Description
The Drive Gravis FLNP600 is Drive Medical's 600 lb floor lift with a manual base. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes and care settings in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The boom is electric. The legs are opened and closed by hand.
Drive prints a 600 lb / 272 kg safe working load on this SKU. The standard cradle is a six-point bar with spring clips. One battery and an external charger stand ship with the lift. The battery can be charged on the lift or on the stand.
Who it is for
This lift is for a person who needs a full-body transfer and whose weight is inside Drive's 600 lb Gravis capacity. Families and homes pick the manual-base Gravis when they want the 600 lb frame without a powered leg motor. If you want the same 600 lb lift with powered legs, see the Drive Gravis with power base. If 500 lb is enough, the Drive Levantar with manual base is the lighter sibling. Another 600 lb option with a four-point rotating cradle is the Drive 13244.
- Bariatric or plus-size transfers inside 600 lb
- Floor pickups, which Drive lists on this model
- Caregivers who will open the base by hand and want the six-point spring-clip cradle
How it lifts
The Gravis is an electric floor lift. The caregiver opens the manual base, attaches a Drive sling to the six-point cradle, and uses the hand control to raise the boom. Drive's user manual says the lift is for a short-distance transfer after a risk assessment, in sitting, sitting/recumbent, or recumbent. Drive also says a single trained, experienced caregiver may operate it under ISO 10535:2006, and that some people and some situations still need two people. We will not tell you one person is always enough.
Redundant controls keep the lift usable if the hand control fails. An LCD and fuel gauge show battery state. Drive sounds an alert for low battery, overload, and maintenance due, and the boom has a safety stop if someone is in its path.
Drive Gravis FLNP600 specifications
These figures are for Westin SKU FLNP600. The specification tab holds the stored values. Drive's family manual prints a 600 lb / 272 kg safe working load, a 52 inch overall length, a 76.3 inch maximum overall height, a 26.75 inch minimum overall height, 2.9 inches of ground clearance, 3 inch front casters, 5 inch locking rear casters, and a 132.2 lb net weight. Drive's FLNP600 sheet prints a boom height of 26 inches to 76 inches. The carton includes one battery and the external charger stand.
Warranty for the original purchaser, in Drive's Levantar/Gravis manual, is lifetime on the frame (Drive defines lifetime as 15 years), 5 years on electronics, and 1 year on the battery. Casters and other wear parts are 90 days.
Slings and spreader bar
Drive fits a six-point cradle with spring clips as standard. The user manual says this family is designed to be used with, and only with, Drive DeVilbiss branded slings. Drive's Gravis sheet also lists heavy-duty slings 13060 and 13061. The sling is sold separately. Start with our full-body slings or universal slings, and we will confirm a Drive sling whose own capacity covers 600 lb if that is what the person needs.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts or other lifting devices. Funding routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship funding programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service; purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Floor patient lifts are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the lift is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Can I rent a patient lift before I buy?
Yes. If you only need the lift for a recovery, or you want to live with a floor lift before you buy, rent first. See current packages and rates on patient lift rentals in Brampton.
Rental packages include an electric floor lift and a sling. For rentals we offer same-day delivery in Brampton, Etobicoke, Toronto, and Mississauga, and next-day delivery for other areas, with one day of notice. The shortest rental term on the rentals page is one week.
If you later decide to buy, ask us about the Rental to Purchase First Month Credit program (an active Westin loyalty program). The rentals hub and rental program FAQs have the program rules.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When something on the lift needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Drive manufacturer warranty
Drive's Levantar/Gravis manual covers the original purchaser with a lifetime frame (15 years as Drive defines it), 5 years on electronics, and 1 year on the battery. Wear parts such as casters are 90 days. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
Does ADP cover patient lifts in Ontario?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program does not cover patient lifts. Other funding routes may still help, depending on the person and the assessment. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will check which path fits before anyone starts paperwork.
What is the safe working load of the Drive Gravis FLNP600?
Drive prints 600 lbs / 272 kg for every Gravis. Stay inside that number for the person plus anything in the sling. The sling must also be a 600 lb Drive sling if the person is in that range.
What sling fits the Gravis?
Drive's manual allows only Drive DeVilbiss slings on this six-point spring-clip cradle. Drive lists heavy-duty slings 13060 and 13061 on the Gravis sheet. We will match the sling when we book setup.
How is the Gravis different from the Levantar?
Same family, same six-point cradle, same charger. Levantar is 500 lb. Gravis is 600 lb. The listing here is the manual-base Gravis. The power-base Gravis is a different SKU.
Can one caregiver operate the Gravis?
Drive says a single trained, experienced caregiver may operate it under ISO 10535:2006, and that some people still need two operators. A 600 lb transfer is one of the times we often plan for a second person. We will not promise that one person is always enough.
Can I rent a patient lift before buying?
Yes. See current packages and rates on the patient lift rentals page. Ask us whether the rental fleet can cover a 600 lb need before you book.
How fast can this lift be delivered in the GTA?
Purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date. Call (905) 451-7743 for the next opening. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service.
What is included with the Drive Gravis FLNP600?
You get the FLNP600 lift with the six-point cradle, hand control, one battery, and the external charger stand. A sling is not included. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets up across Brampton and the GTA.
What is the warranty on the Gravis?
Drive's family manual prints lifetime on the frame (15 years as Drive defines it), 5 years on electronics, and 1 year on the battery. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
Can the Gravis lift someone from the floor?
Yes. Drive's Gravis sheet lists floor pickup as a feature. We will still confirm the sling and the room layout before the first transfer.
