The Lunar Slim backrest is Future Mobility's slimmer foam wheelchair back support for people who need a full range of motion and still have complex positioning needs. Westin Healthcare fits it in Brampton and across the Greater Toronto Area after a seating check on the chair.
The size control covers Lunar Slim (350 lb / 159 kg) and Lunar Slim HD (500 lb / 227 kg) sizes. It is not Lunar Basic. The stored SKU LBSXXXX is the Slim prefix, not the Lunar Basic Low prefix.
Who this back support is for
The Lunar Slim backrest is for a person whose seating therapist wants a slimmer Lunar shell with poly and visco foam and a breathable incontinence-resistant cover, when range of motion is the priority. Slim HD sizes from 22 in wide are the 500 lb version of the same family.
A seating therapist should confirm Slim versus Slim HD and the height. Westin does not give clinical positioning advice. If you have questions about posture or transfers, ask the therapist who assessed you, or call us and we will book that conversation.
Hardware, laterals, and fit
The shell is aluminum. Foam is a replaceable poly and visco combination. The cover is a newer breathable incontinence-resistant fabric on the factory card. Pins take up to a 2 in (5 cm) seat-width difference. Optional laterals: fixed, height-adjustable, fixed-offset, and adjustable swing-away. Three back heights: low, mid, and full.
The Slim product card does not reprint the 3/4 / 7/8 / 1 in tubing line that Lunar Basic prints. Ask us to confirm cane diameter before we mount it.

Use Choose Cushion Size for the width by height pair. Pairs from 22 in wide are Slim HD on the factory grid. There is no colour control on the product. Ask us about cover colour when you order.
Lunar Slim, Lunar Basic, or Lunar HD
Stay here if you want the slimmer 5.0 lb shell. The Lunar Basic Mid Support is the 250 lb modular Lunar with three lateral styles built in. The Lunar Heavy Duty Full Support is the ribbed 500 lb shell when width and load are the priority. The Max Ultra is the Prism Max back with 3 in higher laterals.
Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario
This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin's own team delivers and fits this back support across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, mount it on the wheelchair canes, and show you the quick-release latches before we leave.

Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased seating is delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

Future Mobility prints 2 years limited on the Lunar Slim back, 90 days on the cover, and 1 year on the hardware, for the original purchaser. That back term is shorter than Lunar Basic. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

A wheelchair back support is ordered by seat width and back height, not by clothing size. Measure the wheelchair seat width and how high the shell should sit on the back canes, then use Choose Cushion Size for the matching width by height. A seating therapist should confirm the size before you order.
