Description
The Golden Rhea lift chair is Golden Technologies' DeLuna 4-zone recliner, model PL442 on the Canada card and PR442 on the Canada sell sheet, with HeatWave standard. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Two sizes cover the Rhea: PR442-MED Medium and PR442-LAR Large.
Golden's Canada sell sheet rates both sizes 400 lb (181 kg). The Canada product card still prints 375 lb. The current sell sheet prints 400 lb, and that is the rating we use. Four comfort zones move the footrest, backrest, headrest, and lumbar on their own. Twilight is not on this Rhea. Twilight Rhea is a different Golden model (PR447).
Who this lift chair is for
This lift chair is for someone who wants 4-zone MaxiComfort with HeatWave already on the chair, plus split-arm storage, a wireless charger, and a tray, without Twilight tilt. Families usually call us when Cloud Plus would need Nirvana added, and they want the heat included.
It is not Twilight Rhea. It is not the Dione, which has no HeatWave on the current sheet. That is the Golden Dione PL-446. If you want the Cloud bucket with optional Nirvana, see the Golden Cloud Plus.
- 4-zone MaxiComfort DeLuna with HeatWave standard
- 400 lb (181 kg) on the Canada sell sheet
- Split arms with tray, light, USB, cup holder, and wireless charger
4-zone MaxiComfort and HeatWave
Rhea keeps MaxiComfort infinite recline and adds PowerPillow and power lumbar. Dual motors move the backrest and seat on their own. HeatWave Far Infrared heat is standard from shoulders to feet. Vibrating massage is not on the Canada Rhea sheet. Nirvana is not an option on this sheet.
The right arm holds the AutoDrive dock, a wireless charger, and storage. The left arm holds a cup holder, USB, the Power Port with LED reading light, and a second well for the HeatWave hand control. The butler tray table is on the feature list. Twilight tilt is not on PL442 / PR442.
Size and wall space
Golden's Canada sizing chart prints Medium as 5'4" to 5'10" (163 to 178 cm) and Large as 5'11" to 6'2" (180 to 188 cm). Large needs more wall than most chairs in this family. We confirm the fit in the showroom.
PR442-MED: seat 22 by 21 inches (56 by 53 cm), floor 20 inches (51 cm), back 29 inches (74 cm), arm 7 inches (18 cm), overall 37 by 45 inches (94 by 114 cm), wall 25 inches (64 cm), extension 43 inches (109 cm).
PR442-LAR: seat 24 by 22 inches (61 by 56 cm), floor 21 inches (53 cm), back 33 inches (84 cm), arm 8 inches (20 cm), overall 39 by 50 inches (99 by 127 cm), wall 30 inches (76 cm), extension 44 inches (112 cm).

3-position, MaxiComfort, or 4-zone
Golden's Canada lineup is a comfort-zone ladder, not a Pride VivaLift clone. A 1-zone chair is a 3-position lift chair: the back and footrest travel together on a two-button hand control. Our 1-zone Goldens are the Comforter PR-531, the Comforter Wide, the Elara, the Aurora, and the Austin.
A 2-zone chair adds MaxiComfort so the back and footrest travel on their own. That is the Cloud PR-510, the MaxiComforter PR-535, and the Relaxer.
A 4-zone chair keeps MaxiComfort and adds a powered headrest and powered lumbar: the Cloud Plus, the EZ Sleeper Slim, the Dione, and the Rhea. Twilight is a fifth zone on chairs we already sell, starting with the Golden PR515 Cloud with Twilight. None of the chairs on this Golden Classic set is a Twilight chair.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased lift chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Lift chairs are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Golden manufacturer warranty
Golden warrants the chair frame, lift frame, and recline mechanism to the original purchaser for life against breakage from defective materials or workmanship. Labour on those parts is subsidized for three years. Electrical parts (hand control, motor, transformer, control box, heating pad, massage unit) are covered for three years, then prorated in years four through seven. Electrical labour is subsidized for one year. The warranty is residential only. It does not cover misuse, non-residential use, or exceeding the printed weight capacity. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Size Lift Chair Do I Need?
The Golden Rhea lift chair is sold in Medium and Large. Medium (PR442-MED) has a 22 inch (56 cm) seat and 25 inches (64 cm) from the wall. Large (PR442-LAR) has a 24 inch (61 cm) seat and 30 inches (76 cm) from the wall. Both are rated 400 lb (181 kg) on the Canada sheet. We confirm the fit in the showroom.
How Far From the Wall Does a Lift Chair Need to Be?
The Golden Rhea lift chair needs 25 inches (64 cm) from the wall in Medium and 30 inches (76 cm) in Large when it is fully reclined. Large needs more room than the Cloud or the Dione.
What Is the Difference Between a 3 Position and an Infinite Position Lift Chair?
A 3-position lift chair moves the back and footrest together through sit, TV, and recline. An infinite-position Golden MaxiComfort chair moves them on their own, so the person can sit up with the legs out or lie flatter. Golden's 4-zone chairs add a powered headrest and lumbar on top of that MaxiComfort motion. Twilight, sold on other Golden pages, adds a fifth tilt zone.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Rhea?
The Golden Rhea lift chair is rated 400 lb (181 kg) on Golden's current Canada sell sheet, Medium or Large. Stay at or under that rating.
What Fabrics Can I Choose?
The Golden Rhea lift chair is sold in Sinda Lagoon, Umber, and Sparrow. Golden's Canada card states crossover fabrics are unavailable. Sinda fabrics carry a 5-year fabric warranty on that card.
Does the Rhea Have Twilight?
The Golden Rhea PL-442 lift chair does not have Twilight. It is a 4-zone MaxiComfort DeLuna chair. Twilight Rhea is Golden PR447 and is not this page.
Is HeatWave Standard?
The Golden Rhea lift chair includes HeatWave Far Infrared heat as standard on Golden's Canada sheet. Vibrating massage is not on that sheet. Nirvana is not an option on that sheet.
Can Funding Help With a Lift Chair in Ontario?
Funding support for a lift chair in Ontario depends on the person's situation and assessment. Westin Healthcare works with funding programs every week. Start on our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 before you buy.
What Is the Warranty on the Golden Rhea?
The Golden Rhea lift chair carries Golden's lifetime coverage on the chair frame, lift frame, and recline mechanism for the original purchaser, three years on electrical parts, then a prorated schedule through year seven. Mechanical labour is subsidized for three years. Electrical labour is subsidized for one year. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
