Description

AMG aluminum crutches, item 720-791, are AMG Medical's youth-height underarm pair. Westin Healthcare sells the pair and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. AMG prints a 300 lb (136 kg) rating, anodized aluminum, dual brass push-buttons, and a patient-height window of 4 ft 6 in to 5 ft 2 in.

This is 720-791. AMG's MedPro sheet gives that SKU a crutch length of 36 to 45 inches (91 to 114 cm) and a patient height of 4 ft 6 in to 5 ft 2 in (137 to 157 cm). It is not 720-786 adult, not 720-781 tall, and not 720-793 child. AMG's live shop now lists the same youth window as Avantia 727-790. The pair we stage is 720-791 unless the carton in the cage says otherwise.

Who these crutches are for

AMG writes that the aluminum pair is lighter than wood and built for professional-quality comfort, performance, and durability, with thick underarm pads and washable sponge grips. The 720-791 window is 4 ft 6 in to 5 ft 2 in. Families here usually call when a younger or shorter person needs a pair and wants the height set in Brampton or the GTA.

AMG does not tell a reader to pick this pair over a junior EZee Life frame or a forearm cuff. Westin does not give medical advice. If the person is under 4 ft 6 in, see the EZee Life Junior Aluminum Crutches (EZee Life prints 4 ft to 4 ft 10 in). If they are taller than 5 ft 2 in, see the Medline Basic Adult Aluminum Crutches.

  • A youth-height underarm pair with AMG's 300 lb (136 kg) rating
  • Crutch length 36 to 45 inches (91 to 114 cm) on the MedPro sheet
  • Dual brass push-buttons with 1 inch labels on the center tube

Fit and height

AMG prints 720-791 as crutch length 36 to 45 inches and patient height 4 ft 6 in to 5 ft 2 in (137 to 157 cm). Dual brass push-buttons move the post. Approximate patient-height settings are labeled on the center tube to within 1 inch.

That youth window is not the same as EZee Life junior (4 ft to 4 ft 10 in). Come in with everyday shoes and we will set both sticks from the labeled tube. Stay at or under 300 lb (136 kg).

Frame, pads, and tips

The frame is lightweight anodized aluminum with a double-extruded center tube. AMG fits high-impact ABS handles and armrests, a silencing collar, washable sponge hand grips, thick underarm pads with internal ribbing, and ribbed tips with a metal wear ring and a curved stair deflector.

AMG names its own 725-series tips, grips, and pads on the same sheet. Drive RTL10453, RTL10446, and 10439-8 name Drive 10400-series frames, not 720-791. We will not claim a Drive 10400 part as an AMG fit.

Weight and portability

AMG does not print a unit weight on the 720-791 sheet. The pair is a walking-aid carton. We bring it in and set the labeled height if you want setup in Brampton or the GTA.

Youth, junior, or adult underarm crutches

AMG 720-791 is the youth slot on the MedPro ladder: 4 ft 6 in to 5 ft 2 in. EZee Life junior CH2029 is 4 ft to 4 ft 10 in. Medline Basic adult is 5 ft 1 in to 5 ft 9 in. Hugo Comfort Max 721-780 is tall adult, 5 ft 10 in to 6 ft 6 in. The brands do not share one junior chart. We set the pair from the printed window on the carton.

If you want a forearm cuff instead of an underarm pad, see the Cardinal Health Push-Button Forearm Crutches.

Funding help for a cane or crutches in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund standard canes or crutches, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this pair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in and set both heights from the labeled tube before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see the crutches first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased walking aids are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

This is a compact carton. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods can apply when it ships on its own. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Is 720-791 the Same as Avantia 727-790?
