Description
The Zippie Xpress is Sunrise Medical's early intervention stroller for toddlers up to 55 lbs. Westin Healthcare configures it to prescription for families in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. This is not an off-the-shelf shopping stroller. The child's ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses first. Then Westin builds the seat, the tilt, and the accessories on Sunrise's order form.
Sunrise still titles the Canada page Kid Kart Xpress. It is the same product. The Xpress is listed for children 0 to 3 years weighing up to 55 lbs (25 kg). The stroller weighs 34 lbs (15.4 kg). Tilt is 65 degrees: 20 degrees forward and 45 degrees rearward. The seat lifts off and the base folds flat.
Who this stroller is for
This stroller is for an infant or toddler who still fits Sunrise's 6 to 12.5 inch seat and 55 lb limit, and whose therapist wants a removable seat that can face the caregiver. Families usually call us when a retail stroller cannot hold the child's position, or when they need a feeder or booster base for meals and therapy.
If the child is approaching 55 lbs or needs Voyage Advanced Seating, start with the Zippie Voyage (75 lb). When the child outgrows a stroller and still needs tilt, see the Zippie IRIS or the Sphynx.
- Early intervention stroller after the child's OT or PT assessment
- Up to 55 lbs (25 kg), ages Sunrise lists as 0 to 3 years
- 65 degree tilt, removable seat, transit option as Sunrise states it
Seat, tilt, and fold
The Xpress seat faces forward or rearward and then detaches so the base can fold flat. Sunrise lists 20 degrees of forward tilt and 45 degrees of rearward tilt (65 degrees in total). Rearward tilt is the feeding and line-of-sight setting. Forward tilt is the hands-to-mouth and reach setting, as Sunrise describes it.
The cushion, back, and positioning pieces adjust as the child grows. Head, hip, thigh, and trunk supports are order-form options. Every Xpress comes with a canopy that has a mesh window on a magnet so a caregiver can see a forward-facing child. Optional vent trays, IV poles, oxygen holders, and trays are on the same form. A fixed-height feeder base and a height-adjustable booster base are named for meals and therapy.
Occupied transit is listed as yes. Use only the transit kit Sunrise approves.
Zippie Xpress specifications
These figures are for the Zippie Xpress (Kid Kart Xpress) Westin configures from Sunrise's current Canada page, model EIXP. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Product width 24 inches. Seat width 6 to 12.5 inches. Seat depth 5.5 to 11 inches. Back height 13 to 22 inches. Tilt 65 degrees (20 anterior, 45 posterior). Capacity 55 lbs (25 kg). Product weight 34 lbs (15.4 kg). Frame aluminum. Transit yes.
Warranty in the Zippie owner-manual family is lifetime on the frame for the original purchaser, and one year on Sunrise-made parts, unless the book that ships with the Xpress prints a tighter term. Wear items sit outside that term. Sunrise's Canada pages note that printed coverage can vary by province.
How this stroller is configured
Seat size, tilt accessories, canopy, feeder or booster base, medical trays, and transit are set on the Sunrise Kid Kart Xpress order form with the child's therapist. There is no single in-stock size. Westin submits the form after the assessment.
Xpress or Voyage
The Xpress is Zippie's 55 lb early intervention stroller with a seat that lifts off a folding base. The Voyage is the 75 lb sibling with Moderate or Advanced seating and a 35 degree tilt. Kids wheelchairs after the stroller years are the X'CAPE, the Zone, the GS, and the tilt bases: IRIS, TS, Sphynx.
The adult Quickie IRIS is not an early intervention stroller.
Funding help for a wheelchair in Ontario
This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this stroller across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area after the assessment, the configuration, and the ADP submission are in place. We bring it in, check the fold and the tilt, and show you how the seat comes off the base before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a stroller first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased devices are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the Xpress is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the stroller needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or daycare.
Sunrise Medical manufacturer warranty
Zippie owner manuals warrant the frame for the life of the original purchaser, and Sunrise-made parts for one year, unless the Kid Kart book that ships with the Xpress prints a tighter term. Wear items sit outside that term. Sunrise's Canada pages note that printed coverage can vary by province. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
Does ADP Cover Pediatric Strollers In Ontario?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program lists pediatric strollers among covered mobility aids, alongside pediatric wheelchairs. ADP can fund 75 percent of the approved price. The child's ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess first and confirm the device class. We cannot promise that a given child will be approved.
Is The Xpress The Same As The Kid Kart Xpress?
Yes. Sunrise Canada's page still uses the Kid Kart Xpress name. Westin lists it as the Zippie Xpress. It is the same early intervention stroller, model EIXP.
What Is The Zippie Xpress Weight Limit?
The Zippie Xpress is rated at 55 lbs (25 kg) for children Sunrise lists as 0 to 3 years old. The stroller weighs 34 lbs (15.4 kg). Stay at or under 55 lbs.
Xpress Or Voyage?
The Zippie Xpress is the 55 lb toddler stroller with a 65 degree tilt and a seat that lifts off. The Zippie Voyage is the 75 lb stroller with Moderate or Advanced seating and a 35 degree tilt. The therapist matches the child to the limit.
Does The Xpress Fold?
The Zippie Xpress seat detaches and folds. The base then folds flat. Sunrise publishes how-to videos for fold, unfold, tilt, recline, and seat reverse.
Is The Xpress Transit Approved?
Sunrise lists transit as yes on the Zippie Xpress. Occupied transit needs the Sunrise transit kit. Follow the vehicle and kit instructions. A stroller without the kit is not a car seat.
What Seat Width Do I Need?
The Zippie Xpress seat width runs 6 to 12.5 inches and depth runs 5.5 to 11 inches. The child's therapist measures the child. We will not guess a width from a photo.
What Tilt Does The Xpress Have?
The Zippie Xpress tilts 20 degrees forward and 45 degrees rearward, 65 degrees in total. That is a wider tilt range than the Voyage's 35 degrees, on a lower weight limit.
What Is The Warranty?
Zippie owner manuals warrant the frame for the life of the original purchaser and Sunrise-made parts for one year, unless the Kid Kart book prints a tighter term. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
What Happens If ADP Declines?
Ontario sends a letter with the reason and the appeal route. Do not take delivery of a custom stroller on the assumption that a decline will reverse. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will walk through the letter with you and the child's therapist.
