Description
The QuickMove is a non-powered sit-to-stand aid. This listing is quote-only. Call (905) 451-7743 and Westin Healthcare will quote it, then deliver and set it up for homes and care settings in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Direct Healthcare Group and Savaria list a safe working load of 375 lb (170 kg).
This is not a powered Hoyer. DHG and Savaria use the same sentence: QuickMove was developed for users with impaired balance and strength in their legs, but the user must have some strength in the arms and must be able to weightbear to actively participate in the transfer. Savaria adds that users rise using their own strength. If the person cannot take part, see a full-body floor lift such as the Hoyer Advance Electric.
Who it is for
The QuickMove is for a person who can still pull up, bear weight, and take part. Savaria names early gait training, activity-tolerance testing, bedside exercise, and functional assessment, and says it is ideal for acute or long-term care, including post-operative recovery when balance is temporarily impaired. There is no manufacturer number for grip strength beyond "some strength in the arms."
It is the wrong tool when the person cannot weight-bear or has no useful arm strength. That is a boom lift. If you want a platform with a crossbar instead of seat pads, see the Mover Plus (also quote-only).
- Bed-to-chair, chair-to-chair, and toilet transfers when the person can take part
- Short-term balance loss after surgery, as Savaria describes that use
- Users within the official 375 lb (170 kg) safe working load
How it lifts
There is no actuator. The person holds a horizontal or vertical grip and rises using their own strength. Adjustable knee braces support the lower legs. Once standing, fold-down buttock cushions can support a seated or standing transfer. The base width adjusts so the aid can get close to the chair or bed. An anti-slip foot plate is standard.
Savaria lists a powder-coated steel frame. DHG accessories include BackSupport. Ported accessory notes also name SupportStraps used with EasyBelt or FlexiBelt. Those are not a boom sling.
QuickMove specifications
These figures are from DHG's QuickMove page and Savaria's matching table, art. no. 400801334. The specification tab holds the stored values. Safe working load is 375 lb (170 kg). Length is 39.2 in (980 mm). Width is 24.2 in (605 mm). Height is 44.8 in (1120 mm). Base width is 20.4-36.0 in (510-900 mm). Castors are 3.0 in (75 mm). Weight is 77 lb (35 kg). Material is powder-coated steel.
The stored 330 lb figure on this listing is wrong. The manufacturer SWL is 375 lb (170 kg).
Slings and spreader bar
The QuickMove has no 4-point or 6-point spreader bar. Support is the grips, knee braces, foot plate, and fold-down seat pads. DHG lists BackSupport as an accessory. It is not a sit-to-stand boom sling. If the assessment later needs a vest on a powered lift, see our sit-to-stand slings and a lift such as the MiniLift.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts or other lifting devices. Funding routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship funding programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.

Can I rent a patient lift while we quote?
Westin Healthcare rents patient lifts. See current packages and rates on the rentals hub. Ask us whether a sit-to-stand aid or an electric floor lift is available while the QuickMove quote is prepared. The rentals hub and rental program FAQs have the program rules.
Service and warranty
When something on the aid needs work, you call the shop that set it up. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Manufacturer warranty
DHG and Savaria do not print a year count on the QuickMove product pages we used. Ask us for the current warranty that ships with art. 400801334 when we quote. We handle the claim with you.
Frequently asked questions
Why is this quote-only?
Westin quotes the QuickMove to order. Call (905) 451-7743. We will confirm that a non-powered sit-to-stand aid is the right class, then price the unit we can get.
Who does the manufacturer say can use it?
DHG and Savaria say the user must have some strength in the arms and must be able to weightbear and participate. Savaria says users rise using their own strength.
What is the safe working load?
DHG and Savaria list 375 lb (170 kg). The 330 lb figure stored on this listing is not the manufacturer SWL.
Is there a sling?
There is no boom sling. Support is the grips, knee braces, foot plate, and fold-down seat pads. BackSupport is an optional accessory.
Is it powered?
No. The person stands. The caregiver steers and positions the base.
How is this different from the ReTurn?
The ReTurn is a rising ladder on a patented base plate, used with a ReTurnBelt. QuickMove uses fold-down seat pads and an adjustable base. See the Handicare ReTurn if you want the ladder style.
Can I rent something while I wait on a quote?
Westin Healthcare rents patient lifts. See current packages and rates on the rentals hub. Ask us what is on the fleet for your dates.
How is it delivered after I accept a quote?
Westin's team delivers across Brampton and the GTA on a scheduled date. Call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service, not automatically to a purchased aid.
