Choose 15310 when you need a 48-inch foam mattress at Drive's 665 lb rating. If the therapist has asked for a die-cut top and a heel section on the same width, see the ShearCare 1500 in 48 inches. If the bed is 42 inches, use the Drive 15301. If the bed is 54 inches, use the Drive 15312.

Construction and how it works

Drive's 48-inch bariatric foam family is a high-density foam mattress with a solid inner core. The 15301 family sheet, which also names the 48-inch 84-inch sibling 15310-84, describes one-piece foam construction, a polyurethane stretch cover, and a latex-free build. There is no innerspring unit inside. Older page text that called this SKU an innerspring mattress was wrong.

The dedicated 15310 sheet prints a polyurethane stretch cover and compliance with 16 CFR 1633. There is no dedicated heel section on this SKU.

These figures are for Westin SKU 15310, Drive's 48 x 80 x 6.5 bariatric foam mattress. The specification tab holds the stored values. Drive lists a 665 lb weight capacity. Drive also sells 15310-84 (48 x 84 x 6.5, 665 lbs). We do not offer that 84-inch length here.

The 15301 family sheet lists a 1-year warranty for this foam family. The thin dedicated 15310 sheet does not reprint a warranty line. We use the family 1-year term until Drive prints a different number on the 15310 card.

Which Westin beds this mattress fits

Drive 15310 is the 48-inch foam for the Drive 15302LW 48-inch bariatric bed. It does not fit a 36-inch Delta deck. It does not fit the 42-inch Drive 15300LW or the 54-inch Drive 15303LW. Those beds take 15301 and 15312.

15310 is Drive's solid-core 48-inch foam, 665 lbs. ShearCare 1500 in 48 inches is a two-layer die-cut foam with a heel section and a 750 lb rating. ShearCare is the step-up foam on the same 48-inch deck.

How do I clean the 15310 cover?

Drive lists a polyurethane stretch cover. Wipe it with a mild detergent and let it dry. Replacement covers include Drive 15310C (80") and 15310-84CVR (84").
