Description
The NuProdx MC6000 is a mobile tub slider system: a commode chair, a tub-access slider, and an in-home mobility chair in one. Westin Healthcare quotes it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is a made-to-measure series, not a single off-the-shelf SKU.
Sunrise Canada's MC6000 series page lists seven configurations. The best-selling MC6000 is 22 in wide, 46 lb (21 kg), rated at 300 lb (136 kg), with a 17 x 17 in seat (optional 17 x 20 in). The MC6200 steps up to a 20 x 20 in seat and 400 lb (181 kg). Tilt, reverse-shower, and travel versions sit on the same modular aluminum family.
Who this tub slider is for
This system is for a person who needs one bedside transfer, then wants to roll over the toilet and slide over a bridge into a tub, without a second lift. Families usually call us when bathroom transfers are the hardest part of the day, and a standard transfer bench is not enough.
If the bathroom has a roll-in shower and no tub wall, start with the NuProdx MC4000. If the user transfers independently onto a bench that stays in the tub, see the NuProdx MC5000. For a child, see the MC6000 Pediatric. Among shower commodes we already stock, see the Raz AP.
- One bedside transfer, then roll and slide
- A removable connector bridge so the shower curtain can close
- Aircraft-grade aluminum, brass, and stainless steel, made in the USA
How the MC6000 transfer works
Sunrise's card lists four steps. One bedside transfer onto the chair. Roll around the home. Roll over the toilet. Slide over the bridge into the tub. Once the chair is in the tub, the patented connector bridge can come off so the curtain can close. The chair is built to fit over standard and ADA toilets and, Sunrise says, most bathtubs and showers. We still measure the bathroom before we order.
Cushions are modular. Flip-up locking cantilever arms are standard on the base MC6000 and MC6200. Do not invent a transfer the maker does not describe. A caregiver still has to learn the bridge and the locks.
MC6000 series configurations
These figures are from Sunrise Medical Canada's MC6000 series page. The specification tab holds the stored values. We quote the configuration that fits the person and the bathroom. There is no picker on the order yet.

MC6000 or another NuProdx
The MC6000 is the mobile tub slider: it rolls and it crosses a tub wall. The MC5000 stays put as a stationary slider. The MC4000 is a wheeled shower commode for barrier-free showers, with no tub bridge. The MC3000 is a stationary shower commode, not a slider, despite the older name on that page. The Raz AP is the attendant shower commode we already stock.
Funding help for bathroom safety equipment in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund bathroom safety equipment, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada's Home and Vehicle Modification Program, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this tub slider across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble the bridge, and show you the locks, the slide, and the toilet overlay before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather talk through a bathroom measure first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Purchased systems are delivered and set up on a scheduled date after we confirm the measures.
This system is oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If it is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
