Description
The Leckey Horizon Stander is Leckey's electric 3-in-1 pediatric stander for older children, teens, and adults who need prone, supine, or upright standing. Westin Healthcare quotes it after a clinical assessment, then delivers and sets it up for families in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
Sunrise Medical Canada currently lists Size 2 (about 9-18 years, 55.1-70.9 in, 176 lb / 80 kg) and Size 3 (14 years to adult, 61-70.9 in, 220 lb / 100 kg). There is no Size 1 on the Canada card. A rechargeable remote moves the frame from 0 to 90 degrees. The person's occupational therapist or physiotherapist sets the position and the accessories. We do not give clinical advice.
Who this stander is for
This stander is for an older child, teen, or smaller adult whose therapy team wants one electric frame for prone, supine, and upright standing. Families usually call us when a therapist has named Horizon, or when they are choosing between Horizon, Mygo, and the R82 Caribou.
- People who need 0-90 degree powered standing rather than a crank
- Size 3 users who need the 220 lb capacity and wider hip pads
- Clinics and homes that want a wipe-clean vinyl cover or the original grey fabric
If the child is still in the Mygo height band and the therapist wants a crank, start with the Mygo Stander.
How Horizon stands
One pelvic belt is used in upright, supine, and prone. Chest support, flexible laterals, and independent footplates adjust around that pelvis. The remote is rechargeable. A caregiver stays with the person in the frame.
Hip support height is 29.5-37.4 in on Size 2 and 29.5-45.3 in on Size 3. Hip width is 8.3-15.3 / 12.2-18.5 in. Tray 20.5 x 23.2 in, prone 0 to +40 degrees, supine -20 to +30 degrees. Footplate 10 degrees. The Canada "chest width" row reprints the hip-height inches. We omit that row until the order form confirms it.
Leckey Horizon Stander specifications
These figures are from Sunrise Medical Canada's current Horizon card. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Size 2 weighs 110.6 lb. Size 3 weighs 130 lb. Horizon manuals print electrical parts at one year, with the rest of the Leckey-manufactured product on the standard three year term. Sunrise Canada notes provincial and funding variation.
Horizon, Mygo, or Caribou
Stay with Horizon when the therapist wants electric 0-90 degree standing for an older child or adult. Stay with Mygo for a crank school-age frame. Stay with Caribou when the therapist named R82 and wants a horizontal transfer with floor-hoist clearance.
- Leckey Mygo Stander, crank 3-position, ages 4-14
- Leckey Freestander, upright only, to 198 lb
- R82 Caribou Stander, live multi-position R82 sibling
Funding help for a pediatric stander in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) lists pediatric walkers, standers, and strollers as funded mobility aids. ADP can fund 75% of the cost of a pediatric stander when it is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full client share. Not every product or situation qualifies, so talk to us and the child's therapy team before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), Easter Seals Ontario, and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this stander across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble the quoted size, and show you the remote, the tilt, and the accessories before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a stander first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Purchased standers are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Pediatric standers are oversized configured equipment. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the stander is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions
Does ADP cover a pediatric stander in Ontario?
Ontario lists pediatric walkers, standers, and strollers among mobility aids. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses the person. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will talk through the funding route before anyone orders a Horizon.
What sizes does the Leckey Horizon come in?
Sunrise Medical Canada currently lists Size 2 and Size 3. Size 2 is about 9-18 years and 55.1-70.9 inches. Size 3 is 14 years to adult and 61-70.9 inches. There is no Size 1 on the current Canada card.
Is the Horizon electric?
Yes. A rechargeable remote moves the frame from 0 to 90 degrees. We will show you the handset and the charger at setup.
What is the weight capacity of the Horizon Stander?
Size 2 is 176 lb (80 kg). Size 3 is 220 lb (100 kg). Stay inside the figure for the quoted size.
Can adults use the Horizon?
Size 3 is printed for 14 years to adult, to 220 lb, with wider hip pads and chest laterals. Most families still reach us through a pediatric standing program. Adults get a clinical quote when the therapist names Horizon.
How is Horizon different from the R82 Caribou?
Both are multi-position standers. Horizon is Leckey's electric 0-90 degree frame in two current Canada sizes. Caribou is R82 / Etac, sizes 1-4, gas spring or power, with a raised frame for a floor hoist. The therapist names the brand.
What is included with the Leckey Horizon Stander?
You get the quoted size, the electric frame, the cover (vinyl or grey fabric), and the accessories the therapist specified. There is no single stock package. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets up across Brampton and the GTA.
What is the warranty on the Horizon Stander?
Leckey prints three years on manufactured products and components, and one year on electrical parts. Sunrise Canada notes provincial and funding variation. Westin Healthcare processes the claim through our service and repairs page.
