Description

The Beka Nora Pro is an aluminum sit-to-stand lift with BEKA's 3D-Comfort-System. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes and care settings in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The sling is sold separately. BEKA lists a safe working load of 205 kg (451 lb).

This is a sit-to-stand lift for BEKA mobility groups 2 and 3, not a sling hoist for a bedridden person. BEKA's Group 3 description says that in most cases residents can only hold their weight on one leg and rarely on both legs, and that they have sufficient core stability to sit upright without assistance for longer periods. If the person cannot take part, see a full-body floor lift such as the Beka Carlo or the Hoyer Advance Electric.

Who it is for

The Nora Pro is for a person who still stands with help and who needs a comfortable, active rise. BEKA describes excellent comfort, a secure hold, and a natural, ergonomic standing-up motion. The 3D-Comfort-System uses two swivel axles and a multi-layer memory-foam cushion that surrounds the legs. The RUBIN colour design puts red on the leg support, grip handles, and footplate so those contact points are easier to see. BEKA names that colour concept for residents with orientation difficulties, including people with dementia and people with decreasing eyesight in old age.

Savaria adds extra sling attachment points for clients under 5.3 feet. If you want the same brand without the Pro cushion and RUBIN colour, see the Beka Nora (200 kg / 440 lb).

  • Long-term care or home care when BEKA Group 2 or Group 3 fits the person
  • Toileting and bathing in tight rooms, as Savaria describes those uses
  • Users within BEKA's 205 kg (451 lb) safe working load

How it lifts

A powered boom raises the person toward standing while the 3D-Comfort-System follows the legs. Retractable safety belts hold each leg. The horizontal footplate comes off for cleaning. The chassis is compact aluminum. Savaria lists a removable 24 V lithium-ion battery that shares the charger family with other Beka floor lifts, splash-resistant (IPX4) electrics, and an LCD with battery status, cycle counter, maintenance alerts, SWL alerts, and onboard lift controls as well as a hand control.

Savaria sells Nora Pro in clip connection (921078000) and loop connection (921078001). Confirm which yoke you need before we order.

Beka Nora Pro specifications

These figures are from BEKA Hospitec's current Nora Pro page. The specification tab holds the stored values. Safe working load is 205 kg (451 lb). Length is 994 mm. Minimum width is 704 mm. Inside width with the chassis spread is 910 mm. Height is 1091-1659 mm. Weight is 49.1 kg without the battery. The battery is lithium-ion.

Savaria's North American table prints some different millimetres. We are using BEKA's manufacturer sheet here. Ask us to confirm the carton if you need a millimetre that is not on the BEKA page.

Slings and spreader bar

The Nora Pro is a sit-to-stand lift with two attachment-point heights. Savaria lists clip and loop versions, and official sit-to-stand slings in S, M, L, and XL for both styles (loop 921071050/100/200/300, clip 921070053US/103US/203US/303US). Cross-brand slings are not claimed.

The sling is sold separately. See our sit-to-stand slings. For a full-body sling on a Carlo or another boom lift, start at full-body slings.

Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts or other lifting devices. Funding routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship funding programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control, the LCD, and the emergency functions before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service; purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

Patient lifts are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the lift is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Can I rent a patient lift before I buy?

Yes. Westin Healthcare rents patient lifts. See current packages and rates on the rentals hub. Same-day delivery is offered on the rental service. Purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

Ask us whether a sit-to-stand lift is available on the rental fleet for your dates. If you later decide to buy, ask us about applying rental credit toward a purchase. The rentals hub and rental program FAQs have the program rules.

Service and warranty

When something on the lift needs work, you call the shop that set it up. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

BEKA manufacturer warranty

BEKA's Nora Pro product page does not print a year count. Ask us for the current warranty that ships with your Nora Pro before you buy. We handle the claim with you.

Frequently asked questions

Who does BEKA say the Nora Pro is for?

BEKA marks it compatible with mobility groups 2 and 3. Group 3 describes people who can often hold their weight on one leg, who can sit upright, and who need help with many daily activities. It is not a Group 4 or 5 sling hoist.

What is the safe working load?

BEKA lists 205 kg (451 lb). That is not the 440 lb rating on the Nora Alu.

What is the 3D-Comfort-System?

BEKA describes two swivel axles that follow the legs, plus a large multi-layer memory-foam cushion that surrounds the legs during the rise.

Is the sling included?

No. Savaria lists official clip and loop sit-to-stand slings in S to XL. See our sit-to-stand slings category. Tell us if you need clip or loop.

How is Nora Pro different from Nora?

Nora Pro adds the 3D-Comfort-System, RUBIN colour, lithium-ion battery, and a 205 kg rating. The Beka Nora is the 200 kg aluminum stand aid without those Pro features.

Can I rent a sit-to-stand lift first?

Westin Healthcare rents patient lifts. See current packages and rates on the rentals hub. Ask us whether a sit-to-stand unit is on the rental fleet for your dates.

Does it work in a bathroom?

Savaria describes a compact aluminum frame for toileting and bathing in limited spaces, and splash-resistant (IPX4) electrics. We can measure the room before you buy.

How is a purchased lift delivered?

Westin's team delivers and sets up purchased lifts across Brampton and the GTA on a scheduled date. Call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service, not automatically to a purchased lift.
