Drive prints a full 72 inch (183 cm) length alongside the bed. The same shop product string for PM20BA is 70 x 24 x 0.75 inches. Thickness on that string is 0.75 inches (1.9 cm). The edges are tapered so an overbed table or a patient lift can roll over the mat. This PrimeMat does not fold.

Who this fall mat is for

This fall mat is for a bedside floor that needs a thin, full-length pad Drive built to reduce impact if someone comes off the bed. It is not a fold-up mat. It is not a promise that a fall will not happen.

Thickness, edges, and the floor

Drive's product string prints the PrimeMat 2.0 at 0.75 inches (1.9 cm) thick and 24 inches (61 cm) wide. Drive calls the profile low, with tapered edges so equipment such as an overbed table or a patient lift can roll over easily.

The inner core is molded polyurethane foam at 210 kg per cubic metre. Drive's sheet says that foam absorbs and rebounds to reduce impact in the event of a fall. Drive also prints a 5 foot Egg Drop Test: an egg dropped from 5 feet above the mat without damage. The top is embossed non-slip PVC leather-look, puncture resistant, and Drive says to clean it with mild soap and water. Anti-slip netting is on the bottom.

Drive lists Brown and Gray. This carton is PM20BA brown. Gray is Drive PM20GA, a different SKU. Ask us if you want gray.
