Description
The Span F350CT is Span-America's 350 lb (160 kg) foldable floor lift for car and seated transfers. Span-America is a Savaria company. Westin Healthcare quotes it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes and care rooms in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The sling is sold separately.
This is a passive boom lift with a unique 4-point dynamic spreader bar and clip sling hooks. Span writes that it was created primarily for controlled transfers into and out of a car, and that it also handles car to chair, chair to bed, and floor to chair. It is the car-transfer member of the same Span floor family as the Span F400 (400 lb, foldable, 6-point bar), the Span F500S (500 lb sit-to-stand), and the Span F600B (600 lb full-body). Those are different listings.
Who it is for
This lift is for a person whose own weight, plus the sling, needs a full-body floor lift inside 350 lb, when a car transfer or a foldable footprint is the job. Span's literature marks it for people who need the maximum level of assistance. The owner manual says it is for a person who is completely immobile or dependent on a lift, and that a caregiver must operate it. Official Span video copy also names people with paraplegia or quadriplegia. It is not a sit-to-stand aid. If the person can bear weight on at least one leg and you want a sit-to-stand lift, start with the F500S.
- Car, chair, bed, and floor transfers when the person cannot take their own weight
- Users within Span's 350 lb (160 kg) safe working load
- Rooms that need a 4.7 in base to go under a low bed, and a lift that folds for storage or a vehicle trunk
What you get
The F350CT is an electric floor lift. The caregiver opens the base with the foot pedal, attaches a compatible clip sling to the 4-point bar, and uses the hand control to raise the boom. A second set of up and down buttons sits on the control unit if the pendant is lost or damaged. The battery is quick-release. A plug-in charger is included so you can charge in place. A charging cradle is optional. A backlit LCD shows battery status, and the lift sounds when the pack is low.
Span lists floor extraction, overload protection that stops the lift and alerts when capacity is exceeded, manual emergency lowering, a red emergency-stop button, and foot-activated lock and unlock on the rear casters. For a car transfer, the owner manual describes placing the U opening of the spreader bar around the chest toward the person's head, then turning the bar with the handle so the person faces out of the car. The manual also says transfers belong on a flat, dry surface, that the lift is not meant for long use in a high-humidity room, and that this lift is for transferring a person from one surface to another, not for wheeling a person from room to room while they are in the sling.
This listing is quote-only. You get the F350CT lift, the 4-point clip spreader bar, the hand control, and the plug-in charger. A sling, extra battery, and charging cradle are quoted separately.
Span F350CT specifications

The battery pack is 24 VDC 5 Ah. The lift is certified to ISO 10535 and the 60601-1 family, including the Canadian CSA mark Span lists, plus an SGS mark. Warranty in the Span owner manual and on the current literature is 3 years on the frame or spreader bar, 2 years on the actuator, control box, pendant, charger, scale, or casters (excluding tread), and 1 year on the battery pack.
Do not read the F400 foldable numbers, the F500S sit-to-stand numbers, or the F600B 600 lb numbers onto this lift. Those are different listings.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts or other lifting devices. Funding routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship funding programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service; purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Floor patient lifts are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the lift is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Can I rent a patient lift before I buy?
Yes. If you only need a lift for a recovery, or you want to live with a floor lift before you buy, rent first. See current packages and rates on the rentals hub and the patient lift rentals page. Westin rents electric floor lifts across Brampton and the GTA. Ask us whether a foldable unit is on the rental fleet for your dates.
For rentals we offer same-day delivery in Brampton, Etobicoke, Toronto, and Mississauga, and next-day delivery for other areas, with one day of notice.
If you later decide to buy, ask us about the Rental to Purchase First Month Credit program (an active Westin loyalty program). The rentals hub and rental program FAQs have the program rules.
Which slings this lift fits
The F350CT uses a 4-point dynamic spreader bar with clip hooks. Span's owner manual shows a cradle clip sling locked onto those hooks, and says to pull each connection before you raise the bar. This is a clip attachment on a car-transfer bar, not a loop bar and not a sit-to-stand chest belt. The sling is sold separately. Stay inside 350 lb on both the lift and the sling, and never exceed the lowest rating of the two.
We will confirm a clip sling Span accepts on this bar. Loop slings belong on the Span F400 or the Span F600B, not on this boom. Sit-to-stand slings belong on the Span F500S.
If 400 lb is enough and you want a foldable full-body boom with a standard 6-point bar, start with the F400. If you need 600 lb on a full-body boom, start with the F600B. If the person can bear weight on at least one leg, start with the F500S.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When something on the lift needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Span-America manufacturer warranty
Span's F350CT owner manual and current literature cover the original purchaser with 3 years on the frame or spreader bar, 2 years on the actuator, control box, pendant, charger, scale, or casters, and 1 year on the battery pack. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
Does funding cover a patient lift in Ontario?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts. Other routes can help when the person and the assessment fit, including ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship programs. Westin Healthcare works with those programs every week. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before anyone starts paperwork.
What is the safe working load of the Span F350CT?
Savaria and Span print 350 lb (160 kg). Stay inside that number for the person plus anything in the sling. If the sling is rated lower, the lower number wins.
Does a sling come with the F350CT?
No. The sling is sold separately. We will match a clip sling that uses this 4-point bar and stays inside 350 lb.
Can one caregiver operate the F350CT?
Span's owner manual says a caregiver must operate the lift. We will not promise that one person is enough until the transfer is assessed.
Can the F350CT lift someone from the floor?
Yes. Span lists floor extraction on the current literature. We will still confirm the sling and the room layout before the first transfer.
How is the F350CT different from the F400, F500S, and F600B?
The F350CT is a 350 lb foldable full-body boom with a unique 4-point clip bar for car and seated transfers. The F400 is a 400 lb foldable full-body boom with a 6-point bar. The F500S is a 500 lb sit-to-stand lift for a person who can bear weight on at least one leg. The F600B is a 600 lb full-body boom that does not fold.
What slings fit the F350CT?
Clip slings on the 4-point bar. Span's owner manual shows cradle clip slings locked onto those hooks. Use a sling rated for this bar and for the person. Do not put a loop sling or a sit-to-stand sling on this boom.
Does it work for transfers into a car?
Yes. That is the job Span designed it for. The owner manual walks through a car-to-wheelchair transfer using the U opening of the bar and the handle on the bar. We will still measure the vehicle and the driveway before the first transfer.
Does the F350CT fold for storage or a car trunk?
Yes. Span describes a fold for transport and storage. The owner manual has a fold-down sequence. Folded size is not printed, so we will confirm the folded lift against your car or closet before you rely on that.
Can I rent a patient lift before I buy?
Yes. Westin rents electric floor lifts. See current packages and rates on the rentals hub. Ask us whether a foldable unit is on the fleet for your dates. If you later buy, ask about the Rental to Purchase First Month Credit program.
How fast can a purchased F350CT be delivered in the GTA?
Westin's team delivers and sets up purchased lifts across Brampton and the GTA on a scheduled date. Call (905) 451-7743 for the next opening. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service, not automatically to a purchased lift.
What is the warranty on the F350CT?
Span prints 3 years on the frame or spreader bar, 2 years on electronics and casters, and 1 year on the battery. Westin Healthcare processes the claim. Details are on our service and repairs page.
