Description

Quantum iLevel HD is the power adjustable seat height option for the Q6 Edge HD power base. It is the heavy-duty build of the iLevel seat lift: on the Edge HD it raises the seat up to 10 inches so a rider within the bariatric rating can still reach counters, shelves and eye-level conversation. Westin Healthcare configures it with the chair to an ADP-registered therapist's prescription and delivers across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.

This page is for the iLevel HD seat lift option, priced by quote because it is ordered as part of the Edge HD build on the same prescription as the base, the seating and the electronics.

What iLevel HD does

The lift raises and lowers the seat from the drive control. Quantum rates iLevel on the Q6 Edge HD at up to 10 inches of elevation while driving at walking speed, up to 3.5 mph, and the Edge HD runs at up to 4.7 mph with the seat down. Patented Extra Stability Technology holds the footprint steady with the seat up, and LED fender lights are standard when iLevel is on the order.

One figure matters more here than on the standard iLevel page: fitting iLevel to the Edge HD brings the base's weight capacity from 450 lbs to 400 lbs. That is Quantum's published derating for the lift hardware, and it is the number the therapist works with when matching the rider to the build.

  • Up to 10 inches of lift on a 400 lb rated configuration
  • Drive while elevated, up to 3.5 mph walking speed
  • LED fender lights, standard with iLevel
  • The full Edge HD option set, including TRU-Balance 3 HD power seating, on the same order form

Which chair it fits

iLevel HD is the Q6 Edge HD configuration of the seat lift. The Edge HD is the mid-wheel 450 lb base with 4-pole motors, Mid-Wheel 6 drive design and ATX suspension, listed here as the Quantum Q6 Edge HD. The 12 inch, 300 lb version of the same technology on the Edge 3, Edge 3 Stretto and Q6 Edge 2.0 family is listed separately as the Quantum iLevel.

The Edge HD order form also carries TRU-Balance 3 HD tilt, recline and tilt-and-recline seating at 450 lbs, and Q-Logic 3 drive controls, so the prescription can combine elevation with power positioning where the assessment calls for both.

Funding through ADP

iLevel HD follows the Q6 Edge HD through the Assistive Devices Program process. The ADP-registered therapist's assessment decides the base, the seating and the seat elevation together, and ADP can fund 75 percent of the approved price for eligible clients. We prepare the quote to the prescription, so the funding conversation and the option list happen in one pass.

Related products

The host chair is the Quantum Q6 Edge HD. The standard 12 inch lift on the 300 lb bases is the Quantum iLevel. Power seating for the same forms includes TRU-Balance 4, and for heavier riders on the Quantum 1450 base there is the TRU-Balance bariatric power tilt at 600 lbs. Back supports such as the Tarta Original family complete the seating. Every Quantum power chair we list is on the standard power wheelchair shelf.

Delivery in Brampton and the GTA

The lift ships inside the chair, so delivery and setup happen together. Our technicians deliver the finished Edge HD across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area, set the elevation and every other seat function to the prescription, and walk the rider through the lift limits and the charger before they leave. Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between iLevel and iLevel HD?

The host base and the rating. Standard iLevel is the 12 inch, 300 lb configuration on Edge 3 Stretto, Edge 3, Q6 Edge 2.0, Q6 Edge Z and Q6 Edge 2.0 X. iLevel HD is the 10 inch configuration on the Q6 Edge HD, where the base runs a 450 lb rating that becomes 400 lbs with the lift installed.

How high does iLevel HD go?

Up to 10 inches of seat elevation on the Edge HD, per Quantum's published feature sheet and brochure.

Why does the capacity drop to 400 lbs?

That is Quantum's published derating for the Edge HD with the iLevel power adjustable seat height installed. The therapist sizes the rider, the seating and the elevation against the 400 lb figure, not the base's 450 lb headline.

Can it drive with the seat up?

Yes. Quantum rates the Edge HD at up to 3.5 mph with iLevel elevated, walking speed beside a caregiver, with Extra Stability Technology holding the chair steady.

Can I add iLevel HD to an Edge HD we already run?

Quantum lists retrofitting for the standard iLevel on Edge 3 and Q6 Edge 2.0 and publishes no retrofit statement for the Edge HD lift. Send us the chair's serial number and we will ask Quantum Canada directly before anyone plans the work.

Does the page price include the chair?

No, and it does not pretend to. iLevel HD is quoted as part of the Edge HD build, because the base, seating, electronics and lift all land on one order form. The quote we prepare covers the whole prescription.
