Description

The Harmony 3 is Harmony Products Inc.'s Twin XL consumer adjustable bed, sold as the Harmony 3 Bed Package with Mattress. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The 18-button wireless remote moves the head section and the foot section, and it stores two memory positions beside the Zero Gravity, TV, Quiet Sleep, and Flat presets.

This is a residential adjustable base, not a hospital-style deck. It does not raise the whole bed the way a hi-low hospital bed does, and Harmony does not fit side rails on this model. The owner manual limits the platform to 880 lbs including the mattress and the people on it. Harmony's brochure also prints a 1320 lb motor lift figure for the same base. Twin XL measures 38 inches by 80 inches. The comparison chart lists a 9 inch lowest deck height on the three-piece legs.

Who this bed is for

This bed is for a person who wants a Twin XL adjustable sleep surface at home, with electric head and foot from a wireless remote, and who does not need hospital rails or a powered height raise. Families usually call us when someone wants to sit up to read or watch TV, when a regular box spring has become hard to live with, or when two people want a Split King so each side moves on its own.

If you need the bed to raise and lower for transfers, see the Harmony Hi-Low bed. If you need a hospital-style deck with rails and Trendelenburg tilt, see the Harmony 8199 home care bed. If you want Harmony's current lifestyle card with USB ports and Bluetooth, ask us about the Harmony Pro bed.

  • A bedroom that should still look like a bedroom, with a Twin XL, Queen, or Split King adjustable base
  • Anyone who wants head and foot, zero-gravity, and two memory buttons from one remote
  • A couple who want a Split King so each person can set a different position

What you get

The Harmony 3 is a wireless adjustable base. The remote raises and lowers the head, the foot, or both together. Presets cover Zero Gravity, TV, Quiet Sleep, and Flat. Two memory buttons store the positions you use most. The remote has a flashlight. Under-bed LED lighting turns on from the same remote. Dual-zone massage is built in.

Westin's listing is the Harmony 3 Bed Package with Mattress. The carton includes the base, the wireless remote, three AAA batteries for that remote, the power supply, the mattress retainer, and headboard brackets. Twin XL also includes the synch cable used when two bases are joined as a Split King. Use Size below to set TWIN XL (38" X 80"), QUEEN (59" x 80"), or SPLIT KING (76" X 80"). Use Mattress Transfer Edges to add or skip the firmer edge on the pairing mattress.

  • 18-button wireless remote with flashlight
  • Zero Gravity, TV, Quiet Sleep, and Flat presets
  • Two programmable memory buttons
  • Dual-zone massage
  • Under-bed LED lighting
  • Wall-hugger design, so the base stays closer to the wall as the head rises
  • Three-piece legs for height adjustability
  • Headboard brackets and a mattress retainer
  • Synch cable on Twin XL for Split King setups

Battery backup is the two 9V cells that fit the power supply. Those cells are not in the carton. They are only for flattening an unloaded base if the power is out. There is also an emergency flatten button on the control box if the remote is not working. A surge protector is recommended and is not in the carton.

Harmony 3 specifications

These figures are for Westin SKU H3-TXL, the Harmony 3 Twin XL. The specification tab holds the stored values. Harmony's 2021 brochure for this model lists a Twin XL sleep surface of 38 inches by 80 inches, a Queen of 59 inches by 80 inches, a Split King of 76 inches by 80 inches, a 9 inch lowest deck height, a 170 lb Twin XL foundation, and a 213 lb Queen foundation.

The owner manual Harmony hosts for this base limits the platform to 880 lbs including the mattress and the occupants, spread evenly. Harmony's brochure prints a 1320 lb motor lift for the same frame. Backrest travel on the 2021 chart is 70 degrees. Foot travel is 35 degrees.

Warranty for the original purchaser, printed on Harmony's 2021 Harmony 3 brochure, is a lifetime on the frame, 3 years on parts and labour, and parts pro-rated in years 4 through 20.

Size and Mattress Transfer Edges

Use Size to set the base before you order. Use Mattress Transfer Edges to choose the firmer perimeter on the pairing mattress.

Size

Pick one:

  • TWIN XL (38" X 80")
  • QUEEN (59" x 80")
  • SPLIT KING (76" X 80")

TWIN XL is Harmony SKU H3-TXL, the size this listing is built around. QUEEN is H3-QN. SPLIT KING is two Twin XL bases (H3-TXL x 2) that can run together with the synch cable or stay independent. A Split King needs two Twin XL mattresses, not one king mattress, if each side is going to move.

Mattress Transfer Edges

This listing is sold as a package with a mattress sized for the base you pick. Harmony's pairing surface is the Harmony Relax memory foam mattress (Twin XL 38 inches by 79.5 inches by 10 inches). Mattress Transfer Edges sets:

  • Yes
  • No

Yes adds Harmony's firmer transfer edge, which some people like when they sit on the side to get in or out. No is the standard Relax surface. Confirm firmness with us when you book delivery. Use a mattress that can flex on an adjustable base. Harmony recommends memory foam or latex.

Funding help for a hospital bed in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover hospital beds. OHIP does not cover them either. Depending on the person, other programs may help, including ODSP, March of Dimes, Veterans Affairs Canada, hardship funding programs, and community support programs.

Westin Healthcare works with these funding programs every week. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the contact page and we will check which programs fit your situation before any paperwork starts. The funding page lists the programs we work with.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this bed across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a bed first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased beds are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

Hospital beds are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the bed is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Can I rent a hospital bed before I buy?

Yes. If you only need the bed for a recovery, or you want to live with a full-electric bed before you buy, rent first. Hospital bed rentals start from $150 a month. See current packages and rates on hospital bed rentals in Brampton.

Rental packages include side rails and a therapeutic medical mattress. For rentals we offer same-day delivery in Brampton, Etobicoke, Toronto, and Mississauga, and next-day delivery for other areas, with one day of notice. The shortest rental term is one month.

If you later decide to buy, ask us about the Rental to Purchase First Month Credit program (an active Westin loyalty program). The rentals hub and rental program FAQs have the program rules.

Service, repairs, and warranty

When something on the bed needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Harmony manufacturer warranty

Harmony Products Inc.'s warranty for the original purchaser of this bed, printed on the 2021 Harmony 3 brochure, is a lifetime on the frame, 3 years on parts and labour, and parts pro-rated in years 4 through 20. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

Frequently asked questions

Does OHIP cover hospital beds?

No. Hospital beds in Ontario are not covered by OHIP. A consumer adjustable base is not covered either. Depending on the person, March of Dimes, Veterans Affairs Canada, or a community support program may still help. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will check which path fits before anyone starts paperwork.

Does ADP cover hospital beds in Ontario?

No. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program does not cover hospital beds. It does not cover this Harmony 3 adjustable base either. The funding page lists the programs Westin Healthcare works with, including March of Dimes, Veterans Affairs Canada, and community support programs.

Is the Harmony 3 a hospital bed?

No. The Harmony 3 is a residential Twin XL adjustable base. The wireless remote moves the head and the foot. Harmony's owner manual says the base is for in-home use and is not a hospital or care bed. If you need a hospital-style deck, rails, or a powered height raise, look at the Harmony 8199 or the Harmony Hi-Low instead.

What is the difference between a full-electric hospital bed and this adjustable base?

A full-electric hospital bed usually moves the head, the foot, and the height of the whole deck. The Harmony 3 moves the head and the foot only. It does not raise the frame for transfers or linen changes. Pick a hospital-style bed if a therapist has asked for height, rails, or tilt.

What mattress fits the Harmony 3?

Harmony sizes the Twin XL base for a 38 inch by 80 inch mattress. The pairing surface is the Harmony Relax, 38 inches by 79.5 inches by 10 inches. This listing is sold as a package with a mattress. Mattress Transfer Edges adds Harmony's firmer perimeter. Confirm the surface with us when you book.

Can I rent a hospital bed before buying?

Yes. Westin Healthcare rents full-electric hospital beds with side rails and a therapeutic mattress. Those rental packages are hospital beds, not this Twin XL Harmony 3. See current packages and rates on the hospital bed rentals page. If you later buy, ask about the Rental to Purchase First Month Credit program so we can apply the program rules to your order.

How fast can a hospital bed be delivered in the GTA?

Westin's team delivers and sets up purchased beds across Brampton and the GTA on a scheduled date. Call (905) 451-7743 for the next opening. Same-day delivery belongs to the hospital bed rental service, not automatically to a purchased bed.

What is included with this Harmony 3?

You get the Harmony 3 adjustable base, the 18-button wireless remote, the power supply, the mattress retainer, and the headboard brackets. Twin XL includes the synch cable used for Split King. Size sets TWIN XL, QUEEN, or SPLIT KING. Mattress Transfer Edges sets Yes or No. This listing is sold as a package with a mattress. The 9V backup cells are not in the carton.

What is the weight capacity of the Harmony 3?

Harmony's owner manual limits the platform to 880 lbs including the mattress and the people on it, spread evenly. The brochure's 1320 lb figure is motor lift, not a person weight. If the combined load is near 880 lbs, ask us about a bariatric hospital bed instead of stretching this base.

What happens if the power goes out?

Two 9V batteries in the power supply can flatten an unloaded base. Those cells are not in the carton. The control box also has an emergency flatten button if the remote is not working. Keep the remote batteries fresh so the handset works when power returns.

What is the warranty on the Harmony 3?

For the original purchaser, Harmony's 2021 Harmony 3 brochure covers the frame for a lifetime and parts and labour for 3 years, with parts pro-rated in years 4 through 20. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work on our service and repairs page.

How is the Harmony 3 different from the Harmony Hi-Low and the Harmony Pro?

The Harmony 3 is the Twin XL lifestyle base with an 18-button remote and a 9 inch lowest deck. The Harmony Hi-Low adds a powered height raise and optional rails. The Harmony Pro is Harmony's current lifestyle card, with USB ports and Bluetooth. Pick the 3 when you want this Twin XL wall-hugger base. Pick Hi-Low when transfers need height. Pick Pro when you want the newer lifestyle feature set.
