This is the loop Hygiene Sling with a chest buckle. A clip hygiene sling and an enhanced-support hygiene sling are different articles with their own codes. It is a loop sling. The Hygiene Sling with Buckle is for a person who needs a toileting sling, has enough trunk control for this cut, and needs a large opening so clothing can come off and go back on during the lift. What you get
You get one Hygiene Sling with Buckle in the article on your quote. The body is quilted mesh: quilted open-cell foam and knit polyester that lets air and water pass through and reduces bunching under the thighs. A wide trunk strap fastens with a buckle. Shoulder and leg straps have colour-coded loops. The seat is a large commode opening. A lift is sold separately.
The same colour loop must be used on both sides. For a more upright sit, use the short loops at the shoulders and the long loops at the legs. At the base of each leg strap there is a loop: pass one strap through the other before the loops go on the carry bar.

Care and laundering
Put the sling in a washing bag before it goes in the washer, so the agitator does not wear the loops or fabric. Wash at 80 C (176 F). Follow the tag on the sling you receive. Inspect fabric, seams, the buckle, and loops after every wash. Compare it to a new sling if you are unsure.
This quilted polyester sling is not for leave-in-place use. Take it out after the transfer.

Attachment and compatible lifts
The Hygiene Sling with Buckle is a loop sling. Colour-coded loops seat on a Handicare or Savaria carry bar. It does not use clip fasteners and it does not use Human Care E-clips.
Handicare states that the sling is used from a sitting position with a client lift or a Stand Aid, and that its loop slings fit its complete range of carry bars. On our floor that is the Handicare C450, the Handicare C625, the Handicare A450, the Handicare AP300 portable motor, the Savaria M-Series ceiling lift, and the two-point SlingBar on the Handicare Carina 350. The finished transfer is limited by the lowest rating among the lift, the bar, and the sling. A Carina 350 transfer stays inside 350 lb even though this sling is 1000 lb.

Handicare warrants slings against defects in material or workmanship for 1 year from the date of installation or 18 months from the date of manufacture, whichever is shorter. Expected lifetime is up to 4 years, depending on use, care, and laundering. We handle the claim with you.

This card is the quilted loop sling with a chest buckle, 1000 lb, no head-support panel. A clip hygiene sling uses clip fixings, a built-in head support, and a lower rating. An enhanced-support hygiene sling is a structured polyester cut with extra lower-back support and the arms outside the sling. Ask us for the card that matches the carry bar and the person's trunk control.
Can it stay under the person after the transfer?
No. Handicare states this sling is not suitable to leave under the person. Take it out after the transfer. Only some spacer slings are made to stay in place.
Does the person need trunk control?
Yes. Handicare states the person must have adequate trunk control and must not need more trunk support than this sling provides. If more back or head support is required, ask us for a different seated sling.
How do I wash it?
Put it in a laundry bag and wash at 80 C (176 F). Follow the sling tag. Inspect loops, the buckle, and seams after every wash.
Does funding cover a sling in Ontario?
