Description
The Power Plus Relax Form Fit backrest with full laterals is Power Plus Mobility's aluminum wheelchair back support for complex postural support and spinal alignment. Westin Healthcare fits it in Brampton and across the Greater Toronto Area after a seating check on the chair.
This is a Power Plus product made in Guelph, not a Future Mobility Lunar or Max back. Factory parts are SHUD16 (16 x 18 in) and SHUD18 (18 x 18 in). It is not a strap-on office cushion.
Who this back support is for
The Power Plus Relax Form Fit backrest with full laterals is for a person whose seating therapist wants a formed aluminum shell with removable cubes for spinal anomalies and full laterals for complex postural support. Power Plus prints it for complex seating and positioning needs.
A seating therapist should confirm the width, the height, and that full laterals are the right contour. Westin does not give clinical positioning advice. If you have questions about posture or transfers, ask the therapist who assessed you, or call us and we will book that conversation.
Hardware, cubes, and fit
The shell is a 3 lb (1.36 kg) aluminum shell with high-resilience foam and removable cubes. Holes are pre-punched for a headrest and laterals. Pins give 2 in (5 cm) of width adjustment. Hardware fits 7/8 in or 1 in canes. The bottom uses TEK4 waterproof material. Finished height is the shell size plus 2 in on the factory spec table.
The factory spec table prints 25 degrees of anterior adjustability and 20 degrees of posterior adjustability. Standard sizes are 16 x 18 in and 18 x 18 in (width by back height). Custom widths and heights use extra factory rows. Ask us to confirm 16x18 or 18x18 before we order. The stored size line that reads 16 x 16 depth is not a factory size.
- Standard ADP row SEBWM0026 on 16x18 and 18x18
- Universal hardware style across the Relax backs
- Optional 1 in longer pins on the factory form
Power Plus Form Fit specifications
These figures are from the Power Plus Full Form Fit brochure and the Form Fit seating owner's manual. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Shell weight 3 lb (1.36 kg). Warranty 2 years on parts; wear items such as upholstery sit outside that term. Power Plus does not print a user-weight number on the current Form Fit brochure, so we do not invent one.
Sizes
Ask us for SHUD16 (16 x 18 in) or SHUD18 (18 x 18 in), or for a custom width or height the therapist specified. We set the hardware on the canes at delivery.
Power Plus Form Fit or a Future Mobility back
Stay here if the therapist specified the Power Plus Form Fit with full laterals. The Max TrueFitt is Future Mobility's cube back. The Lunar Basic Mid Support is Future Mobility's modular Lunar shell. They are different Canadian makers.
Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario
This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and fits this back support across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, mount it on the wheelchair canes, and show you the quick-release latches before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a wheelchair back support first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased seating is delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the back support is going outside the GTA, ask us for a shipping quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the back support needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Power Plus manufacturer warranty
Power Plus Mobility prints 2 years on parts of this seating product. Wear items such as upholstery sit outside that term. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Size Wheelchair Backrest Do I Need?
A wheelchair back support is ordered by seat width and back height, not by clothing size. Measure the wheelchair seat width and how high the shell should sit on the back canes, then use Choose Cushion Size for the matching width by height. A seating therapist should confirm the size before you order.
What Is A Wheelchair Back Support?
A wheelchair back support mounts to the rear canes and holds the trunk. The Power Plus Relax Form Fit backrest with full laterals is a formed aluminum shell with removable cubes. It is not a strap-on office cushion and it is not a whole wheelchair.
Does ADP Cover Wheelchair Cushions?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program can help with a wheelchair cushion or back support after an ADP-registered therapist assessment, when the seating is required with an eligible mobility device. Eligibility depends on the person and the device. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
