Description

The Maple Leaf tilt commode is Maple Leaf Wheelchair's stainless attendant-tilt shower chair, made in Mississauga, for homes and clinics in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The attendant tilts the seat up to 30°. Maple Leaf rates the stock TILCOMSS at 250 lb (113 kg).

This is the custom-width Canadian tilt commode. For a 40° Toronto-made Raz tilt at 407 lb, use the Raz AT. For a 20° aluminum tilt in a set seat width, use the Ezee Life HL190.

Who this tilt shower commode is for

This chair is for a person who needs an attendant to push and tilt a stainless commode, stays at or under Maple Leaf's 250 lb stock rating (unless a heavy-duty package is ordered), and may need a seat width or depth that is not 18 in. Families here usually call when a Mississauga-built tilt chair with a soft seat and a mesh back is the fit.

Maple Leaf writes that the Tilt Commode is an adult tilting commode that can be customized to a wide variety of specifications. That is Maple Leaf's sentence. Westin does not give medical advice.

  • Attendant tilt up to 30°, gas struts
  • Stock 18 in by 18 in (46 by 46 cm) seat, 250 lb (113 kg)
  • Stainless frame, three total-lock 5 in casters and one directional-lock 5 in caster

Tilt, height, and casters

Maple Leaf prints that the chair can tilt up to 30°. The 2026 order form lists gas struts for tilting and anti-tippers on the stock TILCOMSS.

Seat height is 21 in (53 cm) to the rail. Maple Leaf also prints 24 in (61 cm) seat to floor with the soft seat. Back height is 20 in (51 cm) from the rail. Come into a Brampton or Toronto store if you want those two printed heights tried on the floor.

  • Overall weight 32 lb (14.5 kg) including armrests, footrests, and wheels
  • Overall width is seat width plus 4 in on casters, plus 8 in if 24 in rear wheels are ordered
  • Large commode bucket, easy to remove

Design and build

The frame is stainless steel. Maple Leaf prints a 5 year term on frames and a 2 year term on components and accessories.

The stock seat is an 18 in by 18 in Tek4 covered padded / soft waterproof seat. The back is a tension-adjustable mesh. Arms flip back. Footrests swing away. A 4-way adjustable moulded headrest is on the 2026 form. Maple Leaf can build custom widths from 16 to 26 in and custom depths from 16 to 24 in on the order form. Custom sizes are written on the order with you rather than picked online.

Optional 24 in rear wheels (24UC) are listed for the standard seat height only. Heavy-duty packages on Maple Leaf's brochure raise capacity in steps; they are not the stock 250 lb TILCOMSS.

Maple Leaf tilt commode specifications

These figures are from Maple Leaf's product card and the 1 January 2026 TILCOMSS order form. The specification tab holds the stored values. Use the Maple Leaf sheet when they fight.

Weight capacity 250 lb (113 kg) stock. Tilt up to 30°. Seat 18 in by 18 in (46 by 46 cm). Seat height 21 in to the rail, 24 in with the soft seat. Chair weight 32 lb (14.5 kg). Stainless steel. Five-year frame term and two-year component term.

Fixed or tilt, 30°, 40°, or 20°

Stay on the Maple Leaf tilt commode if you want a 30° stainless tilt shower commode built in Mississauga and a custom-width form. Step to the Raz AT when Raz's 40° tilt and 407 lb rating are the fit. Step to the Ezee Life HL190 when a 20° aluminum 18 in tilt is enough. Step to the Raz AP when a fixed attendant shower commode is enough.

Funding help for bathroom safety equipment in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund bathroom safety equipment, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada's Home and Vehicle Modification Program, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers this Maple Leaf tilt commode across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, set the chair, and show you the tilt, caster locks, and bucket before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see the chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

Tilt shower commodes are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions

How Much Does A Maple Leaf Tilt Commode Tilt?

The Maple Leaf tilt commode tilts up to 30°. Maple Leaf prints that figure on the current brochure. That is less than the Raz AT's 40° and more than the Ezee Life HL ladder's 20° posterior tilt.

What Is The Weight Capacity Of The Maple Leaf Tilt Commode?

The Maple Leaf tilt commode is rated at 250 lb (113 kg) on the stock TILCOMSS. Maple Leaf's order form lists higher capacities only on custom-width and heavy-duty packages. Stay at or under the rating written on your order.

What Is The Difference Between A Fixed And A Tilt Commode?

The Maple Leaf tilt commode lets the attendant recline the seat on gas struts up to 30°. A fixed chair such as the Raz AP keeps a level seat. Pick tilt when the attendant needs that range.

Can The Seat Width Be Changed?

The Maple Leaf tilt commode ships as an 18 in by 18 in stock seat. Maple Leaf's 2026 form lists custom widths from 16 to 26 in and custom depths from 16 to 24 in. We write that order with you. Custom sizes are written on the order with you rather than picked online.

Can A Shower Commode Go Over A Toilet?

The Maple Leaf tilt commode is built as a shower and toilet chair with a removable plastic bucket. Maple Leaf does not print a toilet-clearance table on the public card. Come in so we can measure the bowl against the chair on the floor.

Does ADP Cover Tilt Shower Commodes?

Funding for bathroom safety equipment in Ontario depends on the person and the program. Talk to us before you buy. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page and we will point you to the right path for your case.

What Casters Are On The Maple Leaf Tilt Commode?

The Maple Leaf tilt commode ships with three 5 in total-locking casters and one 5 in directional-locking caster. Optional 24 in rear wheels are on the form for the standard seat height only.

What Is Included With The Maple Leaf Tilt Commode?

The Maple Leaf tilt commode includes the stainless tilt frame, stock 18 in by 18 in soft seat, tension-adjustable mesh back, flip-back arms, swing-away footrests, headrest, anti-tippers, four 5 in casters, and a removable plastic bucket, as printed on the 2026 form.

What Is The Warranty On The Maple Leaf Tilt Commode?

The Maple Leaf tilt commode carries Maple Leaf's 5 year frame term and 2 year term on components and accessories. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.

Can I Rent A Tilt Shower Commode In The GTA?

Westin Healthcare rents bathroom safety equipment for short-term needs in the GTA. See the rentals hub and call (905) 451-7743 to check what is on the floor. A rental chair may be a different model than this Maple Leaf tilt commode.
