Description
The Pride Baja Wrangler 2 is a 4-wheel all terrain mobility scooter Canada riders use on trails, gravel, grass, and long property lanes. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets up the BA400 across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
Pride prints a 450 lb (204 kg) rating, dual 24-volt motors (7.7 peak HP), 14.5 in tubeless pneumatic tires, and 8.25 in (21 cm) of mid-frame clearance. Top speed is up to 11.4 mph (18.3 km/h) at 200 lb and up to 11 mph (17.7 km/h) at 450 lb. Range on 75 Ah batteries is up to 13.2 miles (21.2 km) at 450 lb and up to 20.2 miles (32.5 km) at 200 lb. The 100 Ah pair is up to 17.4 miles (28 km) at 450 lb and up to 26.6 miles (42.8 km) at 200 lb.
Who this scooter is for
This all terrain mobility scooter Canada shoppers ask about is for a person who wants a 450 lb trail platform, dual motors, and high clearance, and who has room for a 94.75 in (241 cm) turning radius. Families usually call us when a Pursuit-class outdoor scooter feels low on clearance or traction.
If you want a faster 3-wheel street Baja, see the Pride Baja Raptor 2 3-Wheel. If you want a full-size outdoor scooter that is not a trail dual-motor, start with the Pride Pursuit 2. The Wrangler 2 is not a travel scooter and it does not fold.
- 450 lb (204 kg) rating
- 8.25 in mid-frame clearance, 14.5 in tires
- 61.25 in long, about 33 in wide, 94.75 in turn
Range, speed, and batteries
Pride prints 11.4 mph (18.3 km/h) at 200 lb and 11 mph (17.7 km/h) at 450 lb. Range on the 75 Ah pair is 13.2 miles (21.2 km) at 450 lb and 20.2 miles (32.5 km) at 200 lb. Range on the 100 Ah pair is 17.4 miles (28 km) at 450 lb and 26.6 miles (42.8 km) at 200 lb. Soft ground, hills, and cold weather shorten those figures.
Use Batteries (Options) for the 75 Ah or 100 Ah pair. The charger is 8 amp off-board. Charge until the console shows full, usually overnight. Lead-acid packs wear with charge cycles; Pride does not print a cycle count here.
Portability and transport
The Pride Baja Wrangler 2 does not disassemble as a travel scooter. Pride prints 274 lbs (124 kg) without batteries, 370 lbs (168 kg) with 75 Ah batteries, and 395 lbs (179 kg) with 100 Ah batteries. The heaviest piece is 219 lbs (99 kg) once the seat and batteries are off.
Plan on a heavy-duty vehicle lift or trailer, not a car trunk. It is not an airline cabin item. Sealed lead-acid packs can travel as a mobility aid only when the airline agrees in advance. Unoccupied tie-down points are on the frame.

Accessories add a basket, flag, cover, or holder after the scooter itself is chosen. This BA400 is a 4-wheel scooter only.
Baja Wrangler 2 or Baja Raptor 2
The Pride Baja Wrangler 2 is the trail trim: 4 wheels, 450 lbs, 14.5 in tires, 8.25 in clearance, dual motors, 11.4 mph (18.3 km/h). The Pride Baja Raptor 2 3-Wheel is the street trim: 3 wheels, 400 lbs, 16 in tires, 3.5 in centre clearance, 14 mph (22.5 km/h), 60 in turn. Choose the Wrangler 2 for property, gravel, and clearance. Choose the Raptor 2 3-wheel for speed on packed paths and a tighter turn. A 4-wheel Raptor 2 (BA340) is a separate Pride model and is not this Wrangler.
The Pride Pursuit 2 is the lithium outdoor scooter when you want a full-size 4-wheel without the trail dual-motor chassis.
Funding help for a mobility scooter in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a mobility scooter when the need is long-term and the scooter is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every scooter qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.

Frequently asked questions

Does ADP cover scooters?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program can help with a power scooter after an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses the person. Westin Healthcare walks you through that route. We cannot promise that a specific person will qualify.
Can I take a mobility scooter on a plane?
The Pride Baja Wrangler 2 is a heavy 4-wheel trail scooter and is not an airline cabin item. Sealed lead-acid packs may travel as a mobility aid only when the airline agrees in advance. Plan on a lift or trailer at home, not a plane hold.

Heavy duty mobility scooter weight capacity?
The Pride Baja Wrangler 2 is rated at 450 lbs (204 kg). Stay at or under that figure with rider and cargo together.
Is the Wrangler 2 a 3-wheel scooter?
The Pride Baja Wrangler 2 BA400 is a 4-wheel scooter only. Pride does not make a 3-wheel Wrangler 2. The 3-wheel Baja in this family is the Raptor 2.
