The Handicare Carina 350 is Handicare's foldable steel floor lift with an aluminum sling bar. Savaria Patient Care lists it for North America. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Savaria prints a 350 lb safe working load on the specification table.
The boom is electric. The lift folds without tools or loose parts. Use the Model selector for Manual Folding Legs (EM) or Electric Folding Legs (EE). Those picker names are the EM and EE models. EM opens the base with a pedal. EE opens the base from the hand control. Both models fold.
Who it is for
This lift is for a person who needs a full-body transfer inside 350 lb, when a compact fold and a two-point Handicare bar are what the therapist asked for. How it lifts
The Carina 350 is an electric floor lift. The caregiver opens the base (pedal on EM, hand control on EE), attaches a Handicare / SystemRoMedic sling to the two-point SlingBar M, and raises the boom. The bar is 17.7 inches wide and has safety latches. Handicare prints both manual and electrical emergency lowering, plus an emergency stop on the control box. Charging is built in.
Handicare talks about caregiver ergonomics on this model. It does not print a one-caregiver guarantee. We will plan the first transfer with you.

Savaria prints a 350 lb safe working load, a 45.3 inch base length, collapsed size 47.9 by 25.3 by 16.8 inches, outer base 26.8 to 42.5 inches, inner base 22.0 to 37.0 inches, lifting range 22.8 to 66.1 inches, height 50.8 to 72.4 inches, and 0.9 inches per second unloaded. EM weighs 76 lb. EE weighs 78 lb. The battery on the Savaria table is 2.9 Ah.
Article numbers behind the picker are 60600011 (EM) and 60600009 (EE). Low-leg versions 60600012 and 60600014 exist at Savaria and are not on this picker. Ask us if the bed is too low for the standard legs.

- Manual Folding Legs (EM) is Carina350EM, manual base widening, 76 lb.
- Electric Folding Legs (EE) is Carina350EE, electrical base widening, 78 lb.
Both fold. The extra charge on EE is for the powered base, not for the fold.
Slings and spreader bar
The standard bar is SlingBar M, a two-point aluminum bar 17.7 inches / 450 mm wide, with safety latches. Handicare also lists optional SlingBar XS, S, and L, a spreader, a stretcher bar, and a four-point SlingBar RFL X4. Use Handicare / SystemRoMedic slings approved for Carina. The sling is sold separately. Start with our full-body slings or universal slings, and we will confirm the Handicare sling. We will not claim every loop sling on the market.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts or other lifting devices. Funding routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship funding programs. Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service; purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Floor patient lifts are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the lift is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Can I rent a patient lift before I buy?
Yes. If you only need the lift for a recovery, or you want to live with a floor lift before you buy, rent first. See current packages and rates on patient lift rentals in Brampton.
Rental packages include an electric floor lift and a sling. For rentals we offer same-day delivery in Brampton, Etobicoke, Toronto, and Mississauga, and next-day delivery for other areas, with one day of notice. The shortest rental term on the rentals page is one week.

Service, repairs, and warranty
When something on the lift needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Savaria's current Carina card does not print a year split we can cite here. Ask us for the Handicare terms that ship with your serial number. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

Does ADP cover patient lifts in Ontario?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program does not cover patient lifts. Other funding routes may still help, depending on the person and the assessment. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will check which path fits before anyone starts paperwork.
