Description
The Interstate SLA1165 is a 12 V 55 Ah sealed lead-acid battery in the group 22NF size, with flag terminals. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and can swap it in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Interstate prints SLA1165 on the general-purpose SLA table, not on the Deep Cycle Mobility table. Most mobility devices that take this box run two 12 V batteries in series for 24 V, so you usually buy two and replace both at the same time.
Who this battery is for
This is Interstate's general-purpose 55 Ah 22NF SLA with a flag terminal. It is not the DCM0055 (insert terminal, mobility table) and it is not the GEL0055 (50 Ah gel). Interstate's mobility page does say SLA batteries are a common scooter type. We still match the old terminal before we send a pair. A flag post will not land on an insert-only cable.
Bring the old 22NF or a photo of the posts. Call (905) 451-7743 if the terminal looks like a stud or an insert instead of a flag.
SLA1165, DCM, or gel: which sibling fits
Stay on SLA1165 if the old cell is a flag-terminal 22NF SLA. Interstate's mobility-specific 55 Ah 22NF is the DCM0055. Interstate gel is the GEL0055 at 50 Ah. MK's AGM 22NF is the 8A22NF. Those are different families, even when the box is the same size.
Interstate's FAQ says mobility scooters typically run two 12 V batteries in series for 24 V, and both must share the same Ah rating. Westin sells the SLA1165 as a single 12 V battery. Order two.
Interstate SLA1165 specifications
These figures are from Interstate's official General Purpose SLA table (ABC-985). The specification tab holds the stored values.
12 V. 55 Ah nominal. Length 9.02 in, width 5.43 in, height 8.07 in, total height 8.90 in. Terminal: Flag. Interstate's mobility page prints a 12-month free replacement on mobility scooter and wheelchair batteries.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers this battery across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. When you want the pair swapped at home, we lift the seat or the deck, fit the new pair, and take the old cells for recycle. Book that swap on the battery replacement page or by calling (905) 451-7743.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather bring the old 22NF in. Same-day replacement is offered on that battery replacement service; purchased batteries that ship without a technician are delivered on a scheduled date.
If the order is going outside the GTA, ask us for a shipping quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions
Is SLA1165 The Same As DCM0055?
No. The Interstate SLA1165 sits on Interstate's general-purpose SLA table and uses a flag terminal. The DCM0055 sits on the Deep Cycle Mobility table and uses an insert terminal. Same 55 Ah and 22NF size, different family and posts.
What Terminal Does SLA1165 Use?
Interstate prints Flag on the SLA1165 row. The DCM0055 row prints INS (insert). A flag cable will not land on an insert post. Bring a photo of the old posts if you are not sure.
Do Mobility Batteries Come In Pairs?
Interstate says mobility scooters typically run two 12 V batteries in series for 24 V. Westin sells the SLA1165 as a single 12 V cell. Order two and replace both together.
How Long Do Mobility Scooter Batteries Last?
Interstate's mobility page says power wheelchair batteries last around two years at two to six hours of use a day. When the device slows early, we test the pair.
What Is The Warranty?
