Quantum iLevel Power Seat Lift

Quantum iLevel is the power adjustable seat height option from Quantum Rehab. Fitted to a Quantum rehab base, it lifts the whole seat so the rider sits at counter height, reaches upper shelves, and talks to people face to face, then brings the seat back down for driving and transfers. Westin Healthcare configures it with the chair to an ADP-registered therapist's prescription and delivers across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.

This page is for the iLevel seat lift option itself, priced by quote because it is ordered as part of a chair build, not as a stand-alone part. The base it goes on is ordered on the same form, so the two are always quoted together.

What iLevel does

iLevel raises and lowers the seat with the drive control already in the rider's hand. Quantum's published figures rate the lift at up to 12 inches on the Edge 3 Stretto, Edge 3, Q6 Edge 2.0, Q6 Edge Z and Q6 Edge 2.0 X, and the chair drives at up to 4.5 mph with the seat fully elevated, which is walking speed beside a caregiver. The weight capacity on those lift-rated bases is 300 lbs.

Patented Extra Stability Technology keeps the chair planted while the seat is up. Quantum builds the system to enhance safety for transfers, reach, and the other activities of daily living that happen above seat height, and LED fender lights are standard when iLevel is on the order.

Which chairs it fits

On the current Quantum Canada lineup, iLevel at the full 12 inch lift is available on the Quantum Edge 3, the Edge 3 Stretto, the Q6 Edge 2.0, the Q6 Edge Z and the Q6 Edge 2.0 X. On the Q6 Edge HD the system is rated at 10 inches and 400 lbs, and that combination is listed separately as the Quantum iLevel HD.

Seating and positioning on the same order form decide the final geometry. Power tilt and recline, such as the TRU-Balance 4 system, can be combined with iLevel on the qualifying bases, and the therapist's assessment determines which functions the prescription carries.

Quantum iLevel specifications

Quantum publishes no stand-alone weight or dimensions for the lift hardware, because it is built into the chair rather than bolted on after the fact, so none are claimed here.

Funding through ADP

iLevel is ordered as part of a Type 3 power wheelchair build, so the funding route is the Assistive Devices Program route the chair itself takes. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist writes the assessment, the prescription names the seat elevation, and ADP can fund 75 percent of the approved price for eligible clients. Only as part of a chair order or a qualifying retrofit on an Edge 3 or Q6 Edge 2.0. It is a factory seat option, not a bolt-on accessory, which is why this page is quote-based rather than priced off the shelf.

How high does the seat go?

Up to 12 inches of lift on the Edge 3 Stretto, Edge 3, Q6 Edge 2.0, Q6 Edge Z and Q6 Edge 2.0 X. On the Q6 Edge HD the rating is 10 inches, listed separately as iLevel HD.

Can the chair really be driven with the seat up?

Yes. Quantum rates the drive at up to 4.5 mph fully elevated on the 12 inch bases, which is the speed of a brisk walk. Extra Stability Technology keeps the footprint stable while elevated.

Does iLevel change the weight capacity?

On the 12 inch bases the lift-rated capacity is 300 lbs. On the Q6 Edge HD the base's 450 lb rating becomes 400 lbs with iLevel installed, which is one reason the HD version is listed on its own page.

Does the lift affect ADP funding?

Seat elevation is written on the same prescription as the chair. The therapist decides whether it is justified, the authorizer includes it on the form, and ADP reviews the whole build together. We will confirm what the current ADP position covers when we prepare your quote.

What comes standard when iLevel is on the order?

LED fender lights are standard with iLevel on the current Quantum lineup, front and rear, so the elevated rider is also the visible rider in low light.

Can iLevel be added to a chair we already own?

Is this the same as a seat elevator on other brands?
