Description
The Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 is a mid-wheel Category 3 power wheelchair from Quantum Rehab. Westin Healthcare configures it to an ADP-registered therapist's prescription and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is the adult Edge 2.0 (ADP device code WP0001254), still listed on Ontario's January 2026 Mobility Devices Product Manual. It is the generation before the Edge 3, not a discontinued leftover. Quantum's current spec sheet rates it at 300 lbs, up to 6.25 mph with Q-Logic 3, a 20.5 inch turning radius, and a 24.4 inch base. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assessment comes first. For eligible clients, ADP can fund 75% of the approved price.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who needs a mid-wheel Type 3 base, seating that can change as needs change, and who is within Quantum's 300 lb rating, and whose therapist still wants the Edge 2.0 instead of the newer Edge 3. Families usually call us when a replacement or a familiar 2.0 setup is the right clinical match, or when the ADP row for WP0001254 is the one on the authorizer's form.
If you want the current SRS mid-wheel with 12 inch iLevel at 4.5 mph class speeds, start with the Quantum Edge 3. If you want front-wheel drive, see the Quantum 4Front 2. The Edge 2.0 is not a folding travel chair.
- ADP Category 3 / Adult Power Base Type 3 (device code WP0001254)
- Mid-wheel 6, 24.4 inch base, 20.5 inch turning radius
- Separate from Edge 3 (WP0001575)
Design and build
Quantum builds the Q6 Edge 2.0 as a Mid-Wheel 6 base with 14 inch solid drive wheels (pneumatic or knobby optional) and 6 inch solid casters. Motors on the current sheet are 2-pole. Top speed is up to 6.25 mph when Q-Logic 3 is on the order. Ground clearance is 2.7 inches at the battery tray.
TRU-Balance 3 and Flex seating are the manufacturer families. Official widths run 10 to 22 inches on static seating and 12 to 22 inches on power tilt and lift-and-tilt. Flex is 15 to 22 inches wide and 15 to 20 inches deep. Optional iLevel on the 2.0 family is the 10 inch class elevate at walking speed (up to 3.5 mph on Quantum's 2.0 language). Do not mix that with the Edge 3 12 inch / 4.5 mph iLevel line. Q-Logic NE, NE+, NES, 3 EX, and 3e are the electronics on the sheet. The chair does not fold.
Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 specifications
These figures are for the adult Q6 Edge 2.0 as printed on Quantum Rehab's current spec sheet. The specification tab holds the stored values. Quantum does not print a drive range on that sheet, so we do not print one here.
Weight capacity 300 lbs. Maximum speed up to 6.25 mph with Q-Logic 3. Ground clearance 2.7 inches. Turning radius 20.5 inches. Overall length 32.23 inches without foot riggings. Base width 24.4 inches. Base weight 138.6 lbs. Batteries two NF-22, 38 lbs. Charger 8 amp off-board.
Warranty for a Canadian purchaser follows Quantum's Canada insert: lifetime limited on the main frame and fixed-position seat post, 2 years on electronics, motors, actuators, and accessories, 6 months on bearings, and 12 months on Quantum-supplied batteries. Ignore a "1 year on parts" line if it still appears on an old short description.
How this chair is configured
Every Edge 2.0 is written on the Quantum order form with the therapist. Seat width, seat depth, seating system, electronics, and power functions are set there. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will start that form with you.
A Category 3 power wheelchair is configured after assessment, not taken home from a box.
ADP funding for a Category 3 wheelchair in Ontario
This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
After the chair is approved and built to the prescription, Westin's own team delivers and sets it up across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the joystick, charger, and seating functions before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a mid-wheel power chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This power wheelchair is oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Quantum manufacturer warranty
Quantum's current Canada insert is lifetime limited on the main frame and fixed-position seat post, 2 years on electronics, motors, actuators, and accessories, 6 months on bearings and bushings, and 12 months on Quantum-supplied batteries. Wear items such as tyres, shrouds, and upholstery are outside that term. We handle the claim with you.
Frequently asked questions
What does Category 3 mean on this power wheelchair?
Ontario lists Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 (Adult) as an Adult Power Base Type 3 device (WP0001254). Type 3 is for people who need ongoing changes in postural support and modifications to electronics. The paediatric sibling code is WP0001253.
Is the Edge 2.0 discontinued?
No. It is the previous generation, and it is still on the January 2026 ADP list as its own adult row. The Edge 3 is the newer mid-wheel. A therapist may still prescribe the 2.0.
Is this the same product as the Edge 3?
No. Different ADP codes, different suspension and iLevel packages, different optional motors. Keep them on separate pages.
Who qualifies for ADP funding?
In general you must be an Ontario resident with a valid health card and a disability that needs a mobility aid for 6 months or longer. An ADP-registered OT or PT has to assess you first. We cannot promise that a specific person will qualify.
How does the 75 / 25 split work?
For eligible clients, ADP pays 75% of the approved price and the person pays 25%. Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD can open 100% of that approved price. Batteries and items outside the ADP device are extra.
What is the assessment process?
An ADP-registered OT or PT examines the person, helps complete the application, and works with Westin on the configuration. Ontario aims to review complete applications within 8 weeks. Do not order before those steps.
Can I try an Edge 2.0 first?
Call (905) 451-7743 and ask what is on the floor. A floor chair is a starting point. The funded chair is built to the prescription.
How should the seat width fit?
The therapist measures seated hip width. Official 2.0 seating tops out at 22 inches wide. Those numbers go on the order form.
What is the weight capacity?
Quantum lists 300 lbs. Stay at or under that rating.
What if the prescription includes power tilt or recline?
Ontario treats power dynamic tilt and/or recline as high technology. Those chairs are bought through the Central Equipment Pool. Your therapist will say if that path applies.
What happens if ADP declines?
Ontario sends a letter with the reason and how to follow up, including an appeal. Do not take delivery on the assumption that funding will arrive later.
What is the warranty?
Lifetime frame, 2 years electronics and motors, 12 months Quantum batteries, on the Canada insert. That is not a one-year parts term. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
