Harmony Hi Low Side Rail Covers (Set of 2)

The Harmony Hi Low Side Rail Covers are a set of two soft upholstered covers for the half-length side rails of the Harmony Hi-Low bed, made from the same upholstery as the base so they match it perfectly, each with a pocket within arm's reach of the sleeper. Westin Healthcare ships them across Canada.

They are the finishing touch on the Hi-Low's residential look: the black metal rails dressed in the same grey fabric as the deck, with storage the bed otherwise does not have.

Who these covers are for

These covers are for someone with a Harmony Hi-Low and its half-length side rails, or ordering both now: the sleeper who wants the rails softer to the touch, the bed to read as one matching piece of furniture, and the remote, phone or tablet off the mattress and within reach.

They suit the Hi-Low's low-platform setting especially well: when the deck sits low, the rails are at arm's height in bed, and a padded rail is a friendlier thing to reach for than a metal edge.

What the covers do

The set covers both half-length rails. The upholstery is the same material Harmony uses on the Hi-Low adjustable base, so the covers match the base exactly and keep the bed's contemporary look intact.

Each cover carries two pockets. The small pocket fits the bed's remote control or a smartphone; the larger pocket is sized for a tablet, book, magazine or newspaper. Together they put the things a sleeper reaches for on the rail instead of the mattress edge or the floor.

The covers are soft to the touch and add a padded feel to the rail, which makes the rail gentler against a hip or an arm during restless sleep and repositioning.

Compatibility

The covers fit the half-length side rails made for the Harmony Hi-Low: the rails Westin sells as the Hi-Low side rail set, which fasten to the lifting platform with four height settings and mount at the head or middle section. They arrive as a set of two, one cover per rail.

They are not sized for the hospital-style rails on the Harmony 8199 home care bed: that bed uses its own rail set, and Harmony does not publish a cover for it. If the bed in the room is an 8199 rather than a Hi-Low, these are the wrong covers.

Care

The covers are upholstered in the same material as the base, and the current Hi-Low base is finished in a wipeable grey vinyl: spills wipe off the covers the same way they wipe off the deck. No printed care schedule exists beyond that; treat them as you treat the base upholstery.

Buying the covers with a bed or rails

On the Hi-Low bed page, the side rails and these covers appear in the same CHOOSE SIDE RAILS pick, so a bed order carries one of the two. Delivery

The covers ship as a small parcel. Inside the GTA they normally travel with any Hi-Low bed or rail order on our own delivery run; on their own they go by ground courier, and the Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods applies. Details are on the shipping policy page.

Do the covers include the rails?

No. This page sells the covers only, as a set of two. The rails are a separate product: the half-length side rail set for the Hi-Low, available with the bed on its page.

Will they fit the rails I already have?

If they are the half-length side rails made for the Harmony Hi-Low, yes: the covers are cut for that rail set in both of its mounting positions. They do not fit the Harmony 8199's hospital-style rails.

Are they sold as a pair?

Yes. One order covers both rails of the bed.
