Description

The Little Wave Clik pediatric wheelchair is Ki Mobility's folding kids ultralight wheelchair for children who self-propel. Westin Healthcare configures it to prescription for families in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. This is not an off-the-shelf cart chair. The child's ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses first. Then Westin writes the seat, the growth build, and the colours on Ki's order form.

Ki lists the Clik at 12.5 lbs (5.7 kg) on the defined 12 by 12 inch transport setup, with a 165 lb (74.8 kg) rating. Seat width and seat depth as sold run 8 to 16 inches. The growable frame can reach 18 inches wide. Ki sells two builds of the same chair: Clik XP and Clik XPe.

Who this kids ultralight wheelchair is for

This chair is for a child who will push on the handrims, who fits Ki's 8 to 16 inch seat, and whose therapist wants a folding pediatric frame with indexed growth rather than a rigid daily chair. Families usually call us when a toddler outgrows a stroller base and needs real wheel access.

If you need tilt, use the Little Wave Arc. If you want the lightest rigid in this ladder, see the Little Wave XP. A live ADP folding pediatric base already on this site is the Ki Mobility Spark.

  • Pediatric folding wheelchair after the child's OT or PT assessment
  • 12.5 lbs (5.7 kg) on Ki's defined 12 by 12 transport setup
  • Index System growth, Clik XP or Clik XPe on the order

Design and build

The Clik folds on a non-welded cross brace. Ki uses TAPER LOK so seating and accessories clamp where the therapist wants them. An offset hybrid frame leaves room for abducted positioning, AFOs, and braces without a wide footprint. Tubing is 1 1/8 inch so aftermarket seating can mount on the seat and the back. An adjustable-height rigidizer bar is standard.

The optional dynamic 5th wheel lets the therapist set range and spring rate, including a mid-wheel setup for the smallest riders. Swing-away armrests grow with the back. A seat-belt clamp sets belt angle. Camber is 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 degrees. Coloured Maxx Mags and designer spoke guards are order-form options. Colours are chosen on the Ki order.

Clik XP and Clik XPe

Clik XP and Clik XPe are the same chair with the same options. The Clik XP build includes a one-time growth kit in the base. The Clik XPe is the same frame without that kit in the base. The child's therapist picks the build on the Ki order.

How the Clik grows

Ki's Index System uses dimples in the frame so width, depth, seat height, centre of gravity, caster wing, upholstery, and the seat pan click into a marked position. Adjustable depth on the order is none, 1, 2, or 3 inches. As sold, seat width and depth are 8 to 16 inches. The growable frame's maximum width on the current order is 18 inches.

Weight capacity 165 lbs (74.8 kg). Seat width 8 to 16 inches (20.3 to 40.6 cm). Seat depth 8 to 16 inches (20.3 to 40.6 cm). Front seat height 11.5 to 20.5 inches (29.2 to 52.1 cm). The owner manual's ISO fold of the tested setup is 28.9 by 21.3 by 26.6 inches.

How this chair is configured

Seat width, seat depth, XP or XPe, camber, colour, seating, the 5th wheel, and transit are set on Ki's form with the child's therapist. There is no single in-stock size. Westin submits the form after the assessment.

Little Wave Clik, XP, or Arc

The Clik is the pediatric folding wheelchair canada option in this family: indexed growth, 12.5 lb transport, XP or XPe. The Little Wave XP is the pediatric rigid wheelchair canada daily chair at 10.8 lb transport. The Little Wave Arc is the tilt chair, 0 to 45 degrees.

Stroller-style tilt is the Little Wave Flip. Early intervention with x:panda seating is the Tyke. A live ADP pediatric rigid is the Rogue XP. A live ADP folding seating base is the Spark.

Funding help for a wheelchair in Ontario

This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area after the assessment, the configuration, and the ADP submission are in place. We bring it in, check the wheel locks and the anti-tips, and show you the Index System and the fold before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty

When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or school.

Ki Mobility manufacturer warranty

Ki Mobility's North America warranty for the original purchaser is lifetime on the frame and quick-release axles, and one year on other Ki-made parts. Expected life of the frame is five years. Wear items sit outside that term. The term does not transfer to a later owner. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

Frequently asked questions

Does ADP Cover Pediatric Wheelchairs In Ontario?

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program covers pediatric wheelchairs for eligible clients. ADP can fund 75 percent of the approved price. The child's ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess first. We cannot promise that a given child will be approved.

What Is The Difference Between Clik XP And Clik XPe?

The Little Wave Clik XP and the Little Wave Clik XPe are the same chair. The XP build includes a one-time growth kit. The XPe build does not include that kit in the base. The child's therapist chooses the build on the order.

How Does The Little Wave Clik Grow?

The Little Wave Clik uses Ki's Index System. Dimples in the frame mark width, depth, seat height, centre of gravity, and caster wing so the next size clicks in. As sold, the seat is 8 to 16 inches. The growable frame can reach 18 inches wide.

How Much Does The Little Wave Clik Weigh?

The Little Wave Clik transport weight is 12.5 lbs (5.7 kg) on Ki's defined 12 by 12 inch setup with the rear wheels off. Seating, wheels, and transit hardware add weight. The 165 lb (74.8 kg) rating is the user limit.

Does The Little Wave Clik Fold?

Yes. The Little Wave Clik folds on its cross brace. Ki's owner-manual ISO fold of the tested setup is 28.9 by 21.3 by 26.6 inches. Rear wheels also come off.

Is The Little Wave Clik Transit Approved?

Ki lists transit as yes on the Little Wave Clik. Occupied transit needs the transit kit Ki approves and the instructions that ship with the chair. Follow the vehicle and kit rules.

What Seat Width Does A Child Need?

The Little Wave Clik seat width as sold runs 8 to 16 inches. The child's therapist measures seated hip width. We will not guess a width from a photo.

What Colours Can We Order?

Ki's current Clik page lists 22 gloss and matte frame and accent colours, plus anodizing and hydrographics. Spoke guards and coloured Maxx Mags are extra ways to mark the chair. The therapist picks colour on the order.

What Is The Warranty?

Ki Mobility warrants the Clik frame and quick-release axles for the life of the original purchaser, and other Ki-made parts for one year. Wear items are outside that term. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.

What Happens If ADP Declines?

Ontario sends a letter with the reason and the appeal route. Do not take delivery of a custom chair on the assumption that a decline will reverse. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will walk through the letter with you and the child's therapist.
