Description
The Golden Cloud PR-510 lift chair is Golden Technologies' MaxiComfort Cloud without Twilight, a 2-zone power lift recliner with the Cloud bucket seat and biscuit back. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Three sizes cover the Cloud: PR510-SME Small/Medium, PR510-MLA Medium/Large, and PR510-MXW Medium/Wide.
Golden's Canada sheet rates SME and MLA at 400 lb (181 kg). The Canada Cloud card adds PR-510-MXW at 600 lb (272 kg). MaxiComfort moves the back and footrest on their own. The AutoDrive hand control stores Zero Gravity, TV Watching, Sitting, and Sleeping. This is not a Twilight chair and it is not a 3-position value chair.
Who this lift chair is for
This lift chair is for someone who wants Golden's Cloud bucket and MaxiComfort infinite positioning without the fifth Twilight tilt zone. Families usually call us when a two-button 3-position chair no longer gives enough recline, or when they want the Cloud seat in SME, MLA, or the 600 lb wide.
It is not a Twilight Cloud. That is the Golden PR515 Cloud with Twilight. It is not the open-arm Cloud Plus. That is the Golden Cloud Plus PR-511. If you want Pride's current infinite line, start with the Pride VivaLift Tranquil.
- 2-zone MaxiComfort Cloud, made in the USA
- 400 lb (181 kg) on SME and MLA; 600 lb (272 kg) on MXW
- Memory-foam arms Golden prints as built in Barrie, Ontario
MaxiComfort positioning
MaxiComfort is Golden's infinite recline. The seat moves as you go back, so the body stays supported from sit through TV, sleep, and a zero-gravity-style rest. The two comfort zones are lower body and upper body. Each zone moves on its own from the AutoDrive hand control. Golden's Cloud card names four presets: Zero Gravity, TV Watching, Sitting, and Sleeping.
Twilight is not on this chair. Twilight is the fifth zone on the PR515. Do not mix those numbers onto the PR-510.
Size and wall space
Golden's Canada Cloud card prints SME for people 5'1" to 5'6" (155 to 168 cm) and MLA for people 5'7" to 6'4" (170 to 193 cm). Golden's Canada sizing chart prints Small/Medium as 5'2" to 5'6" and Medium/Large as 5'7" to 6'2". We confirm the fit in the showroom against the seat numbers.
PR510-SME: seat 18.5 inches (47 cm) between the arms and 19.5 inches (50 cm) deep, floor to seat 19 inches (48 cm), back 27 inches (69 cm), arm 7.5 inches (19 cm), overall 33.5 inches (85 cm) wide and 41 inches (104 cm) tall, 23 inches (58 cm) from the wall when reclined, 43 inches (109 cm) from the back of the seat to the end of the open footrest.
PR510-MLA: seat 20 inches (51 cm) between the arms and 21.5 inches (55 cm) deep, floor to seat 20 inches (51 cm), back 29 inches (74 cm), arm 7 inches (18 cm), overall 38 inches (97 cm) wide and 45 inches (114 cm) tall, 24 inches (61 cm) from the wall, 44 inches (112 cm) of reclined extension.
PR510-MXW: Golden's Canada card rates this Wide at 600 lb (272 kg). Golden's current US Cloud sheet prints a 29 inch (74 cm) seat, 22 inch (56 cm) depth, 21 inch (53 cm) floor-to-seat, 45 inch (114 cm) overall width, 48 inch (122 cm) height, and 21 inches (53 cm) from the wall. The current Canada Cloud sheet does not reprint that MXW column. We confirm the invoiced wide build when you order.
Golden PR-510 specifications
These figures are for Golden PR510-SME and PR510-MLA as printed on Golden's current Canada Cloud sell sheet. MXW inches come from Golden's current US Cloud sheet because the Canada sheet omits that column. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Positioning MaxiComfort, 2 comfort zones, Twilight no, chaise yes, pocketed coil no. Biscuit back. Headrest cover standard. Heat and massage and full-body HeatWave are Golden options on SME and MLA. Articulating headrest and power lumbar are not on this Cloud. Straight lift yes. Extra pocket standard. AutoDrive in the inside pocket. USB is not on the Canada SME/MLA sheet. Battery backup is standard. SmartTek is standard. Place of origin USA.
Do not mix these numbers with the Twilight PR515 (23.5 inch seat, 375 lb) or with Cloud Plus PR511 (4-zone, 375 lb, open arms).
Colour and size options
Ask us for Small/Medium, Medium/Large, or Medium/Wide and for the Tucker SofTouch colour you want. Golden's standard Canada five are Calypso, Camel, Hazelnut, Shiraz, and Sterling, with Stain Defense. Golden charges an upcharge for crossover fabrics. HeatWave and deluxe heat and massage are options, not colours. Call (905) 451-7743 if you want an upgrade.
3-position, MaxiComfort, or 4-zone
Golden's Canada lineup is a comfort-zone ladder, not a Pride VivaLift clone. A 1-zone chair is a 3-position lift chair: the back and footrest travel together on a two-button hand control. Our 1-zone Goldens are the Comforter PR-531, the Comforter Wide, the Elara, the Aurora, and the Austin.
A 2-zone chair adds MaxiComfort so the back and footrest travel on their own. That is the Cloud PR-510, the MaxiComforter PR-535, and the Relaxer.
A 4-zone chair keeps MaxiComfort and adds a powered headrest and powered lumbar: the Cloud Plus, the EZ Sleeper Slim, the Dione, and the Rhea. Twilight is a fifth zone on chairs we already sell, starting with the Golden PR515 Cloud with Twilight. None of the chairs on this Golden Classic set is a Twilight chair.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased lift chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Lift chairs are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Golden manufacturer warranty
Golden warrants the chair frame, lift frame, and recline mechanism to the original purchaser for life against breakage from defective materials or workmanship. Labour on those parts is subsidized for three years. Electrical parts (hand control, motor, transformer, control box, heating pad, massage unit) are covered for three years, then prorated in years four through seven. Electrical labour is subsidized for one year. The warranty is residential only. It does not cover misuse, non-residential use, or exceeding the printed weight capacity. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Size Lift Chair Do I Need?
The Golden Cloud PR-510 lift chair is sold in three sizes. Small/Medium (PR510-SME) is Golden's 5'1" to 5'6" Cloud on the Canada card: 18.5 inch (47 cm) seat, 19 inch (48 cm) seat-to-floor, 23 inches (58 cm) from the wall. Medium/Large (PR510-MLA) is the 5'7" to 6'4" Cloud: 20 inch (51 cm) seat, 20 inch (51 cm) seat-to-floor, 24 inches (61 cm) from the wall. Medium/Wide (PR510-MXW) is the 600 lb (272 kg) wide. We confirm the fit in the showroom.
How Far From the Wall Does a Lift Chair Need to Be?
The Golden Cloud PR-510 lift chair needs 23 inches (58 cm) from the wall on SME and 24 inches (61 cm) on MLA when it is fully reclined. The US Cloud sheet prints 21 inches (53 cm) for MXW. This is not a wall-hugger.
What Is the Difference Between a 3 Position and an Infinite Position Lift Chair?
A 3-position lift chair moves the back and footrest together through sit, TV, and recline. An infinite-position Golden MaxiComfort chair moves them on their own, so the person can sit up with the legs out or lie flatter. Golden's 4-zone chairs add a powered headrest and lumbar on top of that MaxiComfort motion. Twilight, sold on other Golden pages, adds a fifth tilt zone.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Golden Cloud PR-510?
The Golden Cloud PR-510 lift chair is rated 400 lb (181 kg) on SME and MLA on Golden's Canada sheet. The Canada Cloud card rates PR-510-MXW at 600 lb (272 kg). Stay at or under the rating for the size you order.
What Fabrics Can I Choose?
The Golden Cloud PR-510 lift chair uses Golden Tucker SofTouch fabrics with Stain Defense. The Canada standard five are Calypso, Camel, Hazelnut, Shiraz, and Sterling. Crossover fabrics, including Brisa, carry a Golden upcharge. Ask us which colour we can invoice today.
Does the PR-510 Have a Battery Backup?
The Golden Cloud PR-510 lift chair includes a battery backup on Golden's Canada sheet. Golden's US sheet prints 9 volt on SME and MLA and lithium-ion on MXW. SmartTek is standard so a technician can read the chair if it needs service.
Does the Cloud Have Heat and Massage?
The Golden Cloud PR-510 lift chair offers deluxe heat and massage and full-body HeatWave as Golden options on SME and MLA. They are not standard. The US wide sheet does not list HeatWave on MXW. Ask us before you order.
What Is the PR-510-MXW?
The Golden Cloud PR-510-MXW is the Medium/Wide Cloud Golden's Canada card rates at 600 lb (272 kg) with a 29 inch (74 cm) seat on the US sheet. It is still 2-zone MaxiComfort. It is not the Comforter Wide, which is a 3-position chair.
Can Funding Help With a Lift Chair in Ontario?
Funding support for a lift chair in Ontario depends on the person's situation and assessment. Westin Healthcare works with funding programs every week. Start on our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 before you buy.
What Is the Warranty on the Golden Cloud PR-510?
The Golden Cloud PR-510 lift chair carries Golden's lifetime coverage on the chair frame, lift frame, and recline mechanism for the original purchaser, three years on electrical parts, then a prorated schedule through year seven. Mechanical labour is subsidized for three years. Electrical labour is subsidized for one year. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
