Description

The Prism Supreme Heavy Duty cushion is Future Mobility's 500 lb (227 kg) foam wheelchair cushion for high positioning support. Westin Healthcare fits it in Brampton and across the Greater Toronto Area after a seating check on the chair.

This is the Supreme HD, not the Supreme II Plus. Widths start at 24 in. It is not an air cushion.

Who this cushion is for

The Prism Supreme Heavy Duty cushion is for a person at or under 500 lb (227 kg) whose seating therapist wants a wider, thicker foam pressure relief cushion with aggressive leg troughs and a visco layer under the ITs. Future Mobility designed it for a high degree of positioning support.

A seating therapist should confirm the size and that foam is the right medium. Westin does not give clinical positioning advice. If you have questions about skin, posture, or transfers, ask the therapist who assessed you, or call us and we will book that conversation.

Foam layers, cover, and care

The base is high-density contour-cut foam with a visco layer under the ITs. The front is a waterfall edge. The rear has a cane cutout and a radius cut. Covers follow the Supreme family: waterproof incontinence cover, Infection Control Cover (ICC), 4-way stretch inner liner, and 4-way stretch breathable outer cover.

Follow the care steps in the factory literature that ships with the cushion.

  • Product weight 6.8 lb (3.08 kg) at 26 in W x 20 in L on the Canada card
  • User weight 500 lb (227 kg)
  • Contour: adductor 6.5 in (16.5 cm); abductor 5 in (12.7 cm); rear IT 4.25 in (10.8 cm); leg trough 4 in (10.2 cm); rear trochanter 5.25 in (13.3 cm)

Prism Supreme Heavy Duty specifications

These figures are from Future Mobility's July 2025 Supreme HD brochure, the Aug 2024 order form, and the live Canada card. The specification tab holds the stored values. Copy uses 6.8 lb at 26x20 from the Canada card.

Warranty 2 years limited on the cushion and 90 days on the cover. Ontario row SESFM0125 is printed on stock, non-stock, and custom sizes on the factory form. We do not say a given size is approved.

Sizes

Use Choose Width for 24 to 32 in and Choose Depth for the depth that matches the wheelchair seat. Factory even-inch depths include 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24 in. If the depth you need is not on the control, ask us. We check the size on the chair at delivery.

Supreme HD or Supreme II Plus

Stay here if you need the 500 lb cushion from 24 in wide. The Prism Supreme II Plus is the 350 lb cushion in 14 to 20 in sizes with a gel-infused top. An air cushion such as the ROHO High Profile is a different medium. Ask the seating therapist which construction fits the assessment.

Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario

This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this cushion across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, check the size on the chair, and show you the cover before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a wheelchair cushion first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased cushions are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

If the cushion is going outside the GTA, ask us for a shipping quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty

When something on the cushion needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Future Mobility manufacturer warranty

Future Mobility prints 2 years limited on the Supreme Heavy Duty cushion and 90 days on the cover, for the original purchaser. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

Frequently asked questions

What Size Wheelchair Cushion Do I Need?

A wheelchair cushion should match the wheelchair seat, not a clothing size. Measure the seat width and seat depth on the chair, then use Choose Width and Choose Depth for that pair. A seating therapist should confirm the size.

How Do I Choose Between Gel, Foam, And Air Cushions?

Foam such as the Prism Supreme II Plus uses layered polyurethane and memory foam, with a gel-infused top on the II Plus. An air cushion such as a ROHO uses inflatable cells. A gel bladder is a third construction. Ask the seating therapist which medium fits the assessment. We will not choose it from a web form.

Does ADP Cover Wheelchair Cushions?

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program can help with a wheelchair cushion or back support after an ADP-registered therapist assessment, when the seating is required with an eligible mobility device. Eligibility depends on the person and the device. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.

What Is The Weight Capacity Of The Supreme Heavy Duty?

The Prism Supreme Heavy Duty cushion is rated at 500 lb (227 kg) on Future Mobility's current brochure.

How Much Does The Supreme Heavy Duty Weigh?

The Prism Supreme Heavy Duty cushion weighs 6.8 lb (3.08 kg) at 26 in by 20 in on Future Mobility's Canada card.

Is The Supreme HD The Same As The Supreme II Plus?

The Prism Supreme Heavy Duty cushion is the 500 lb, 24 to 32 in cushion. The Supreme II Plus is the 350 lb, 14 to 20 in cushion with a gel-infused top. They are separate Future Mobility products.

What Does SESFM0125 Mean?

SESFM0125 is the Ontario ADP row Future Mobility prints for the Supreme Heavy Duty, including stock, non-stock, and custom sizes on the Aug 2024 form. Ask us which size you are ordering.

How Do I Clean The Supreme Heavy Duty?

The Prism Supreme Heavy Duty cover is made to be cleaned as an incontinence-resistant and ICC cover. Follow the factory care steps that ship with the cushion.

What Comes With The Supreme Heavy Duty?

The Prism Supreme Heavy Duty cushion is ordered as the layered foam base plus the cover for the width and depth you pick. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets it on the chair across Brampton and the GTA.
