Description
The Switch-It CTRL Plus 5 is an R-Net seating box that runs up to 10 power seating functions from buttons, toggles, or voice. Say "Hello Sunrise", then "Sunrise 1" through "Sunrise 10". This control is configured with the power wheelchair through the seating clinic and the ADP process. Westin Healthcare quotes it on a SEDEO Quickie or Zippie order for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
Sunrise prints a 4.25 by 2.5 by 1.25 inch box, a USB-C port at 2.0 A (5 V or 9 V), and a 1/8 inch mono socket. Mount it on the left or right arm pad, or on the back as an attendant control. Voice is English only today. Buttons ship with default actuator functions and can be reassigned.
What this control does
The CTRL Plus 5 plugs into the PG Drives R-Net bus. It does not replace the drive joystick. It gives tilt, recline, elevate, and other seating moves without leaving drive mode. On SEDEO PRO ADVANCED memory seating, one button or one voice command can recall a saved position. Toggle levers suit a broader, weaker movement. Push buttons suit a cleaner tap.
Sunrise names spinal cord injury, MS, and muscular dystrophy as example groups who struggle with small buttons. That is Sunrise's example list, not a diagnosis. The clinic decides if voice, toggles, or buttons are the right access.
Who it suits
The CTRL Plus 5 suits a person on a SEDEO QUICKIE or ZIPPIE chair who needs faster seating access than a joystick menu. If the need is drive, not seating, start with a MicroGuide, Dual Pro, or Vigo. Single pads live on Buttons and Switches.
