Description
The Zippie Voyage is Sunrise Medical's early intervention stroller for growing babies. Westin Healthcare configures it to prescription for families in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. This is not an off-the-shelf shopping stroller. The child's ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses first. Then Westin builds the seating style, the tilt, and the accessories on Sunrise's order form.
Sunrise lists a 75 lb (34 kg) rating and a 28 lb (12.7 kg) base with the slide-and-lock. Product width is 24 inches. Tilt is 35 degrees in total: about 5 degrees anterior and 30 degrees posterior. The seat reverses so the child faces the caregiver or faces out. Occupied transit is listed as yes.
Who this stroller is for
This stroller is for an infant or young child who still fits Sunrise's Voyage seating, who needs more positioning than a retail stroller, and whose therapist wants a fold-up early intervention base. Families usually call us when a Kid Kart Xpress 55 lb limit is too small or the child needs Voyage Advanced Seating.
If the child is a toddler at or under 55 lbs (25 kg) and the therapist wants 20 degrees anterior / 45 degrees posterior tilt, start with the Zippie Xpress. When the child outgrows a stroller and still needs tilt, see the Zippie IRIS or the Sphynx.
- Early intervention stroller after the child's OT or PT assessment
- 75 lb (34 kg) rating, reversible seat, 35 degree tilt
- Moderate or Advanced seating, transit option as Sunrise states it
Seating, tilt, and fold
Voyage Moderate Seating (VMS) is for mild to moderate positioning, with soft components and polka-dot upholstery. Seat width 9.5 to 12 inches, depth 8 to 13 inches, back 16 to 24 inches including the head support. Voyage Advanced Seating (VAS) is for moderate to advanced need, with black stretch upholstery. Seat width 6 to 13 inches, depth 5 to 13 inches. A short VAS back cannot be swapped for a tall one without a new chair.
Both seat styles come with a canopy. The handle angle adjusts. Front wheels swivel with suspension and a lock-out for longer paths. Wheels are airless. The basket holds up to 15 lbs. Foot locks are foot-operated. The fold uses levers Sunrise places for easier reach.
Occupied transit is listed as yes. Sunrise's US page splits the crash standard: Moderate Seating ISO 7176-19, Advanced Seating ANSI/RESNA WC19. Use only the transit kit Sunrise approves for the seating on the order.
Zippie Voyage specifications
These figures are for the Zippie Voyage Westin configures from Sunrise's current Canada page, model EIZ16. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Product width 24 inches. Capacity 75 lbs (34 kg). Base with slide and lock 28 lbs (12.7 kg). Tilt 35 degrees (5 to -30). VAS seat 6 to 13 inches wide, 5 to 13 inches deep. VMS seat 9.5 to 12 inches wide, 8 to 13 inches deep. VAS back short 7 to 13 inches, tall 10 to 17 inches. VMS back 16 to 24 inches including head support. VAS recline 85 to 140 degrees. VMS recline 90 to 180 degrees. Frame aluminum. Transit yes.
The Voyage owner manual defines the frame lifetime as 5 years. That is tighter than the lifetime frame line on the Zippie wheelchair manuals. Wear items sit outside the term. Sunrise's Canada pages note that printed coverage can vary by province.
How this stroller is configured
VMS or VAS, seat size, tilt accessories, canopy colour, booster or JCM base, and transit are set on the Sunrise order form with the child's therapist. There is no single in-stock size. Westin submits the form after the assessment.
Voyage or Xpress
The Voyage is Zippie's 75 lb early intervention stroller with two seating families and a 35 degree tilt. The Xpress (still titled Kid Kart Xpress on Sunrise Canada) is the 55 lb toddler stroller with 65 degrees of tilt and a seat that lifts off a folding base. When the child needs a kids wheelchair rather than a stroller, use the X'CAPE, the Zone, the GS, or a tilt base: IRIS, TS, Sphynx.
The adult Quickie IRIS is not an early intervention stroller.
Funding help for a wheelchair in Ontario
This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this stroller across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area after the assessment, the configuration, and the ADP submission are in place. We bring it in, check the fold and the tilt, and show you the seat reverse and the wheel locks before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a stroller first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased devices are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the Voyage is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the stroller needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or daycare.
Sunrise Medical manufacturer warranty
The Zippie Voyage owner manual warrants the frame for the lifetime of the product and defines that lifetime as 5 years. Wear items sit outside that term. Sunrise's Canada pages note that printed coverage can vary by province. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
Does ADP Cover Pediatric Strollers In Ontario?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program lists pediatric strollers among covered mobility aids, alongside pediatric wheelchairs. ADP can fund 75 percent of the approved price. The child's ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess first and confirm the device class. We cannot promise that a given child will be approved.
What Is The Zippie Voyage Weight Limit?
The Zippie Voyage is rated at 75 lbs (34 kg). Sunrise lists the base with slide and lock at 28 lbs (12.7 kg). Stay at or under 75 lbs including what the child carries.
Voyage Or Xpress?
The Zippie Voyage is the 75 lb early intervention stroller with Moderate or Advanced seating. The Zippie Xpress is the 55 lb Kid Kart toddler stroller with a 65 degree tilt and a seat that lifts off the base. The therapist matches the child to the limit and the seating.
Does The Voyage Fold?
The Zippie Voyage is a quick-folding stroller frame. Sunrise places the fold levers for easier reach. The seat is reversible and the canopy stays on both Moderate and Advanced seating.
Is The Voyage Transit Approved?
Sunrise lists transit as yes on the Zippie Voyage and says it has been crash tested for occupied transit. Use only the kit that matches the seating on the order, and follow the vehicle instructions. A Voyage without the kit is not a car seat.
Can The Short Back Become A Tall Back?
No. Sunrise's Voyage FAQ says a short back shell cannot be replaced with a tall one. That change needs a new chair. Pick short or tall VAS with the therapist on the first order.
What Seat Width Do I Need?
Voyage Advanced Seating runs 6 to 13 inches wide. Moderate Seating runs 9.5 to 12 inches. The child's therapist measures the child, not a clothing size.
Does The Voyage Come With A Canopy?
Yes. Sunrise says both Advanced and Moderate seating come standard with a canopy. Advanced can pick a crossover colour. Moderate uses polka dots plus the chosen colour.
What Is The Warranty?
The Zippie Voyage owner manual warrants the frame for the lifetime of the product and defines that lifetime as 5 years. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
What Happens If ADP Declines?
Ontario sends a letter with the reason and the appeal route. Do not take delivery of a custom stroller on the assumption that a decline will reverse. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will walk through the letter with you and the child's therapist.
