Description
The Ki Mobility Focus CR is a Category 5 Dual Path tilt-in-space wheelchair. Westin Healthcare configures it to prescription for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. This is not an off-the-shelf cart chair. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses first. Then Westin builds the seat, the back, and the hangers on Ki's order form.
Ki's current Focus CR page lists -5 to 50 degrees of tilt, a 300 lb standard capacity, a 400 lb heavy-duty capacity, and a 33 lb transport weight on a defined 16 by 16 setup. Seat width runs 14 to 24 inches. This is not the CR45. CR45 is a separate Ki model with a 0 to 45 degree range and a 22 inch maximum seat.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who needs a wide-range manual dynamic tilt because they cannot shift their own weight, and whose therapist has chosen Focus CR rather than the value CR45 or a Quickie IRIS. Caregivers can tilt with one hand (left or right), two hands, or a foot. Power tilt with a toggle is an order-form option so the rider can change position without a lift.
If a 45 degree Dual Path chair at 14 to 22 inch is enough, start with the Ki Mobility CR45. If the person needs a folding 20 degree tilt, see the Ki Mobility Liberty. Browse our tilt wheelchairs if you are still comparing Category 5 bases.
- Category 5 manual dynamic tilt after an ADP-registered therapist assessment
- -5 to 50 degree Dual Path tilt on the Focus CR
- 300 lb standard or 400 lb heavy-duty Ki ratings, seat to 24 inches
Design and build
Focus CR uses Dual Path Complex Rotation: two control paths with two centres of rotation. Cable routing sits inside the seat frame. Centre of gravity adjusts with two bolts, often with the person still in the seating system. Eight sealed bearings sit in the tilt path. Anti-tips flip up with a foot.
Single-hand tilt is the Focus-only caregiver option Ki calls out. Dual-hand and foot tilt are also on the page. Power tilt is a separate order. Front-mount hangers come in 70 and 80 degree with a four-way release. Fold-down stroller handles sweep 30 to 270 degrees. The Canada form includes a one-time growth kit on the base line. Colour, wheels, and transit are set on the order.
- Dual Path Complex Rotation frame, 1 inch tubing

- Seat height 13 to 20.5 inches

Ki Mobility Focus CR specifications
These figures are for the Ki Mobility Focus CR Westin configures from Ki's current product page and the Canada order form dated 1/5/2026. The specification tab holds the stored values. Use the 300/400 lb / 33 lb / -5 to 50 degree Focus CR lines, not CR45 0 to 45 / 38 lb / 14 to 22 numbers if those still appear in older text.
Seat width 14 to 24 inches. Seat depth 14 to 22 inches. Seat height 13 to 20.5 inches. Tilt -5 to 50 degrees. Capacity 300 lb standard, 400 lb heavy duty. Transport weight 33 lb for a 16 by 16 with stroller-handle back posts, 6 by 1 poly casters, and armrests, footrests, and rear wheels removed. Top tube 1 inch. Transit yes.
Warranty for the original purchaser is lifetime on the frame, hangers, tilt assembly including bearings, and quick-release axles; two years on power-tilt components except batteries; and one year on other Ki-made parts, in North America. Upholstery, tires, armrest pads, tubes, armrests, and push-handle grips are outside that term.
Seat size and hangers
Seat width, seat depth, heavy-duty versus standard, and colour are set on the Ki order form with the therapist. There is no single in-stock size. Widths run 14 to 24 inches. Depths run 14 to 22 inches. The extra-wide range needs the 400 lb capacity on Ki's form.
Use Legrest Footrest Type to set swing-away or elevating hangers. Single versus dual versus foot tilt, power tilt, the growth kit, and transit stay on the order form that Westin submits with you.
ADP funding for a Category 5 wheelchair in Ontario
This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area after the assessment, the configuration, and the ADP submission are in place. We bring it in, check the tilt, and show you the wheel locks, the hangers, and the tilt release before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Ki Mobility manufacturer warranty
Ki warrants the Focus CR frame, hangers, tilt assembly including bearings, and quick-release axles for the life of the original purchaser. Power-tilt components are two years except batteries. Other Ki-made parts are one year from first consumer purchase. The term applies in North America. Wear items such as upholstery, tires, armrest pads, tubes, armrests, and grips are outside that term. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What does Category 5 mean on the Focus CR?
Category 5 is Ontario's adult manual dynamic tilt class. Focus CR is a Dual Path tilt-in-space chair for a person who cannot independently weight-shift. It is not a folding Type 1 or Type 2 everyday chair and it is not a transport chair.
Who qualifies for ADP on this chair?
Ontario residents with a valid health card who need a mobility aid for six months or longer may apply. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess the person before the chair is ordered. We cannot promise that a given buyer will be approved.
How does the 75 / 25 split work?
For eligible clients, ADP can fund 75 percent of the approved price of an eligible manual wheelchair. The client pays the remaining 25 percent. People on Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD can be covered at 100 percent.
What is the assessment process?
An ADP-registered OT or PT confirms that a generic or transport chair will not meet the need, trials tilt when that is the minimum device, and writes the prescription. Westin helps complete the application and submits it. A chair bought before approval is not reimbursed.
How long does ADP take?
Ontario aims to review a mobility-aid application within about eight weeks of receiving it. A configured Focus CR then has a build time. Ask us for a current picture when the paperwork is ready.
Can we trial a Focus CR?
Westin can show a Category 5 tilt at a Brampton or Toronto store when one is on the floor. The therapist's trial is what decides Focus CR versus CR45. A floor chair may not match the final seat size.
What seat width do I need?
Ki lists 14 to 24 inches on Focus CR. Measure seated hip width with the therapist. Widths past the medium range need the 400 lb capacity on Ki's form. A 14 to 22 inch 300 lb chair may be a CR45 instead.
Who pushes this chair?
A caregiver usually pushes and works the tilt, including the single-hand release if that is on the order. The person can self-propel if the therapist sets large rear wheels, or use optional power tilt to change position without a lift.
Does the Focus CR fold into a car trunk?
No. It is a Dual Path tilt base, not a folding commuter chair. Stroller handles fold down to shorten the package. Ki lists a 33 lb transport weight on a stripped 16 by 16 setup. Plan on a van or a hatch, or ask us about delivery.
What is the warranty?
Lifetime on the frame, hangers, tilt assembly including bearings, and quick-release axles. Two years on power-tilt components except batteries. One year on other Ki-made parts. Wear items are outside that term. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
What happens if ADP declines?
Ontario sends a letter with the reason and the appeal route. Do not take delivery of a custom chair on the assumption that a decline will reverse. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will walk through the letter with you and the therapist.
Is Focus CR the same chair as the CR45?
No. Focus CR is -5 to 50 degrees, 14 to 24 inch, 300 or 400 lb, 33 lb transport, with single-hand tilt and optional power tilt. CR45 is 0 to 45 degrees, 14 to 22 inch, 300 lb only, 38 lb transport. They have different ADP codes.
