Drive P703 Width Extension 39-42”

The Drive P703 Width Extension (Drive item P703WE) is a pair of side kits that take a Drive PrimeCare P703 from the standard 36 inch sleep width to 39 inches or 42 inches. Westin Healthcare sells it in Brampton and can fit it when we deliver and set up a P703 across the Greater Toronto Area. If you plan to run the bed at 42 inches, order 42 inch bed ends with the kit. This kit is P703 only. A P903 and a P750 already change width on the frame.

Which beds this fits

Drive's current P703 brochure lists P703WE as "P703 Width Extension 39-42", 1pr". Drive's P703 accessories family page uses the same SKU and UPC 822383979441. The 2017 P703 owner manual names the 39 to 42 inch width extension as a P703 option, says both sides must be used, and prints a kit weight of 22 lb.

• The Drive PrimeCare P703 is the only Westin bed that takes this kit

It does not fit the Drive PrimeCare P903. The P903 already opens 36 / 39 / 42 inches with the hardware on the frame Westin sells. It does not fit the Drive Prime Plus P750 (39 / 42 / 48 inches are already on that frame). It does not fit the Drive PrimeCare P503. It does not fit a Drive Delta 1000, a Drive Delta 15235, or a Drive 15005LP. Those homecare frames stay at 36 inches.

At 39 or 42 inches you need a matching mattress. The 36 inch Drive sheets in this group (15030HBL, 15030HBL-3684, 15030HBC) will not cover the wider deck.

Drive P703 Width Extension specifications

These figures are for Drive item P703WE, UPC 822383979441, sold as one pair. The Westin buy box on this listing currently has no Drive SKU stored. The specification tab should carry P703WE.

Drive's current P703 sheet says the optional width kit adjusts to 39 to 42 inches. The standard P703 sleep width is 36 inches. The 2017 owner manual prints overall width of 36 inches without the kit and 39 or 42 inches with it, and a kit weight of 22 lb. Drive's current shop card does not print a tool-free claim or a separate warranty term for this SKU. The P703 weight ratings stay on the current P703 sheet: 550 lb capacity, 500 lb resident. At 42 inches, Drive's P703 bed page tells you to order 42 inch bed ends.

Westin's own team can bring this kit when we deliver and set up a Drive PrimeCare P703 across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We fit both sides and confirm the bed-end width before we leave. If the bed is already in the home, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book a technician visit.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see the bed and this kit first. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased beds and their kits are delivered on a scheduled date.

Hospital beds are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply when this kit travels with a bed. Which bed takes P703WE?

The Drive PrimeCare P703 only. The standard P703 is 36 inches wide. This pair opens it to 39 or 42 inches.

Will it fit a P903?

No. The P903 already changes width on the frame. Putting a P703 width pair on a P903 is the wrong hardware.

Do I need new bed ends at 42 inches?

Yes. Drive's P703 page says that if you set the bed at 42 inches, order 42 inch bed ends with the kit. Tell us the finish when we book the order.

Is it tool-free?

Drive's current card does not print a tool-free claim. Westin can fit both sides at delivery.

Does it change the weight capacity?

No. Stay on the current P703 sheet: 550 lb capacity and 500 lb resident weight.

What mattress do I need?

A 39 inch or 42 inch hospital mattress at the length you set on the P703 (76, 80, 84, or 88 inches with P703LE). 36 inch Drive sheets will not cover it.

What is the warranty?
