Description
The NuProdx MC3000 is a stationary shower commode chair for people who transfer well and want a portable commode and shower seat. Westin Healthcare quotes it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Sunrise Canada's series page is Stationary Shower Commode Chairs. It is not a tub slider, even though an older name on this template says slider.
The base MC3000 is 22 in wide, about 19 lb (8.6 kg), rated at 300 lb (136 kg), with a 17 x 17 in seat (optional 17 x 20 in), flip-up locking cantilever arms, and adjustable crutch tips. The MC3000 TX travel chair is about 20 lb and packs in a suitcase. Tilt and 400 lb versions sit on the same series.
Who this shower commode is for
This chair is for a person with good mobility and transfer skill who wants a light commode they can move from bathroom to bathroom, or pack for a hotel with a roll-in shower. Families usually call us when a full mobile slider is more chair than they need.
If you need to cross a tub wall, start with the MC5000 or the MC6000. If you need to roll into a barrier-free shower, see the MC4000. Among commodes we already stock, see the Raz AP.
- About 19 lb on the base MC3000
- A 20 lb TX that folds into a suitcase
- Optional casters on the order for hotel roll-in showers
Transfers and travel
Sunrise writes the MC3000 for independent users who transfer with little or no help. Seat-to-floor on the base and TX is 16.5-24 in. Tilt versions sit at 20-26 in. Adjustable crutch tips (or casters when ordered) set the height. The TX uses a two-part folding seat frame with a cloth back and one tool. Customer notes on the CA page describe hotel roll-in showers and a bowel program on the road. We still measure the bathroom before we quote.
This chair does not include a tub-wall bridge. If you need to slide over a rim, order an MC5000 or MC6000.
