Description
The Amylior Stella rollator is Amylior's aluminum 4-wheel rollator with a seat, made in Quebec. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is a walking aid you push. It is not powered and it has no battery.
Amylior's current brochure rates the standard Stella at 300 lb (136 kg) and the Heavy Duty at 400 lb (182 kg). The standard frame weighs 14.75 lb (6.7 kg). Four 8 inch (205 mm) urethane casters, a reinforced seat, and a locking fold are standard. Cup holder, cane holder, curb climbers, and a removable bag come on the rollator.
Who this rollator is for
This rollator is for a person who stays at or under the 300 lb rating on the 18, 20, or 23 inch seat, or the 400 lb rating on the 20 inch Heavy Duty, and who wants a rollator with a seat for daily indoor and paved outdoor use. Families usually call us when they want a Canadian-made frame that still folds for a car trunk.
If you want a slimmer indoor Type 2 with 6 inch wheels, start with the Human Care Nexus oNe. If you want another Type 3 with cable-free brakes, see the Human Care Nexus 3 or the Triumph Escape.
- Daily walking on firm floors and pavement, with a seat for short rests
- Three standard seat heights plus a wider Heavy Duty
- A fold that locks, and a bag, cup holder, and cane holder already on the frame
Fit and height
Stand with your arms relaxed at your sides and measure from the floor to the crease of your wrist. That number should fall inside the handle range for the seat height you pick. When you hold the grips, your elbows should sit slightly bent.
Stella 18: seat 18 in (455 mm), handles 29.5-33.5 in (750-850 mm). Stella 20: seat 20 in (510 mm), handles 30.5-34.5 in (775-875 mm). Stella 23: seat 23 in (585 mm), handles 33.5-37.5 in (850-950 mm). Stella 20 Heavy Duty: seat 20 in, handles 30.5-34.5 in, seat 19.5 in (495 mm) wide instead of 17.5 in (445 mm). Handles use a quick-release. We set the height at delivery.
Wheels, brakes, and folding
The Stella uses four 8 inch (205 mm) casters with urethane tires. Amylior prints cable brakes, not a cable-free system. Squeeze to slow, lock the brakes before you sit. The oversized backrest strap is height adjustable.
The frame folds and locks for a trunk or a closet. Left and right curb climbers are standard. Amylior also lists optional slow-down brakes if the person wants a steadier walk downhill. Ask us if you want those.
Weight and portability
Amylior prints 14.75 lb (6.7 kg) for the standard Stella without optional parts. Overall width is 24 in (610 mm) on 18/20/23 and 26 in (660 mm) on Heavy Duty. Overall length is 28.5 in (725 mm). That is a car-trunk fold, not a one-hand travel cane.
Optional armrests add 1.9 lb (0.86 kg). Optional footrests add 2.8 lb (1.27 kg). Amylior sells a transport bag if you want a cover for the folded frame.
Amylior Stella specifications
These figures are for the current Stella brochure (R09). The specification tab holds the stored values. Use the brochure when they fight. Do not use the old 14 lb marketing line.
Standard capacity 300 lb (136 kg). Heavy Duty 400 lb (182 kg). Standard seat width 17.5 in (445 mm). Heavy Duty seat width 19.5 in (495 mm). Wheels 8 in (205 mm). Colours red, blue, and black. Warranty for a Canadian purchaser follows Amylior's printed terms: lifetime on the frame and cross-braces, 5 years on the brake handles, and 1 year on other components. Wear items such as upholstery, hand grips, and wheels sit outside that term.
Seat height, colour, and extras
Use Choose Seat Height for Low 18 inch, Standard 20 inch, Tall 23 inch, or Heavy Duty 20 inch. Use Choose Color for red, blue, or black. Ask us if you want Amylior's optional footrests and armrests. That kit is the transport-chair conversion: the person still walks the Stella, and a helper can roll it as a short-trip chair when the footrests and armrests are on. The cane holder is not compatible with the armrests.
Cup holder, cane holder, curb climbers, and the removable bag ship on the Stella. Slow-down brakes and the transport bag are extras. We stock Stella footrests, armrests, the cup and cane holder, and the storage bag as parts. Ask us if you want those extras.
Stella, Nexus 3, or Escape
The Stella is the Quebec Type 3 with cable brakes and a 14.75 lb standard frame. The Nexus 3 is the Ottawa Type 3 with a cross-fold and cable-free brakes. The Triumph Escape is the other Canadian Type 3 with a T-frame that stands folded. The Nexus oNe is the indoor Type 2 with 6 inch wheels.
Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this rollator across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, set the handle height, and show you the brakes and the fold before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a rollator first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased rollators are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This rollator is larger than small parcel goods. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the rollator is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the rollator needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Amylior manufacturer warranty
Amylior's current Stella brochure covers the original purchaser for the life of the frame and cross-braces, for 5 years on the brake handles, and for 1 year on other components. Wear items such as upholstery, hand grips, and wheels sit outside that term. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
Walker vs Rollator: Which Is Better?
A walker is a frame you lift or slide, often with small front wheels and no seat. A rollator is a 3-wheel or 4-wheel walking aid with hand brakes and, on four wheels, a seat. The Amylior Stella is a 4-wheel rollator with a seat. Choose a walker if the person needs to bear weight on a stable frame at every step. Choose a rollator if the person walks under their own power and wants to sit for short rests.
How Do I Choose a Rollator Height?
Measure from the floor to the crease of your wrist with your arms relaxed. Pick the Amylior Stella seat height whose handle range includes that number: 29.5-33.5 in on Stella 18, 30.5-34.5 in on Stella 20 and 20 HD, or 33.5-37.5 in on Stella 23.
Does ADP Cover Rollators?
Some Ontario routes can help with mobility equipment, including wheeled walkers, when the need is long-term and an assessment supports it. Eligibility depends on the person's situation. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
Is the Amylior Stella Powered?
The Amylior Stella is not powered. It has no motor and no battery. You walk and steer it. Optional footrests and armrests let a helper use it as a short-trip transport chair. That is still a push chair, not a scooter.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Amylior Stella?
The Amylior Stella is rated at 300 lb (136 kg) on the 18, 20, and 23 inch seats, and 400 lb (182 kg) on the 20 inch Heavy Duty. Stay at or under the rating for the size you order.
How Much Does the Amylior Stella Weigh?
The Amylior Stella standard frame weighs 14.75 lb (6.7 kg) on Amylior's current brochure, without optional armrests, footrests, or slow-down brakes.
Will a Rollator Fit in a Car?
The Amylior Stella folds and locks for a car trunk. Overall length is 28.5 in (725 mm). We can walk through the fold at delivery.
What Comes on the Stella?
The Amylior Stella includes the aluminum frame, reinforced seat, backrest strap, four 8 inch casters, cup holder, cane holder, left and right curb climbers, and a removable storage bag. Footrests, armrests, slow-down brakes, and the transport bag are extras.
Can I Use the Stella Outdoors?
The Amylior Stella has 8 inch casters and is sold as a daily walking aid. Use it on firm, even ground. It is not an all-terrain or trail rollator.
What Is the Warranty on the Amylior Stella?
Amylior prints a lifetime term on the Stella frame and cross-braces, 5 years on the brake handles, and 1 year on other components, for the original purchaser. Wear items sit outside that term.
