The Spex SuperHigh Contour Cushion is Sunrise Medical's deepest Spex modular wheelchair cushion on the current Canadian index, for Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Sunrise writes it for extra pelvic and hip immersion with stepped thigh contouring.

This is a quote-only configured cushion. The rear profile is stepped down so a hip belt or back can sit closer. It is not High Contour and it is not Flex.

Contour, base, and covers

The Spex SuperHigh Contour Cushion uses the Spex strategic positioning base. Sunrise prints a 3D breathable mesh fabric to help with moisture and temperature. Spacer outer and Spextex incontinence covers are the same family as the other Spex cushions. Product weight is not on the CA card, so this page does not invent one.

Stay with the Spex SuperHigh Contour Cushion if the therapist wants the deepest CA Spex contour. The Spex High Contour Cushion is the extra-immersion step below this. The Spex Standard Contour Cushion is the milder start. The Spex Flex Cushion is the limited-hip-flexion configuration.

This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Westin's own team delivers this wheelchair cushion across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, check it against the wheelchair, and show you the cover and any hardware before we leave.

The Spex cushion owner's manual prints 24 months from purchase on the foam unit, strategic positioning base, outer cover, and incontinence cover for the original purchaser. How Do I Choose Between Gel, Foam, And Air Cushions?
