The Handicare Full Standing Support Sling is a loop sit-to-stand and walking support sling. A dual-buckle chest harness supports the torso, and adjustable buckle thigh supports help keep the harness in place while the person stands, pivots, toilets, or starts gait training. Westin Healthcare quotes the family in Brampton and fits it across the Greater Toronto Area on Handicare and Savaria loop carry bars.
This is the Full Standing Support Sling. A Rehab Total Support Sling and a Walking Sling are different articles with their own codes. It is a loop sling. It does not use clip or E-clip fasteners. If the carry bar is a Human Care mushroom fastener, see the Human Care Full Body Sling E-clip instead.
Who this sling is for
The Full Standing Support Sling is for a person who needs help to rise from a chair, stand, pivot, toilet, or begin gait training with support around the torso and thighs. Handicare applies it from a sitting position. The person is then raised to standing. It is not a full-seat transfer sling, and it is not a leave-in-place sling.

What you get
You get one Full Standing Support Sling in the article on your quote. The reusable body is quilted polyester with padded leg sections and covered strap connection points. The chest closes on two buckles. The thigh supports close on four buckles. Four colour-coded loop straps go on the carry bar. Guide handles help the caregiver steer the transfer. A lift is sold separately.
The same colour loop must be used on both sides. Fit the quilted side against the body so the handle loops show at the back when the sling is on. Bring the short chest flap over the long chest flap, buckle, and tension. Wrap the outer thigh flaps over the inner flaps, buckle, and tension the loose strap ends before the loops go on the bar.
Sizing
Handicare sizes this sling by waist, measured 2 in above the navel. People of the same height or weight can still need different sizes. If the person is over 400 lb, ask us for a sling consultation. Confirm the size with a clinician or our staff before first use.

Handicare Full Standing Support Sling specifications
These figures are for the current Full Standing Support family, not a Rehab Total Support Sling, and not a Walking Sling. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Every reusable poly size is 600 lb (272 kg). Attachment is loop, four colour-coded straps. There is no head-support panel. Medium Poly 507920 is the article on the official gallery. Inspect loops, buckles, and seams before each use and after every wash, and discard the sling if you find tears or serious defects.

Care and laundering
For a reusable poly sling, use a mild detergent on a warm wash and a cold rinse, or hand wash so the buckles and metal rings do not catch in the machine. Hang the sling to air dry, or use the air or fluff cycle. Do not use chlorine bleach and do not dry-clean. Do not dry it on a heater, steam pipe, or wood stove. Follow the tag on the sling you receive. Inspect fabric, seams, buckles, and loops after every wash.
A disposable article is for one person. Do not put it through the washer. Discard it if it is soiled or damaged.
This sling is not for leave-in-place use. Take it out after the session.

Attachment and compatible lifts
The Full Standing Support Sling is a loop sling. Four colour-coded loops seat on a Handicare or Savaria carry bar. It does not use clip fasteners and it does not use Human Care E-clips.
Handicare states that its loop slings fit its complete range of carry bars, and that this sling is not suitable with every ceiling lift. Confirm the motor and the bar with us. On our floor the loop carry-bar motors are the Handicare C450, the Handicare C625, the Handicare A450, the Handicare AP300 portable motor, the Savaria M-Series ceiling lift, and the two-point SlingBar on the Handicare Carina 350. When the sling hangs from a ceiling motor, lower the carry car to about the seated person's eye level, attach all four straps, and set the chair at a right angle to the track. Block the person's knees with a bed or frame before you raise to standing.
The finished transfer is limited by the lowest rating among the lift, the bar, and the sling. A Carina 350 transfer stays inside 350 lb even though the reusable poly sling is 600 lb.
If the person needs a full-seat loop sling rather than a standing-support cut, start with the Handicare Universal Sling. The Comfort Care sling we already stock and the Deluxe Hammock with head support are also full-seat loop styles, quoted on their own cards.

Handicare / Savaria manufacturer warranty
Handicare warrants slings against defects in material or workmanship for 1 year from the date of installation or 18 months from the date of manufacture, whichever is shorter. We handle the claim with you.

Handicare also states this sling is not suitable with every ceiling lift, so confirm the motor and the bar with us. It does not fit a Human Care E-clip bar. A Carina 350 transfer stays inside 350 lb.
How is this different from a Rehab Total Support Sling or a Walking Sling?
This card is the dual-buckle Full Standing Support Sling, 600 lb on reusable poly, with buckle thigh supports. A Rehab Total Support Sling is a different article with Velcro torso closures and a higher rating. A Walking Sling is a different padded gait sling. Ask us for the card that matches the lift and the person's support needs.
Can it stay under the person after the session?
No. Handicare states this sling is not suitable to leave under the person. Take it out after the session.
Does it hang on a sit-to-stand floor lift?
This sling attaches by loops to a Handicare or Savaria carry bar. The fitting steps show a ceiling lift raising the person to standing. A MiniLift thorax vest and other stand-assist slings are different articles for those lifts. Ask us to match the sling to the bar you have.
How do I wash it?
Reusable poly: mild detergent, warm wash and cold rinse or hand wash, then air dry or fluff. No chlorine bleach and no dry-cleaning. Disposable: single-patient, do not wash. Follow the sling tag.
Does funding cover a sling in Ontario?
