Description
The Drive bariatric folding walker is Drive Medical's 10220-1WW two-button aluminum walker with wheels. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is the wheeled member of the 10220 family. The no-wheel 10220-1 is a different SKU with different width and capacity numbers.
Drive's 10220-1WW sheet lists an 11 lb (5.0 kg) frame, a 227 kg (500 lb) weight capacity, a 27 inch (69 cm) overall width, and handles from 32 to 39 inches (81 to 99 cm). Steel legs and side braces back the aluminum frame. The frame is wider and deeper than a standard deluxe walker.
Who this walker is for
This walker is for an adult who needs a bariatric walker with a Drive 500 lb rating and a wider frame than the 24 inch deluxe 10210. Families usually call us when a 350 lb two-button walker is too narrow or too light in the rating, and a rollator still is not the gait they want.
If 350 lb and a 24 inch deluxe frame are enough, start with the Drive Deluxe Folding Walker 10210. If you want a seat on a 2-wheel walker at 300 lb, see the Drive Two Wheeled Walker with Seat. This 10220-1WW is not a rollator.
- Bariatric aluminum frame with steel legs and side braces
- 227 kg (500 lb) Drive rating on the 10220-1WW sheet
- 27 inch (69 cm) overall width, 32 to 39 inch handles
Fit and height
Drive prints 32 to 39 inches (81 to 99 cm) for 10220-1WW, the same adult deluxe height band as 10210. The extra room is in width and depth, not in a taller handle range.
To choose a walker height, stand in everyday shoes with arms relaxed. The grips should sit at the wrist crease. The 27 inch overall width needs a door that will pass it. Measure the tightest doorway before you order.
Wheels, brakes, and folding
10220-1WW is the wheeled 10220. Front wheels sit on the heavier frame. Drive's 10220-1WW sheet does not print a wheel diameter. There are no loop hand brakes. You slow the walker by putting weight through the rear legs. Each side has its own push button for doorways and for standing.
Steel legs and side braces are the bariatric reinforcement Drive names. Vinyl-contoured grips are the hand spec.
Weight and portability
Drive lists 11 lb (5.0 kg) and 27 inches (69 cm) wide. That is heavier and wider than deluxe 10210 at 7.5 lb and 24 inches, which is the point of a bariatric walker. Drive does not print a folded width. The two-button fold still closes the sides for a car trunk. Plan on a wider trunk space than a standard walker.
Drive Bariatric Aluminum Folding Walker specifications
These figures are for Drive 10220-1WW, the bariatric aluminum two-button walker with wheels. The specification tab holds the stored values. Drive's current 10220-1WW sheet lists a 227 kg (500 lb) capacity, handle height 32 to 39 inches, a 27 inch overall width, an 11 lb unit weight, and a 24 lb carton.
Do not mix these numbers with 10220-1, the no-wheel sibling. That SKU is 23 inches wide, 9 lb, and 600 lb on its own sheet. Do not mix them with deluxe 10210 at 350 lb and 24 inches. The 2026 Drive catalog prints a 600 lb badge on the 10220-1WW card; the SKU spec table on the 10220-1WW sheet is 500 lb, and that is the number we use here.
Warranty for the original purchaser is Drive's Limited Lifetime term: defects in materials and workmanship for the life of that purchaser. It does not cover misuse, negligence, or normal wear, and it does not extend to rubber accessories, casters, and grips.
Bariatric walker or standard deluxe walker
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW is the 27 inch, 500 lb, steel-braced choice. The Drive deluxe 10210 is 24 inches, 350 lb, and 7.5 lb. Pick 10220-1WW when the person needs the extra width and the 500 lb rating. Pick 10210 when a standard deluxe frame is the fit. A rollator is still a different gait; start with the Drive Nitro 3-Wheel Rollator only if a seat and hand brakes are the need.
Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.

Frequently asked questions
What Is the Difference Between a Walker and a Rollator?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW is a two-button walker with front wheels and a 500 lb rating. A rollator has three or four wheels, hand brakes, and usually a seat. Choose this walker when the person needs to put weight through a wide, braced frame.
How Do I Choose a Walker Height?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW adjusts from 32 to 39 inches (81 to 99 cm). Stand in everyday shoes, relax the arms, and set the grips at the wrist crease. Measure doorways against the 27 inch overall width.
What Is the Weight Capacity of This Walker?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW is rated 227 kg (500 lb) on Drive's current spec sheet. Stay at or under that rating, including what you carry. Do not use the 600 lb figure from the no-wheel 10220-1 sheet on this wheeled SKU.
Will This Walker Fold Into a Car Trunk?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW folds at the two side buttons. Drive lists 11 lb (5.0 kg) and 27 inches wide, and does not print a folded width. Plan on more trunk width than a standard walker. It is not approved as a seat inside a moving vehicle.
Is This a 2-Wheel Walker or a Rollator?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW is a wheeled two-button walker. It is not a rollator. It has no hand brakes and no seat.
How Is 10220-1WW Different from Deluxe 10210?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW is 27 inches wide, 11 lb, 500 lb, with steel legs and side braces. Deluxe 10210 is 24 inches wide, 7.5 lb, and 350 lb. They are separate Drive SKUs.
Does This Walker Have a Seat?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW does not have a seat. For a Drive 2-wheel walker with a padded seat, see the Drive 1239RD (300 lb).
What Is the Warranty on This Drive Walker?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW carries Drive's Limited Lifetime term for the original purchaser. Wear items such as casters, grips, and rubber accessories sit outside that term. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
Can Funding Help With a Walker in Ontario?
Some Ontario routes can help with mobility equipment. Eligibility depends on the person's situation and assessment. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
Adult or Junior: Which Walker Size Do I Need?
The Drive bariatric folding walker 10220-1WW is adult only at 32 to 39 inches. Drive does not list a junior 10220-1WW. For a shorter frame at 350 lb, use the Drive 10247 junior or deluxe junior 10211.
