Description
The Harmony Lite is Harmony Products Inc.'s lifestyle adjustable bed base, sold as the Harmony Lite Homecare Bed. Westin Healthcare quotes it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The 9-button wireless remote moves the head section and the foot section independently, and includes Zero Gravity, Anti-Snore, and Flat presets, one memory button, and a built-in flashlight.
This is not a hospital-style bed. The deck does not raise and lower with a motor. Height comes from the 12 inch legs Harmony ships in 8 inch and 4 inch sections. The published low-profile deck is 2.7 inches. Weight capacity is 750 lbs. The base is not a wall-hugger. This listing is quote-only: request a quote or call (905) 451-7743 and we will confirm size, mattress, and the next setup date.
Who this bed is for
This bed is for a person who wants a simple residential adjustable base in a regular bedroom: electric head and foot from a wireless remote, a folding frame that comes in more easily, and Harmony's current entry lifestyle feature set. Families usually call us when a flat bed has become hard to sit up in, or when they want a saved position for reading without bringing a hospital frame into the room.
If you want the same Harmony brand with a wall-hugger frame, USB charging, under-bed lighting, massage, and an 850 lb capacity, see the Harmony Pro bed. If you need electric height, side rails, and a hospital-style deck, see the Harmony 8199 home care bed. If you want a residential look plus electric height and an 880 lb capacity, see the Harmony Hi-Low bed.
- A bedroom that should still look like a bedroom, not a hospital room
- Anyone who wants electric head and foot, Zero Gravity and Anti-Snore presets, and one memory button on a 9-button remote
- Couples who need a Split King, which is two Twin XL bases that can move on their own
What you get
The Harmony Lite is a folding lifestyle adjustable base. The 9-button wireless remote positions the head and the foot, recalls one saved position, and runs the Zero Gravity, Anti-Snore, and Flat presets. Harmony also lists a flashlight in the remote, mattress retainers, tool-free assembly, and a sync cord when two Twin XL bases are joined as a Split King.
Westin's listing is the Harmony Lite Homecare Bed. Use Size to tell us TWIN XL (38" X 80"), QUEEN (59" x 80"), or SPLIT KING (76" X 80") when you request a quote. There are no side rails on this base. Confirm whether the quote is the base on its own or the base with a mattress.
- 9-button wireless remote with a built-in flashlight
- Zero Gravity, Anti-Snore, and Flat presets, plus one programmable memory button
- Folding frame for a simpler carry-in
- 12 inch legs in 8 inch and 4 inch sections
- 2.7 inch low-profile deck
- Tool-free assembly and mattress retainers
- Sync cord listed for Split King setups
Harmony does not list battery backup on this model. The remote will not raise or lower the base without household power. There is no crank, and this base does not have electric height.
Harmony Lite specifications
These figures are for the Harmony Lite Homecare Bed Westin quotes on this listing. The specification tab holds the stored values. Harmony's current Lifestyle Collection for this model lists a 750 lb weight capacity, a 2.7 inch low-profile deck, a folding frame, and 12 inch legs in 8 inch and 4 inch sections.
Harmony sizes the Lite as Twin XL (38 inches by 80 inches), Queen (59 inches by 80 inches), and Split King (two Twin XL bases, 76 inches by 80 inches). Harmony also lists a one-piece King on this model. That King is not a Size choice on this listing. Confirm the mattress width with us in the quote.
Warranty for the original purchaser is 2 years parts and labour on the full service package, electronic parts pro-rated in years 3 to 15, and the frame pro-rated in years 3 to 20.
Size
Use Size to tell us which base you want quoted. The names on the picker are the names we use here.
- TWIN XL (38" X 80")
- QUEEN (59" x 80")
- SPLIT KING (76" X 80")
TWIN XL is one 38 inch by 80 inch base. QUEEN is one 59 inch by 80 inch base. SPLIT KING is two Twin XL bases that can run together with the sync cord Harmony lists, or stay independent. A Split King needs two Twin XL mattresses, not one king mattress, if each side is going to move.
Harmony also makes a one-piece King on this model. It is not a choice on this picker. Ask us if that is the size you need so we do not quote the wrong carton.
There are no side rails on the Harmony Lite. If a therapist asked for rails or electric height, look at the Harmony 8199 or the Harmony Hi-Low instead of stretching this base. If you want a mattress in the quote, Harmony's pairing surface is the Relax, in Firm or Plush, sized 38 inches by 79.5 inches for Twin XL and 59 inches by 79.5 inches for Queen. A transfer-edge Relax is a separate ask if the person needs a firmer edge to stand from.
Funding help for a hospital bed in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover hospital beds. OHIP does not cover them either. Depending on the person, other programs may help, including ODSP, March of Dimes, Veterans Affairs Canada, hardship funding programs, and community support programs.
Westin Healthcare works with these funding programs every week. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the contact page and we will check which programs fit your situation before any paperwork starts. The funding page lists the programs we work with.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this bed across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a bed first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased beds are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Hospital beds are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the bed is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Can I rent a hospital bed before I buy?
Yes. If you only need the bed for a recovery, or you want to live with a full-electric bed before you buy, rent first. Hospital bed rentals start from $150 a month. See current packages and rates on hospital bed rentals in Brampton.
Rental packages include side rails and a therapeutic medical mattress. For rentals we offer same-day delivery in Brampton, Etobicoke, Toronto, and Mississauga, and next-day delivery for other areas, with one day of notice. The shortest rental term is one month.
If you later decide to buy, ask us about the Rental to Purchase First Month Credit program (an active Westin loyalty program). The rentals hub and rental program FAQs have the program rules.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When something on the bed needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Harmony manufacturer warranty
Harmony Products Inc.'s warranty for the original purchaser of this bed is 2 years parts and labour on the full service package, electronic parts pro-rated in years 3 to 15, and the frame pro-rated in years 3 to 20. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
Does OHIP cover hospital beds?
No. Hospital beds in Ontario are not covered by OHIP, and neither is this lifestyle adjustable base. Depending on the person, March of Dimes, Veterans Affairs Canada, or a community support program may still help. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will check which path fits before anyone starts paperwork.
Does ADP cover hospital beds in Ontario?
No. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program does not cover hospital beds. OHIP does not cover them either. The funding page lists the programs Westin Healthcare works with, including March of Dimes, Veterans Affairs Canada, and community support programs.
Is the Harmony Lite a hospital bed?
No. The Harmony Lite is a lifestyle adjustable base. The remote moves the head and the foot. It does not change height electrically, and it does not take hospital-bed side rails. If you need electric height and rails, start with the Harmony 8199 or the Harmony Hi-Low.
What is the difference between a full-electric hospital bed and this adjustable base?
A full-electric hospital bed moves the head, the foot, and the height of the deck from one control. The Harmony Lite moves the head and the foot only. Height is set with the 8 inch and 4 inch leg sections when we set the bed up.
What mattress fits the Harmony Lite?
Harmony sizes the Twin XL base for a 38 inch by 80 inch sleep surface and prints Queen as 59 inches by 80 inches. The pairing mattress on Harmony's site is the Relax, 38 inches by 79.5 inches or 59 inches by 79.5 inches. Tell us in the quote whether you want the base only or the base with a mattress.
Can I rent a hospital bed before buying?
Yes. Westin Healthcare rents full-electric hospital beds with side rails and a therapeutic mattress. See current packages and rates on the hospital bed rentals page. If you later buy, ask about the Rental to Purchase First Month Credit program so we can apply the program rules to this bed.
How fast can this bed be delivered in the GTA?
Westin's team delivers and sets up across Brampton and the GTA on a scheduled date after the quote is accepted. Call (905) 451-7743 for the next opening. Same-day delivery belongs to the hospital bed rental service, not automatically to a quoted bed.
What is included with this Harmony Lite?
You get the folding Harmony Lite base, the 9-button wireless remote, the 12 inch legs in 8 inch and 4 inch sections, and mattress retainers. Use Size to tell us TWIN XL, QUEEN, or SPLIT KING when you request a quote. Side rails are not part of this base. Confirm the mattress in the quote.
What is the weight capacity of the Harmony Lite?
Harmony lists 750 lbs for this model. If the person is near that limit, or you need electric height and a wider hospital deck, ask us about a bariatric hospital bed instead of stretching this base.
What happens if the power goes out?
Harmony does not list battery backup on the Harmony Lite. The remote will not raise or lower the base without power. There is no crank and no electric height to recover. Keep the remote with the bed so the presets are ready when power returns.
What is the warranty on the Harmony Lite?
For the original purchaser, Harmony covers parts and labour for 2 years, then pro-rates electronic parts in years 3 to 15 and the frame in years 3 to 20. Those terms are printed on Harmony's current Lifestyle Collection. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work on our service and repairs page.
How is the Harmony Lite different from the Harmony Pro and the Harmony Hi-Low?
The Lite is Harmony's current entry lifestyle base: 750 lbs, a 9-button remote, a folding frame, and no wall hugger, USB, massage, or under-bed lighting. The Harmony Pro adds those features and an 850 lb capacity. The Harmony Hi-Low adds electric height. Pick the Lite when you want a simple residential adjustable base. Pick the Pro when you want the fuller lifestyle set. Pick the Hi-Low when you also need the deck to rise and lower.
