Description
The Mover Plus is a non-powered sit-to-stand transfer platform. This listing is quote-only. Call (905) 451-7743 and Westin Healthcare will quote it, then deliver and set it up for homes and care settings in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Savaria lists a safe working load of 150 kg (330 lb).
This is not a powered Hoyer and it does not use a sling. Savaria says it was developed for indoor use on flat surfaces, and that a crossbar offers secure hand support for safe standing. If the person needs a powered rise and a sit-to-stand vest, see the Handicare MiniLift. If they need a manual rising ladder, see the Handicare ReTurn.
Who it is for
The Mover Plus is for a person who can step onto a low platform, hold a crossbar, and stand with shin support while a caregiver steers. Savaria describes padded shin supports with a large contact surface, including for users with longer legs, and a non-slip marine-plywood platform that helps the user stand steadily with or without shoes. There is no manufacturer grip-strength number. The quote visit is where we check whether this platform fits the person and the rooms.
It is a poor match when the person cannot take weight through their legs or cannot step onto the platform. That is a different lift class.
- Indoor, flat-floor transfers in tight rooms
- Wheelchair-to-chair or similar seated transfers when the person can stand on the platform
- Users within Savaria's 150 kg (330 lb) safe working load
How it lifts
There is no actuator. The person steps onto the low platform, holds the crossbar, and stands against the padded shin supports. Foldable seat cushions can support the person once they are up, or fold out of the way. The caregiver steers from ergonomic handlebars. Savaria describes a narrow base, double-contact casters, a low rear-leg design so the platform can come close to a wheelchair, and full brakes on the rear casters.
Direct Healthcare Group's IFU calls it a mobile transfer platform for indoor use. It is not a boom lift.
Mover Plus specifications
These figures are from Savaria's current Mover Plus page, product code 53-302. The specification tab holds the stored values. Safe working load is 150 kg (330 lb). Length is 37.0 in (940 mm). External width is 24.2 in (640 mm). Step height is 15.0 in (380 mm). Overall height is 40.1 in (1040 mm). Seat height is 32.7 in (830 mm). Rear-leg height is 3.38 in. Front casters are 3.0 in without brakes. Rear casters are 3.94 in with full brakes.
Slings and spreader bar
The Mover Plus has no spreader bar and no sit-to-stand sling. Support comes from the crossbar, shin pads, platform, and foldable seat cushions. If the assessment later needs a vest or a boom sling, that is a different product. See our sit-to-stand slings only when we are quoting a powered sit-to-stand lift alongside this platform.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts or other lifting devices. Funding routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship funding programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.

Can I rent a patient lift while we quote?
Westin Healthcare rents patient lifts. See current packages and rates on the rentals hub. Ask us whether a sit-to-stand aid or an electric floor lift is available while the Mover Plus quote is prepared. The rentals hub and rental program FAQs have the program rules.
Service and warranty
When something on the platform needs work, you call the shop that set it up. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Manufacturer warranty
Savaria and DHG do not print a year count on the Mover Plus product pages we used. Ask us for the current warranty that ships with code 53-302 when we quote. We handle the claim with you.
