leg rest
- Adjustable back recline, seat tilt, and raising leg rest
- Removable headrest, drop-down arms, and adjustable wings
- Three total-lock castors and one directional-lock castor
- Replaceable wipe-clean covers
This listing is quote-only. A meal tray, foot rest, lap belt, and bolster can be quoted with the chair when the room needs them. A sling is not part of the chair.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, check the castor locks, and show you the tilt levers, the drop-down arms, and the headrest before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This seating chair is oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Which room this chair belongs in
Use this chair as the day seat in a bedroom or lounge. Night rest belongs on a care bed. We already sell the Span America Encore for long-term care rooms and the Span America Advantage when the room wants that Span frame. See all hospital beds if you are still choosing the bed.
K Care allows a sling transfer onto the chair. Keep the person in the sling until the seat is flat or tilted back, then take the sling off. We sell the Handicare Universal sling for that seated transfer. The sling belongs to the lift, not to this chair. If the person can sit and take part in a stand, use the Handicare ReTurn and then sit them into the chair. Lock the three red castors before any transfer.
Measure the doorway and the turning space with us before you order. The Standard chair is 680 mm (26.8 in) wide and 1130 mm (44.5 in) long.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not an overseas parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace. K Care asks for a check every six months on the frame, covers, levers, gas struts, and castors.
K Care manufacturer warranty
K Care covers the day-chair frame and the foam for 36 months, and the air bags, gas struts, castors, and fabric for 12 months. Authorized service keeps that warranty in force. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What is the safe working load of the Air Comfort Chair?
180 kg (397 lb) on the Standard chair, AC59111. Stay inside that number for the person plus anything on the seat.
How wide is the seat?
470 mm (18.5 in) on the Standard chair. Overall width is 680 mm (26.8 in). Measure the doorway against that overall width.
What is the Airgonomic seating system?
Four TPU air cells sit in the backrest, the lumbar, the seat, and the leg rest. They ship at a factory volume so the person immerses into the foam and air instead of sitting on a single pad.
Does the chair tilt and recline?
Yes. Gas-strut levers set the back recline, the seat tilt, and the raising leg rest. Pull the lever, move the chair to the angle you want, and release to lock. Keep the wings up while you adjust.
Can I transfer someone in from the side?
Yes. The arms drop down and the wings open for a side transfer. Lock the three red castors first. A Universal sling can stay on until the seat is flat or tilted back.
Is this a wheelchair?
No. It rolls for short indoor moves. K Care does not rate it as a wheelchair for long travel, and it is not a seat for a car or van.
Can I use it in a shower?
No. It is for indoor dry rooms only. It is not a shower commode.
What is included with the chair?
You get the Standard Air Comfort Chair AC59111 with the four air cells, the removable headrest, drop-down arms, adjustable wings, and the four castors. A meal tray, foot rest, lap belt, and sling are quoted separately.
How do I clean the covers?
Wipe with a mild disinfectant wipe. The covers come off on hook-and-loop. Do not use bleach, a pressure washer, or an autoclave.
How fast can a purchased chair be set up in the GTA?
Westin's team delivers and sets up purchased chairs across Brampton and the GTA on a scheduled date. Call (905) 451-7743 for the next opening. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service, not automatically to a purchased setup.
What is the warranty on the Air Comfort Chair?
K Care covers the frame and foam for 36 months, and the air bags, gas struts, castors, and fabric for 12 months. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work. Details are on our service and repairs page.
