The Blake Viva is a 6 inch Canadian foam hospital mattress with Blake's Multi-Directional (M.D.) segmented top, a gel-infused memory foam middle, and a channelled foam base. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it on the bed for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Official size is 36 by 80 inches only. Custom widths are not available.

Blake's live Viva page does not print a pressure-injury stage number. The 2022 catalogue lists it for prevention of pressure injuries, friction and shear relief, and zoned immersion. Who this mattress is for

This mattress is for a person on a 36 inch hospital bed who needs more shear relief than a flat foam top, especially if the head or foot of the bed is raised often. Blake's notched bolsters are there so the edges do not fight the frame when it articulates. It suits home care and anyone who wants a zoned foam feel without a pump.

Families usually call us when the person slides on a plain foam top as the head of the bed goes up, or when heels need a softer zone but a gel insert has not been ordered. Construction and how it works

The Viva is a non-powered foam mattress. Blake's current page describes three layers: an M.D. segmented foam top that runs from head to foot, with a softer heel zone; a gel-infused memory foam middle for immersion and temperature control; and a high-density foam base with horizontal channels for airflow and articulation. Firm side bolsters have relief notches so the edge can flex when the deck breaks.

Each top segment can move with the person, which is how Blake describes the friction and shear reduction. There is no pump. The cover is 4-way stretch, antimicrobial, fluid-proof, and wipeable.

Both options are 36 by 80 by 6 inches. If the bed is 42 inches or wider, this is the wrong mattress. Ask us about Infusion, Blatex, or a Geo-Matrix G-series width instead.

Hospital mattresses are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the mattress is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. The Viva is a 36 by 80 inch mattress. It fits Westin's 36 inch homecare frames, including the Drive Delta 1000, the Drive Delta 15235, and the Harmony 8199. It does not fit a 42 inch or wider deck.
