Use Color to pick Charcoal (D574-CHAR), Chocolate (D574-CHOC), or Tan (D574-TAN). Those are the three colours on Drive's current D574 sheet. This is the standard D574, not the extra-wide D574EW.

3-position recline, tray, and casters
Drive prints three positions: upright, deep recline, and elevated leg rest / footrest. A retractable lock bar holds the position you set. Drive's self-adjusting seat suspension is there so the person does not bottom out. This is a mechanical recliner. There is no lift motor and no hand control.
The large blow-molded tray locks in 5 positions and stores on the side of the chair. Five-inch casters, two of them with locks, roll the chair and hold it. Side panels pop off for cleaning. Drive prints a moisture barrier on the seat, a built-in headrest, and angled armrests that support the person in any reclined position. The steel frame is a neutral colour Drive says is easy to clean.

Use Color to pick Charcoal (D574-CHAR), Chocolate (D574-CHOC), or Tan (D574-TAN). Those three are the colours Drive prints on the current D574 card and in the 2025 Drive long-term care brochure. Ask us if you need a colour Drive used to print that is not in Color.
Standard geri chair, extra-wide, or a lift chair
Pick Drive's standard D574 for the 19 inch seat and 250 lb rating. The D574EW is the extra-wide sibling at 25 inches between the seat edges and 500 lb, with 24.5 inches (62.2 cm) between the arms. A lift chair such as the Pride Heritage LC-358 uses a motor to raise the person toward a standing position. The D574 does not lift.
Funding help for a geri chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund geri chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, long-term-care and community programs, and a geri chair may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed.
