Description
The Mobb 3-Wheel Aluminum Rollator is MOBB Health Care's compact 3-wheel rollator for indoor use. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. MOBB prints an 11 lb (5.0 kg) frame, a 300 lb (136 kg) rating, solid 8 inch wheels, locking loop brakes, and a waterproof pouch.
MOBB's own line is that this 3-wheel adds manoeuvrability for indoor use. It is not a seat rollator. If you want a Drive 3-wheel with a tray and pouch, see the Drive Deluxe 3-Wheel Rollator.
Who this rollator is for
This rollator is for a person who stays at or under MOBB's 300 lb rating, fits a 27 to 33 inch handle, and wants a light indoor 3-wheel rather than a four-wheel seat rollator. Families here usually call when hallways are tight and they do not need a seat on the frame.
MOBB does not print a seat, a backrest, or an outdoor rating on this card. If you want Drive's Nitro 3-wheel with a larger front caster, see the Drive Nitro 3-Wheel Rollator.
- An 11 lb (5.0 kg) aluminum 3-wheel for indoor use
- Solid 8 inch wheels and locking loop brakes
- A 300 lb (136 kg) rating and a waterproof pouch
Fit and height
MOBB prints a height of 2 feet 3 inches to 2 feet 9 inches, which is 27 to 33 inches (68.6 to 83.8 cm). That is the handle-height band. Across the back wheels the frame is 24 inches (61.0 cm) wide.
We set the handle so the standing elbow is slightly bent. MOBB does not print a user-height chart. Come in with the shoes the person will wear and we will set the posts. Use Choose Color for Red (MH3RLRE) or Blue (MH3RLBE).
Wheels, brakes, and folding
MOBB fits solid 8 inch wheels and locking loop brakes. Squeeze the loops to slow or stop, then lock them when the person is at rest. The pouch is waterproof.
MOBB does not call this frame foldable on the official card. Do not plan on a published folded size. If you need a manufacturer-stated standing fold, look at the Drive Nitro 3-Wheel Rollator.
Weight and portability
MOBB prints 11 lb (5.0 kg). That is a light one-hand lift for a car trunk or a closet. The 24 inch back-wheel width is the figure to check against a doorway. We still bring it in and set the handles if you want setup in Brampton or the GTA.
Mobb 3-Wheel Aluminum Rollator specifications
These figures are for MOBB items MH3RLRE (red) and MH3RLBE (blue) as printed on MOBB Health Care's current product table. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Handle height 27 to 33 inches (68.6 to 83.8 cm). Width across the back wheels 24 inches (61.0 cm). Solid 8 inch wheels. Product weight 11 lb (5.0 kg). Weight capacity 300 lb (136 kg). Locking loop brakes. Waterproof pouch. Lifetime limited warranty. Colours: red MH3RLRE, blue MH3RLBE.
A 3-wheel or a 4-wheel rollator
A 3-wheel rollator has one front wheel and two rear wheels. MOBB describes this one as an indoor-use frame with a tight footprint and no seat. A 4-wheel rollator usually adds a seat and a backrest for outdoor walking. Neither MOBB nor Drive tells a reader which layout a clinician would choose.
If you want another indoor 3-wheel we stock, look at the Drive Deluxe 3-Wheel Rollator or the Drive Nitro 3-Wheel Rollator.
Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
